Hi Everyone. I'm new here, but I was trying to use quickmame to compile a version with the high scores built in. I haven't tried it the normal way because this seemed to be easier and I wanted to bypass any problems. Unfortunately, the exact opposite has happened. I've tried this over two nights now, in a million different ways, and I seem to keep running into the same problem. This last time, I watched the terminal window the whole way through and everything seems to patch ok, but it always errors on the makefile with this error...

Parameters = OSD=windows TARGETOS=win32 -j3 ARCHOPTS=-march=athlon64

make: *** makefile: Bad file descriptor. Stop.

The only thing I can think it might not like is that I am running an AMD 64 with a 32 bit version of windows, but should that be a problem? I really don't understand it. And I did the MinGW reinstall and non-windows 8 package thing like the instructions say. Can anyone help? I might just try to do it the manual way because I really don't understand why this isn't working...

Thanks!

Nevermind everyone. I just ended up making my own, and it worked the first time. Something weird must be up with my setup, but it worked and I'm glad to be done with the process. Wish I knew exactly what was wrong, but I have highscore support now, so I'm just going to leave it. :)

Awesome man! Do you have one that is for quad core? or does that even matter? I get a build done every time through this but no nag & hi score never works.... So do I just replace my exe with this one?

Thank you so very much.

But, I'm having troubles running it.

It throws a 404 error

System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

Is the server down?

Tested this in 2 different internet connections and PC's.

Thank you.

Oh bummer.

:(

Can anyone please share with me a mame with Nag screens removed and score support?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah I'm getting the 404 error. I was looking a mame version for Aimtrak guns to toy around with. I believe they need to have DirectInput disabled.

I see lots of different Mame versions on the FTP but not anything that would appear to suit. If anyone could upload a NoDirectInput or Aimtrak titled version to the FTP that would be great.

Thanks

I'm getting "The remote server returned and error: (404) Not Found." message. I see it happened to a couple of other users. Can someone confirm if the tool is not working anymore.

Nice update rain. It'll make my life easier as I would have to explain to people how to do this manually.
