zero dreams Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 First let me say Thank You very much for the search functionality as it takes my HS setup to another level as it's grown substantially over the years. One option I would like to have is to be taken to the game's location to see the game's theme if one exists before it launches. I'm not a huge fan of direct launching from the search navigation but it's just a request. Other than that, throw in some ui customization and you already mentioned the button schema and I'm integrated just lovely over here. I'll think about UI customization but as for browsing to the theme that will be very difficult as HyperSpin provides no API/plugin system to interact with. Remember the search app really has nothing to do with HyperSpin. The only thing that bugged me was the icon for the application. /Upload Here/Polemicist/HyperSearch Icon Yeah I grabbed resource hacker and changed the icon over for amusement. Worked fine. Why are coding people always lacking in artistry? I must be a freak of nature? Now I have to go an work out why I can't get Mame to show up in my searching.

Should cover every user without issue. I love resource hacker. I'll check what version I have. It is damn nice bro so bloody impressed. I did a search for PAC and my god so many different versions of pacman but not in my MAME wheel. I'll get back to ya with the details. Again awesome job. Oh and what's Cricket? Is that the one with the big brown not round ball or the little red ones? Only sports I enjoy involve the high probability of death or women's beach volley ball just don't ask me what the score is as my answer may be R-rated. --- snip --- fixed now

klizine Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Yo Polemicist, nice addition with the icon. I got it all changed up with resource hacker. The only icon that didn't change is the system tray one. I'm on win 7 and a wee bit OCD. Is there any way to fix that? Also, just curious but maybe your MAME.xml has an error in it? Try the most recent and test. I just tested and PAC shows as MAME for me. pietie, this thing rocks!

If I can find the location of the XML error my OCD will be sated. Once pietie updates the application with the icon the system tray should also change.

Like use the one from hyperlist, test, if that works, then compare?... I guess I could reverse test... dang it, now i have to do that.

The Xml parser I use can be set up to complain if it finds nodes/attributes/etc in the Xml document that it does not expect. I just forgot to tell it not to worry If you can send me the Xmls that caused the exceptions I can verify if you like or wait for the next update (hopefully today). I get that dude, I just meant the unaltered one is the control (working) and could compare to the experiment (one you are using and isn't working) ... but there were multiple ones, so I didn't want to guess.
relic Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Ok is it just me or do you think the advanced game feature for hyper search makes it defeats hyperspins purpose Basically what i mean is its nice having a feature where if you type in metal slug for instance it would list a game from all your systems and let you play them straight out but the problem is is it really worth having system menus to go with hyperspin if your gonna play your games straight from the main menu instead with hypersearch or persay if you enter super nintendo and type in super mario and it will list all systems you have then let you play them while in super nintendo system menu then there seems to be no point in having system menus for hyperspin is all im saying so maybe we could have an option to just list the games in the 1 system on each menu once you type them in. or list a game by a or b or etc. 100%

Unfortunately with 103 wheels my video folder is a tad huge.
