Rain Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Yeah, MameUI requires additional source files that are not as of yet handled by QuickMame. I will add these into the next build after a little bit of testing. Thanks!

brucelee00 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Hey Rain, So I gave QuickMame a spin and ran into what I believe is an error, but I could be wrong. I am running Windows 7 followed all the instructions per your guide, but when the compiling get's to linking mame64 the status bar goes idle and nothing happens. The reason I believe I am doing something wrong is because the status bar stays idle and only gives me the option to cancel, which is leading me to believe it's still working. I let it sit for awhile, but nothing happens. The settings I applied when compiling were native 64 bit, core options quad, selected Enable direct Input, Enable High Score. disable warnings, build version 3 base build unselected. Oh by they way, not that this major, but wanted to bring to your attention that you have "Enale DirectInput" insted of "Enable DirectInput" that's to the extent I can help you out at the moment haha. Anyways, as always thank you for your contributions and hard work.
zero dreams Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 When it says "linking mame64" I always check the folder to see if the executable has been created. It always is, so I just click "cancel". I move the executable and the ini to my Mame folder and done. I've mentioned the "Enale" part before but there's not much room to work with in that space anyway. SamVSsami Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I don't get it. I never get the MAMEui? Where does it say "linking MAME64"? Could you post a pic/video, so I know what to do? I've tried it 4 times now, but nothing Build your cabinet, conquer the codes, become a King of Chaos!

Thooperman Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Hi Rain, Using QuickMAME 2.1.0.9, I just did a compile for a 32bit core2, dual core MAME 0.147u3 with Direct input, No-Nag, and Hi-Score support and everything worked fine except the dat file required for saving the high scores was named highscore.dat instead of hiscore.dat I renamed it and everything works fine. Thanks for a cool app.
ThiagoAlmeida Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 i already tried 10 times so far and it did not work, I use win 7 QuickMame [2.1.0.9] http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/ Patch: O sistema não pode encontrar o arquivo especificado Disabling warnings as errors. Enabling DirectInput in Mame source code. zero dreams Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Where it says "Versioning Information", did you leave "Base Build" unchecked? You should have (Direct Input) (Enable High Score) (Disable Warnings), & (Clean Compile) boxes checked. If so, then you will probably get a Mame build compiled. ThiagoAlmeida Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 leave unchecked Base Build ok? and put build version 1 or 3? Thanks for the trouble...
Dazz Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Ok, trying this out again instead of MC64 that I'm already use to. Question about source update patches. Do they need to be applied one at a time under the "Source Patches" tab? Also, I'm confused as to what the "Versioning Information" is used for? It only goes to 3, but I want to update to u4.
larkinja Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Gonna give this a try. For the processor selection, which one would I choose for: AMD A10-5800K APU 3.8Ghz Processor Thanks!
Rain Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 dont work for me First HyperSync, now this? I am seriously thinking there is something wrong with the framework on your PC. Either Jon or I would be glad to take a look at it for you and get your machine running properly and out of its current state.
andyco40 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 lol i did manage to compile it with mr dos way, but when i ran mame with easymame as front end i only had 38 roms showing and with mame 143u9 i had over 2000. im running xp 32bit.
andyco40 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 gonna try hypersync again becouse i never had hypersync in hyperspin dir
sp3ctr3 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Man this looks way easier than normal compiling of mame. Does it include the Cave SH-3 drivers?
newmame Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Well I have been trying to compile 147u4 and 147u3 with no luck and I even tried 147 base and I still end up with the error.. c1.exe: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate make: *** [obj/windows/osd/windows/vconv.o] Error 1 I dont know what to do? Windows xp pro 32bit Pentium 4 2.4ghz 1gb ram
Steelkilt Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I gave it a shot. I received no errors, just no .exe after it's compiled? I'm a total noob, so maybe I'll try unchecking base build and give it another go.
nogarth Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 i was gonna post up an error i got but see it still using 0.147 and i was trying to get it to do 0.148 as released on 11th i'll wait for rain to release /update to new version [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mrmikey73 Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 I'm trying to use this with mamui but not getting an executable. I'm running windows 7. Does anyone know if its because mameui is not supported?
djreddog Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Thought I would give some feedback here. I have never attempted to do a compile before, although I have been reading up on it lately I just thought it was tedious. I used Rain's software with 100% success! Quick Mame 2.1.0.9 WinXP Service Pack 3 Intel Celeron Single Core 450 @ 2.20GHz 2GB of RAM MAME v 0.145 Checked Off Clean Compile, Enable High Score, Disable Warnings Total Time was about 25-30 minutes Thanks for this simple program Rain!!
