Hi Folks! I'm new to Hyperspin and I'm loving it. I've run into a frustrating issues, though with game preview videos. I just singed up for an EmuMovies account, got HyperSync setup and downloaded preview videos for NES. I directed to the correct media folder in HyperHQ but when I boot up Hyperspin, I get the same Green pixelated video screen I did before I had any videos. I did some searching on similar threads. I downloaded the newest K-Lite Codec pack which didn't help anything. THe MP4 videos open fine in VLC or WMP, but just don't seem to render in Hyperspin. I used romlister to generate a filtered mame.xml. I copied the new mame.xml to c:\hyperspin\databases\ but couldn't see any difference. Where is the config pointer to the xml so that I can find the right spot to put the new file? Also, will this location also have the corresponding genre.xml files and can I edit them by hand to add in a couple of games that would otherwise be filtered? e.g. Slapfight (which is a clone of Alcon but I don't want other clones).

quick question on HyperHQ after setting up all my settings in HLHQ, when I start HyperHQ just to check out something the paths are not the same as what I have it set in HLHQ is that ok.. Does hyperspin just use what settings are set in the HLHQ

Some games MAME function normally, others are getting black screen and only hear the sound, I can put the credits and start the game. Summarizing the game runs so that nothing appears on the screen, what can this be? Thanks for any light, already tried everything, I do not know what else to do. My video card is a Geforce GTX 660. The version I tested the mame are the 0150 and 0154, and none of them worked, always getting black screen. I appreciate any help

Right so I have set up my GOG wheel. All the art labeled, vids etc and games working. I labeled the wheel as "GOG" as per the icons in hyperlaunchHQ to get it as hassle free as possible. Im thinking it would have to use the PC launcher module. But the problem is that It does not show up in the module section of the GOG tab. I also cant add it in the PC Launcher area. Has anyone had a play with this and know of anything I have missed or done wrong?

man im at a loss with this system, i have it working great outside hyperspin...i'm trying to setup microsoft msx. ive watched the coleco video explaining set up but still cant get it to launch with hyperlaunch, it just starts the script and sit in tray but wont open the actual emulator...everything is up to date, module and emulator, any help would really be appreciated cause this is driving me up the walls...is there a mess script for msx, got the emulator working fine, but comes back with an error saying this isnt a supported system with this module

After moving some stuff around in my network I went into each 'Emulator.ini' file, in the hyperlaunch folder, for each of my emu's and updated the rom_path to the new network location where my roms are stored. But when running hyperspin and launching a rom it says it can't find said rom and it displays my OLD rom location. However if I run hyperlaunch separately it opens up the NEW network location just fine. Is there another location where the rom_paths are stored?

Hi there, i want hyperspin to show only the roms i got, if i select this in hyperHQ the hyperspin crashes after pressing enter on the selected system. Sorry my english is not the best, i trying my best but i really dont understand everything

HI all, I have just recently updated my old 60 in 1 board and set up hyperspin. Two of my favourite games are slapfight and bank panic, I have downloaded the roms and have the following problems Bank Panic - hyperspin finds it and even brings up the artwork but as soon as I try and set up a "credit" to select player 1 it boots me back to the game selector Slapfight I have downloaded every rom I can find in the internet and it will not pick it up in the name of the game in the game selector. I have done this with other games (trog for example) and they play fine but slapfight is a mystery. I have seen the hyperspin artwork for slapfight on youtube therefore it…

Hello everyone, I have a problem getting the mednafen work, whether for Lynx, snes, genesis, no matter, he always minimizes to the taskbar, if you repair the mednafen the icon appears next to the icon of the chrome, and then closes as I press ESC. This problem only occurs with this mednafen, mame, mess, zsnes, others are all OK. Someone by chance has gone through this? already tried a few options given by djvj to change the -vdriver sdl and I had no success. Hello everyone, I would like your help. I'm using MESS for Atari Lynx, and I'm trying to use Bezels, so that it only calls the Horizontal, Vertical never calls, the game Raiden USA v3.0, getting Bezel Horozontal cutting parts of the game screen. I do not know what I'm doing wrong. Tried using mednafen and not changed anything, I think do not have to do with the emulator but something I missed. I am grateful for the help. I thank you.

And when I try in HyperLaunch it will het to 99% and goes back to blank screen. I really don't see where it goes wrong! Is there a way to launch NullDC in no disk mode. I need to delete save games from the VMU from my cab, without plugging in a mouse to access the nulldc menus. Its probably something simple but I cannot figure it out and google has not been my friend on this one. Any ideas? Ive tried the VMU tools CDI but the option is not there, just save game transfers and the like.

Im not that good with the front end theme bit yet. I know the basics, but this has me stumped. I am trying to get the Spectrum setup. I have renamed everything and all is going well. Hi all is this possible? I have a pc with Windows 7 and hyperspin on and a load of games but I have a separate internal drive with a load of other games for hyperspin. Is it possible to have one copy of hyperspin from both hdds? Be kind please I'm a beginner here.

Hi! I have a problem with my HS system. My Hyperspin starts normally and I can see all my emulators in the main wheel and navigate with the arrow keys. Only when I want to open for example Mame (using the Enter key), the wheel jumps to the emulator the HS indicates when starting HS. I cannot shut down HS with the Esc key. When I press Esc, the main menu freezes. After pressing Esc again HS continues. I have already selected other buttons for "Start" or "Exit" in HyperHQ. It is the same problem. Hey gang... So I've been working on my system for sometime now... and finally have a bunch of emulators with a bunch of games finally downloaded. I'm to the point now where I need to configure everything. I have a 4 person set up. My question: Is there an easy way to set up the basic joystick/button configuration to ALL the emulators at one time ??? Or do I have to go into each game system individually and set up the joystick/button config one system at a time ? I appreciate your input !!! Mike

So I've begun playing around with these, but I've noticed an issue. If I have themes wait for special checked in HyperHQ, it will play the override transition in the foreground (like I want it to), BUT, after that only 1 video or none will play. So if I scroll to another game it won't bother to play any videos for ANY games (and sometimes not even for the game I've selected the transition for). Now if I have this box unchecked, videos work perfectly fine, however, the transitions play in the background, which is a lot less cooler Any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance. Basically what it says up there, there are only a handfull of PC games that I want to play on my cabinet, namely super street fighter 4, so I made it an executable, the problem is that it looks terrible on my wheel. I downloaded a theme but I have no idea how to set it up, I looked all over the forums for answers to no avail, any help?
