Did you get indy or addams working? did the contractors and other flashers work in twilight?

I think I found the bug  have to figure it out these days.

twilight works now with all toys. but the second flasherbank on indy still not :ahhhhh:

I thought of this chris what if you tried mounting LED's underneath the cab you could mount like 6 underneath. There so bright they would shine out the sides. Myabe make it feel like a real pin???

If i go with crees ill do a test underneath my cab with a few up top. If they are that blinding (which are) then placing them underneath might work out nicely.

Those flashers seem a bit bright, it may be more of a distraction for me.

you look not directly in the flashers, so you are not distracted. It's more like playing real pinball. the flashers reflect on the glas and to the room and you know there is something going on ;) you have to see this effect in real.

could be a nice place for flashers too :thrasher:

please try it and post some vids when your setup is ready .

Chris,

You suck! Stop teasing us! :D

Seriously, though, it looks great!

BTW, I just got my LEDWiz boards today. I actually bought 4 (by accident)... I bought 3 off someone that bought them a bit a go and ended up not using them. After talking to him, he figured that they were v1, so I got them cheaper than the v2. I then ordered a v2 from GGG. Well, the three came in today and they are v2! Large chip v2, but v2! :)

So while I needed a couple of other projects, I have an extra one or two if people need them...

My LEDWIZ hasn't been delivered but I got this from Randy at GroovyGameGear:

Hi Frank,

I think someone is spreading some misinformation out there. We are only

shipping "the small chip version" now. I would appreciate it if you

could relay this to the source of this information. It's not necessary

to request it. Additionally, there was actually a "large chip" version

which also had the "Voltage Select" connections, which is the only

difference in board versions. We haven't produced the earlier "single

voltage" version (which was still multi-voltage compatible) for a very

long time.

Thanks,

RandyT

Chris did you mod the back of the LEDLIZ like wolsoft did? I notice he solidered 4 wires on the back? ALso i notice your board has mini heat sinks on the chips.

yes, I soldered 4 extra wires and attached some heat sinks on the driver chips. but I think like wolfsoft said, it's not really necessary for survival. just a precautional measure for a relaxing sleep :D

Chris,

So from ledwiz you have 5 wires into flashers, one common positive and four negatives, one for r, g, b, and w?

Thanks

yes, that's right. 1 common positive (connected to ledwiz voltage bank) and four negatives rgbw (connected to ledwiz output with resistors).

is this what the software is going to be based on? i am trying to see if I should order rgbw or rgb which are a lot cheaper

thank you

you can connect everything you want (max 500mA per output, for more details see ledwiz manual). the ledwiz and the software switches just an rom controlled output on or off.
