Hello from the middle of nowhere Ontario, Canada. Had a RaspPi3 running RetroPie for the past half a year, and just not happy with sitting at the TV to play arcade games, so, decided to build a cabinet, then somewhere along the line, decided to go PC based instead. Designing the cabinet myself. Full size but trimmed off some of the bulk to make it shallower, and a bit narrower to save space. PC will be a mix-match of new/old parts. Bought a new mATX board with an i3-7100 3.8Ghz and 2x8GB ram. Using my old 550w PSU, 1TB HDD and GTX650Ti-2GB GPU. Plus a 20" 4:3 monitor. Been testing with LaunchBox on my PC (not the arcade hardware yet, that just came thi…

Hello all my name is Clayton. I am 36 and am on my second build. On my last build I did some modifications to an icade and just used a raspberry pi for my system. I am delving deeper into the retro-world with a bartop-2 player and I am going with hyperspin. I am sure I will have many questions along the way and I would like to thank everyone in advance for their help. Special thanks to the builders and software pros. I loved going to the arcades when I was younger and this is such a great project. Thanks again, Clayton

Hello, I figured I would start poking about at the forums. I found this site through YouTube videos by "The AV Archivist". I was trying to find Retropie tutorials, as I have been messing with those little computers for some time. I was frustrated at the Hardware limitations of the pie to play N64 games, and decided to give this stuff a go.

Hey guys, i had an HyperSpin account before, but couldn't remember the username or password so i had to create another one, this was arround 3 or 4 years ago anyway. I have a beautiful 28" arcade, competely restored, I am using hyperspin for a while but i have the dreaful "over 100 video modes" bug . and using magic resolutions is not a solution for me as i want the real CRT look on all games, and as you know magic resoltuions is basicly fitting a 320x240 game into a 640x240 screen , or something like that. Anyway, hopping to keep this frontend with me, i rejoined the group hopping to share my

hi all, New to hyperspin. My first introduction was from a video related to "TinyArcadeMachines", ie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdvfz7dfGfY Having never seen hyperspin before i was very impressed :). I have an icade but after seeing that video and other bartop arcade examples, i need to Upgrade! One thing tho. hyperspin demos show actual game play. Specifically referring to coin op games, (let's say Robotron 2084). What about the demo it plays when not in use? ie: The Robotron demo walks through a number of intro screens plus high score ...etc. I want hyperspin to play those when i'm not actively playing? Many of the coin-op arcades have cool '…

Hello, I'm ThePowerPlayer. I'm new to these forums but have been working with HyperSpin for a couple of months now. I think I'm doing great so far, and I plan to continue. I've been playing video games for a long time, and working on HyperSpin not only allows me to play old favorites and discover new games, but also lets me learn more about computers and troubleshooting when something goes wrong. Still, when I started learning how to use HyperSpin, it turned out to be easy for the most part. I look forward to interacting with the members of the forum and having a great time!
