Arcade Classics theme [WIP]

Hey guys! New to the forum, but I've been planning on working with Hyperspin for a long time (as soon as I could afford to get a cabinet). I have a graphic design background and I have done some skins for XBMC in the past. Now that I've started work on my cab I've turned my efforts to Hyperspin and wanted to share what I've done thus far:

Here's where I am at the moment:

alot of the fine details are lost with the image compression.

Also made the joystick and buttons so that the colors can easily be swapped

The art guys would say to use a photo hosting site, I think photobucket is one.

Is that a marbling effect on the joystick? I do like that.

The only other thing, which is personal and only down to my age, are the characters. Is it possible to do a 70's/80's centric version for us oldies?

I did however spot the not-so-well rounded corners on the red to yellow rainbow edges. How did you achieve these artwork parts?

Yes it's a marble texture, which I can remove for more variations. Same goes for the characters. I will do a few different versions.

I have a photobucket account, just haven't used it on here yet, I will use it next time.

Those "rounded" corners are unfortunately what photoshop does to the stroke effect when using it more than once or more than a few pixels. It's just temporary though, I plan to trace over it with the pen tool later to make it smoother.

Ok progress update, I'm liking it so far. I'd say it's about 80% or so:

I need more bad guys, but having issues finding decent sources to pull from. I will keep looking

Man major thanks for this! The good VS bad is perfect. I would however suggest "maybe" posting the arch nemesis of all on the left to the right. I never much cared for the default MAME theme. Please post this thing!
