ersatz Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks for this great tool, Hyperspin needs a search engine. I've run Hypersearch at startup via HyperHQ and everything's fine but now I don't know how to kill the process at exit. When I close Hyperspin, Hypersearch is still active as a process.

It's really just a visual reordering, the functionality stays exactly the same. Do you have a touchscreen or does it just make it easier to find the right letter? I did a quick test of it and it works okay but due to the way listviews work moving between buttons can be a bit....weird. But please give it a try in the next version and let me know how it works for you... The QWERTY keyboard has been shown to be easier to find buttons on for most people due to it being the most common keyboard layout. Also a few of the common characters found in names for searching would be helpful eg. Pac-man is hard to search for with a "-"

At least you don't use this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Telegraph_Keyboard.jpg But QWERTY is still the most common. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout and with QWERTZ being the next most common and only having the two keys swapped I'm sure the Zaxxon players in France and Germany won't mind looking for their Z...

Then as I scrolled through them the videos popped up but then I got a pop up saying can't load Rambo.xml in database folder. Any ideas? I will rerun search if no success to generate the log when I'm at my pc. Have you been able to reproduce this? relic Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 would it be possible to set search button for enter on keyboard so once you press enter it will auto click search cause as i say its perfect the way you can type stuff in but still needs search to be set to enter key auto well thats a suprise for me you press ctrl + enter to make auto land on search 100%

So if that rambling helped anyone horrah! If not, just keep at it! What is different about your Gun Games wheel? Is it not part of your Main Menu.xml? If HyperSpin can browse it then I would also like to. pietie, as your demanding testers I have one more request (you know you don't have to listen to us, right? ) How about ability to change the exit commands? I have a cab, and ideally would not like to pull out the keyboard, if I decide to close out of HyperSearch. Which is an awesome app by thr way!! Heh I don't have a problem with requests such as these 'cause my mine aim was to make it work for cab users. What key do you have configured in HyperSpin as your exit key? The app already looks at the HyperSpin input settings but there are a couple of issues. If you use a key found on the OSK then the OSK intercepts it. I also don't support combo keys yet... I was thinking maby there could be an option to reverse this setting. I'm using "m" as my player 2 start button. This is also my "back/exit" button in HS. It would be great to be able to us that to exit hypersearch too. As I'm using a cab, I don't ever intend to use the keyboard to type in what I'm searching for. This is of course the complete opposite of what someone that doesn't use a cab would want. Maby we can get the best of two Worlds here. Thanks for making this app. It will be a great addition to my cab.

If you really don't like my yellow video border and you're familiar with XAML or you can figure it out, you can change the Styling in Styles.xaml. It even contains some of the core control templates. What is it using to play the videos? What is it using to "play the videos"?

How about a setting for keeping the mouse pointer hidden if hyperlaunch has been configured that way. For cab users like myself, the mouse pointer is best kept hidden. Would it be possible to completely disable letter typing with keyboard on the OSK? I thought the latest update would do this but I can't use my "back/exit" key (M) to back out of the OSK. Using it to go back to OSK from search results works great, but when on OSK the M key types "M". I couldn't see any diference when using true or false on cabmode setting. Actually I couldn't exit the OSK in any other way than pressing ALT+f4. Esc did nothing. I hope you will consider making these Changes. Just saw you said it didn't do anything... which doesn't sound right. I know I was stoopid and tried updating the config whilst it was running... and thought it wasn't working.
