dougan78 Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 Wheel Update Pack is posted here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/11296-commodore-64-game-wheel-update-20160219/ Box Update Pack is posted here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/11297-commodore-64-game-2d-box-update-20160219/ That is it for me folks! Don't be sad though! We have over 3000 wheels! I know some people don't like having a lot of crap games and wading through 3000 wheels can be cumbersome however if even 1 of these games gets a play becasue it has a wheel it was worth it to me. Just through the process of making all of these wheels I learned of new games that others liked that I may have considered crap (Daredevil Dennis, Blagger, so many more). I thank everyone for again for sharing your favorite games to make sure you had a wheel to enjoy with your favorite games, with out that I would not have had new games to test and take out of the "crap" list and put into my favorites wheel! I know some of my early wheels may be rough but there is still alot of useable artwork here for other sets that is quality stuff. Hey I got better as time went on, I still learn new things in photoshop all the time! I updated post 1 to contain the update packs of wheels and boxes. I left oit a couple of wheels for games that I added those are: Gravatrix Island of Secrets Crossroads Crossroads II If you want those you will need to grab those from the thread. Sites for Media Gathering: http://www.commodorehdcovers.com/ in a different language, also check the forums for additional scans. http://retrocollector.org/ watermarked and images must be cleaned up manually. Sometimes the site screws up and doesnt water mark them. http://www.mobygames.com/ Thank god they have seemed to remove the mobygames from the bottom right corner. Generally has common stuff. http://sfodb.com/ Haven't seen more stuff added here and used alot already but I am sure there is more to be used. http://www.mocagh.org/ Found this one recently and added a couple. Good quality stuff. http://c64tapes.org/games_list.php This is the precursor to retrocollector and still has some scans on it. Might be a few left I didnt use http://www.c64sets.com/ They still add new stuff as of December 2015 http://www.c64games.de/ German site. http://andydecarli.com/Video%20Games/Collection/Commodore%2064/Scans/Full%20Size/ Great guy who scanned his whole collection in mega high res. Thanks Andy! http://ready64.it/ Italian site Fonts Used on Boxes Alot: Crillee - (see Circus Circus (Europe) and Jeepers Creepers! (Europe)) Revue - (see Plantet Attack (Europe)) Frankfurter - dont have an example off hand but i know it is u sed Frankfurter Highlight - see (Gun Dogs (Europe)) In closinging if you love C64 I HIGHLY recommend reading through the entire thread! Grab a favorite beverage and enter the c64 world of nostalgia. There is alot of links to stuff for games, new c64 hardware, etc so certainly worth a read or if you love c64. This c64 kid is passing on the torch to the next C64 media creator Not that i can't be coaxed into making more wheels just need a for real good long break from c64. You can spend years on this system! I know I just about did! LOL
gigapig Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I first thought that your above post was a sad one but hell no. 3000 wheels from one person, that's just incredible and should be celebrated. And that is what I will be doing in a few hours, I shall have a drink on behalf of such a magnificent achievement. Thank you once again. So what's next for Dougan? Heading for the beach or the Amiga wheels?
Dime333 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I can't thank you enough, Dougan. Your work is greatly appreciated.
