stickcross Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I make a special shmup version for my arcade cabinet (Sega Naomi) which have the possibility of forelock the screen in vertical position. It is organized by manufacturer on the main menu. For the moment i have juste create the 15Khz version of games and in the future a 31Khz The idea came to me thanks to the creation of SORHP member on this vertical cocktail. I use this version on a computer that has a removable disk drawer to move from horizontal to vertical release quickly. You can if you wanted to take this distribution on the FTP. PS: sorry for my english, I'm french
gigapig Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Salut! Stickcross Very nice set up you have there, thats enough bullet hell for anyone. What do you mean regarding the removable disk drawer? Your English is good, don't apologise.
Trnzaddict Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Great job man, extremely thorough. I want to make a vertical cab in the future as well. I am......Machine

stickcross Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 Thank you compliments What do you mean regarding the removable disk drawer? It's that: I have two hard drive for the moment, one for horizontal and one for this version. You can create as many as you want on a single computer. Normally when my gameroom is finished I will have four. I have olso original hardware arcade for play, Naomi, Atomiswave... There will be in my gameroom: A Sega Naomi 15Khz (the monitor it's a TV now), two mini cabinet 31Khz linked for the VS fighting homemade (WIP started here:http://www.gamoover.net/Forums/index.php?topic=28389.0) and a HD cabinet homemade (in solidworks for the moment)
yakk00 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 How did you move the lower text for vertical orientation? I am trying to mimic this theme: I was able to disable the text because it was still in the horizontal position. But I would like for the instructions to still be at the bottom of the screen when flipped to vertical.
jeepguy81 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 The special artwork has to be edited to achieve the vertical orientation. I like the skewing of everything, nice effect. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
yakk00 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Any chance you can help me finish that up, pretty please?? Jeepguy?
SORHP Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 This looks cool, I saw that theme once, it would be cool to have a copy when you get her finished, yakk00 My Arcade Machines...
yakk00 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 SORHP: Jeepguy started this for me. But right now, I am unsure as to how to move the FREE PLAY and Next Game artwork. Do you know how to do that? For now, I have disabled that artwork.
SORHP Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 yakk00: can you post the files in the ftp for me, and I will give it a shot? My Arcade Machines...
jeepguy81 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 yakk@ didn't we figure that out? If not yeah lets finish that out. If you run into a hiccup sorph lemme know. I know I had something somewhere for this. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
annomatik Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 But I would like for the instructions to still be at the bottom of the screen when flipped to vertical. If everything else fails, you could put the instructions into PNGs and display these via the theme.
yakk00 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 The files are in Jeepguy's folder. Here are a couple things I have noticed that needs to be fixed -FREE PLAY/PRESS START and Next Game dialog need to be relocated and rotated -"Exit" and "Favorites" dialog needs to be rotated Thanks again guys!
jeepguy81 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 There is a folder with those already rotated, should be up there Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
