Is there anyway to get better resolution on this game? the pixels look very bad on this one.. i believe it's at 640 480... I know the gameres.dat can be edited.. not sure how it will apply to the actual emulation... anyone messed with it?

Hey everyone, My question concerns RetroArch and the blissbox. I was able to set up each system with its specified controller. However, I used a 360 pad to navigate through HS's menus. When I load anything in RA, it autoconfigs to the 360 pad. I got this fixed, by assigning autoconfigs to the blissbox inputs. No problems there. However, I get a weird error. When my 360 pad shuts off automatically due to non-use, the other controllers stop working. Basically the ports get reassigned from what I'm gathering. If I turn my 360 pad back on, the controller works. I'm guessing my problem is that the 360 pad takes preference over the others, as it gets assigned to port #0, an…

Weird. I cannot access any of the main menu items on M2. All drop menus are clickable, but I click them and nothing happens??? I've temp moved my old model 2 folder over but I just found it very weird??

Hey guys, Been trying to find a list of games that need to be configured individually in Mame. Crazy Climber, for example. That way I could go from game to game on the list, configure the special controls and Mame will be set up perfectly. Seen anything like that?

Hey everyone Redoing my cab and wanting to dial in retroarch. I was reading that it supports tankstick xarcade now but I absolutely cannot figure out how to setup controllers in the front end. Watched lots of videos but not a lot is out there for 1.3.0 with the new UI Anybody help?

Hey guys, Im trying to make my 64 games look nicer so I added a shader to the game. Im just looking to upscale the graphics. My question is: what else can you do in retroarch to make it look nicer? Also whats a good shader to pick for better quality, rather then the "old school" feel? Thanks

Could anyone check Popful Mail on the Mednafen core for RetroArch? The game crashes the emulator on the screen after the "Push Run" screen. I tried multiple versions of the core and it all behaves the same. Could anyone verify it? I cannot find any information about such incompatibility online.

So I've been updating my emulators lately... and I noticed I still didn't have the most recent version of the PS1 emulator so I updated it today.... glad I did because I never really played it much and probably didn't even bother to mess with the settings to tweak things up but when I updated today... i made it my business to go in there and tweak it up and get it to run like it should and man! I don't know what I was thinking before because I didn't even have half the features setup for the graphics... now the games look NICE! and I actually can see myself playing them. Lessons learned for me... always update the emulators and make sure you have the best settings for…

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has Kega Fusion setup with Sega CD. The problem I'm having is that KF won't detect my BT Virtual drive (note the drive itself works fine and is detected in almost every other CD based emulator such as Demul and SSF). I installed the Windows 10 SPTD as well because RL prompted me to. Doesn't matter what I do Kega won't see the BT drive which makes it so that it doesn't work in my HS/RL setup. All if not most of my games are in bin/cue format and note that I'm able to boot games successfully by loading an image* file and opening the .cue. Problem is that the fusion.ahk using the dt mount method so it doesn't work. Anyone have any experi…

Hi I'm having a real hard time getting the controls working properly with win uea emulator. It's also part of gigapigs emulator pack. I have also tried his host files but seem to have the same issue. The joystick works well but the buttons don't really register well. Like one button works well but the others don't. For example try boo thing chuck rock. The jump button works but to belly hit its not another button but rather if I triple hit the jump button will he belly hit one time when he lands. I also tried another game I can't remember the name of it but the start aka play button wouldn't allow me to start a game. Is there a better emulator for this system or what a…

Holy crap I've spent about the last 3 days getting around and understanding retroarch as I'm going to put it in my cab. The big frustration I have is saving configs per core. I set up a core , rom directory, launch games etc. I'll launch another core and set that one up and get it working . I then go back to the previous core, and all my settings are gone from it, the rom directory is the from the newest one I just had up. There has got to be a simple way to do this? Shouldn't the core launch with what it was setup with? What am I missing?

error waiting for ah_pid 2656 to become active I get this when trying to launch Battle Fantasia in RL I recently added some more Taito Type X/X2 games and this seems to be the only one I can't get to launch... I know I had to set the appWaitExe once before when I first installed a bunch of Taito Type X games but with this one I can't seem to get it going..... if anyone has any suggestions... please feel free.

So I've finished gathering my files to upgrade from 0.149 to current and as stupid as I am, before I move my chd files over I have I question. I think before I just took the whole guts of the folder (d/l'd from PDome) and dropped all of them into my main Mame rom folder. Is that correct or does a guy have to do each of these manually so each chd actually goes Inside the proper games folder? Stupid question but it's been a long ass time Cheers

I would like to open a thread for everyone here who have received their Bliss Box 4-play and have started using it. I have received mine yesterday and tried it with 8 different controllers. The start has been rocky, to say the least, as nothing was working at first. Depending on the USB port where it was plugged the device was detected or not until finally I found a working one. Once detected Windows 10 shows 4 mouse devices named 4-play and in the properties you can try the sticks and the buttons. I'm still really new to this stuff, and this issue could be because I'm playing hacked ROMs (specifically, alternate versions of Super Mario World with different levels and stuff). But a lot of times, when the screen fades to black, either between levels or after that opening message that's common to every Super Mario World rom after you first hit Start... It just kind of never comes back. I'm running Hypserpin & RocketLauncher UI, and the emulator is bsnes. Could it be the ROMs themselves being finicky or could there actually be a setting? Hello so my Hyperspin is all fine and good but lately i have dabbled into Retroarch quite nice program but ive ran into a small bump Im trying to use the snes9x core for retroarch but when i have that core installed and i set in RLauncher to use retroarch im presented with this Seems to want to force me to use bsnes-balanced ive tried to search for this dll? in question and cant find it nor know why its defaulting to that Even on A fresh install it defaults to that core for w/e reason Would appreciate any help with this so i can get the most freedom out of Retro and Hyperspin

Note that ASIO MAME doesn't work with Hyperspin, so you'll have to get a better frontend if you want everything to work properly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3OXHXKJNk0
