Rain Man... If you want I can translate to Portuguese - Brazil, an option for our language! ;)

Yeah, if you translate it I will build it in. :D

Just a little notice guys!

I have been actively working on Quick MAME and a few other startup projects for quite some time now. Countless hours of programming, error checking and manipulations have left me a little exhausted. I will be going on vacation from January 11 - 19 and probably will not have much time to work on any applications (new or otherwise.)

However, during my time off I will update the application for any new versions of MAME that come out, so there will be no real impact on anybody attempting to run Quick MAME.

Once again, I would like to thank everybody for using Quick MAME and reporting back to me with any type of quirk that they encounter. Without your continued help the application would have never made it as far as it did.

Thanks guys!

Thanks Rain! Btw, and it's quite possible something went wrong with my compile, but can anyone confirm that their high scores are indeed saving? I tried multiple times with SFIII and could not get it to register, I didn't try another game as it was pretty late at night. I checked the mame.ini and hi score is listed under MKCHAMP with the number 0, which I know is correct because I had this same setup on my old MAME. Also, I compiled without using any outside patches, I only used the patch supplied within QuickMAME 1.0.0.7. If anyone could please confirm that it's a user wide issue or I'm just plain crazy would be great. I'm going to run some more tests tonight and create a new compile if I don't hear from anyone before then. Thanks!

Ok, I've compiled multiple times now, and none of them can save high scores. One with QuickMAME's high score check box checked, another unchecked and adding my own high score diff, and another two times on my roommates computer. All were .144 roots on Win7 x64 operating systems. Each one has the MKChamp section in the mame.ini, with diasable hiscore patch set to 0. Interestingly enough, there are no no-nag screens for any games, so that part worked. I'm at a loss, am I the only one who can't save high scores? And if so, how is it that I tried on two different PC's and got the same results? If I can't save scores I have to stick with MAME .141 then, because it works for me there. My last resort is to compile my own MAME the old fashioned way and pray for the best. :(

evil eye, I checked & hi scores are saving. I compiled x64 144 root mame. I used the quickmame checkbox for hiscore. Check to see if you have the latest hiscore.dat file in your mame directory.

^ You my friend, are a lifesaver! That was it. I was cleaning out all of the junk in my MAME folder and had accidentally deleted the hiscore.dat file. It works now! Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D

I'm getting the infamous mame :exe. not found maybe bad compile :( when I try to build 144u5 I've tried with and without all the drivers from scratch with the same results. Does anyone get the same? I'm using QM .07

I still haven't gotten a single compile to come out properly from the other end. Seems to crash and die early into the MAME compile, doesn't appear to output anything like logs I can check.

Hi Rain. I've encountered a strange problem. I just compiled MAME 144 root version. The problem is that it will not see my 2 Aimtrak guns as separate ones. It is always seeing the 2 guns as GUN 1 no matter what I do.

If I launch MAME 142, all is good.

Rain - is there a version of Quick MAME that works on 32-bit XP? I can only get the above to work on Windows 7.

Not sure, I haven't used XP in a loooong time. :( Right now Donnei has me up to my neck with Mame Plus; I will check that out in a vbox tonight!

Is there an 32-bit XP version? I can only seem to get this to work on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine (arcade is an older machine with XP).

Thank you.
