dougan78 Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Our friends in germany should go check this out this weekend and report back if anyone has time http://c65gs.blogspot.com/2015/10/mega65-prototype-to-be-displayed-at.html?m=1
gigapig Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I love October, imagine being able to go to Oktoberfest and then go along to Amiga30, heaven.
dougan78 Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 I am doing the wheel sounds so as you scroll through wheels it will play c64 based sounds. Any requests for game specific sounds? So far using: Eagles nest Pool of radiance Hero Jump man Mission elevator Ik+ Times of lore River raid Giana sisters I know several monitor this thread so if you have a sound that screems c64 let me know and i will see if i can add it.
gigapig Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Good idea to do system specific sounds, I have modified my main menu but never sub system. Would any synthesized speech work? I know Suicide Express has some and defiantly Impossible Mission.
dougan78 Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 I have all the impossible mission speech in there. Will check suicide express. Iball was another one with speach.

dougan78 Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Do you mean from the frontend or WinVice? Possibly the same, I recall settings drive sounds for WinUAE and Winvice but I can't double check right now.Front end.
gigapig Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 OK, Front end. In that case no sounds at all.
dougan78 Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 OK, In that case no sounds at all. I saw this thread and sparked my interest as the rotating wheel sounds are not c64esque. So got me thinking...and..cutting audio clips..http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/index.php?/topic/11046-Sounds-Project-Assignments
gigapig Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Strangely I'm reading "Commodore, A Company in the Edge" just before bed and get to where it mentions how slow the 1541Disk Drive is when connected to the C64, because of some cock up and the case size.
dougan78 Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 When i cant sleep i read the c64 programmers reference. All those peeks and pokes put you right to sleep.
dougan78 Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Updated post 1 to add the wheel sounds location. When you select C64 from main wheel it plays Another Visitor... Stay a while... Stay forever! Then a there is a bunch of other random sounds from games direct from c64. Cheers. Have sounds you want added let me know! Games with alot of SFX and no music work best. Cheers! http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/10923-commodore-64-wheel-sounds/ Really adds to the nostalgia.
DamnedRegistrations Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 You know I was wondering what had happened to this topic. Before I had left months back and before the forums changed, this used to be over in Platinum section or something right? Glad it didn't get deleted. I thought it was long gone. Where do you have everything uploaded now? I'm checking in the Vault and it seems like most of your wheels are in there but not the database or anything else.
