I am having an issue with the Steam Wheel Creator. It is not doing anything. It's just sitting at the same two games it started with. Any suggestions?

Is there nothing in the errorlog directory?

Dude just got this working, and wanted to say thank you. This is amazing. I had a lot of issues, but most of it boiled down to a game called THE FOREST that is still in alpha. It kept throwing some exception at me until I stopped trying to sync that game. I guess maybe they don't have the artwork for it yet, or something. At any rate, the only thing I noticed is that it only made a few themes and didn't convert any of the videos, probably user error on my part. But, I can do that stuff myself in a jiffy, so dude, thanks again. You're nailing these apps. I keep having reasons to call friends over to see the "new hyperspin". :D

Quick question regarding the SWC. I am getting this error, only when I chose update from the main screen.

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

at SteamWheelCreator.MainWindow.updateWheel_Click(Object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) in c:\00-Work\Projects\HyperSpinClone\SteamWheelCreator\MainWindow.xaml.cs:line 698

Anyone have any idea what it means? I can create a new list without issue, but I'm not sure how to add games to my steam wheel without starting from the beginning.

I'm getting this exact same error... only when trying to update a wheel. Did you ever find a fix other than starting from scratch?

It's strange... I have had some of the same problems as these people. Now yesterday I said, "Hey, maybe I will try getting that Steam Wheel Creator to work." Like magic, it worked without any problems. The weird thing is I did nothing different. I put in my Steam ID and named the wheel Steam. It worked like a charm. Maybe there is something that happens on the Steam end that randomly causes issues with the software...?? I don't know.

Kudos! Awesome project! Thank you for saving me a LOT of time.

P.s.: Most of the time I use 16:9 videos in my cabinet. Any change we are able to crop them a bit to that size in the program. I can do it externally but it would save even more time.

I have encountered a bug. It overwrites the themes for all games even the unmodified ones. I think it should only write the theme for new or modified games from the program. I had a few themes that I replaced with better ones from the downloads section here and they all got replaced with the ones created from Steam Wheel Creator.

And the Update button still produces an error. After Fetch and I click Create List this comes up: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I would normally deselect the games I have already have setup, or even uncheck update themes etc in the final stages of updating. That's obviously doesn't take into account human error, so maybe if a theme is found have a "Do you want to overwrite" warning box.

Actually I deselected the games I already set up when this happened.

I just tested again and I found out this happens if Default Theme is checked when publishing. It applies the default Steam Wheel Creator theme to every game not just the ones I had selected during the fetch.

Edit: So Update Themes option works fine, its just the Default Theme option that has this issue of applying to every game.

I have some issues :( I kind of wish I never messed with it.

Firstly the xml is odd, the entries that don't show descriptions don't show on the wheel, just blank space.

I've installed SWE again and started a new System named Steam. I only chose to download the wheel images, but when if finishes downloading I only have 100 wheel images of 195.

Anyone have any ideas or know the post if this has been mentioned.

I've had that recently as well. I did try removing the xml from tge folder so SWC made a new one, but it threw up another error because the xml was missing. You could try it though.

I think I started again, created a new profile and had to download everything again, which was a pain, and led to the xml being a bit wonky and it also didn't download all the wheel images.

I think I started again, created a new profile and had to download everything again, which was a pain, and led to the xml being a bit wonky and it also didn't download all the wheel images.

Yea I had to manually move the xml to get passed the missing xml error but yea even after swapping it I get errors.

Guess I'm out of luck on this? Lol. Maybe I should use an older version?

That would be good if Pietie could link to older version, at least to try it out. I wish I kept them now.
