those are the only 4 games I have on my setup if there are more I would like to know.

I have fzero,mario kart gp2 and soccer on 4.0-315

and mario kart gp on 4.0-309

https://dolphin-emu.org/download/list/Triforce/1/

How did you manage to get virtual striker 2002 working with 4.0-315 release?

I get "error 12 JVS I/O board does not fulfill the game spec"

Can you post your dolphin triforce settings please ?

Thanks!

You open your iso or however you have your game formatted with note++ and change the game id. then copy the ini and put it in each emulators user gamesettings folder

the game ID is in the first line.

both mario kart games have the same id but make sure the rom names are different.  ID for both is RELSAB

Virtual soccer's ID is GVSJ8P

ROM name Mario Kart - Arcade GP (USA)

Game ID Name RELSAB

I'm gonna have to try to set this up properly, been sitting on the ROMs and emulators for awhile, but the guide I followed before requires me to press F1 to load a saved state manually or I get an I/O type error. As far as I know, there is no way to make the emulator load the state automatically.

Is this method the same thing or does it load the game properly with no errors? If it's the same is there a way around having to load the save state manually?

Just to clarify. As far as I know, there is no way to run the Triforce rom of F-Zero. The arcade version can be accessed through the gamecube game using a hack. I have not tried this, but I'm sure there is info online if anyone wants to explore it.

I was confused by some of the comments above and missed craigandersons question mark. I guess it's not playable as first thought.

I know it's been some time since this thread had a response but I too wanted to know if anyone has F-Zero AX working fully. From this thread it seems people are saying NO but from other places around the web people seem to be saying they can get it fully working. I got it to load but the controls don't work and the sound it real choppy. In the meantime, I just have it play the Gamecube version but not the hack for the arcade version. I have Mario Kart 1&2 fully working using the latest version of Dolphin Triforce but I can't get Virtua Striker to even launch. If you have either of these (VS or FZ) running fully please let me know what you did or post your INI files (not ROMs) here.

Thanks!

Well, I figured out how to get F-Zero AX running by using the hidden game in the F-Zero GX Gamecube ROM. It's not the 100% original coin-op but I understand it is very close and is the best solution I could find. It works great too. Using the latest DOLPHIN Emulator (NOT the Triforce emu) do the following:

1. Obtain a copy of the Gamecube version of F-Zero GX (either NTSC or PAL).
2. Open up the Dolphin Emulator and right-click on F-Zero GX, then select Properties.
3. Click on Edit Config button at the bottom. When the notepad window opens, paste in the following:
[Gecko]
$AX mode

4. While still having the Config open, you need to paste in the NTSC or PAL Gecko codes underneath the $AX Mode script.
5. Go to the following link and scroll down to the WiiRD Codes (Gecko, Ocarina) Version 8 codes. Copy and paste in the appropriate codes.

https://tcrf.net/F-Zero_GX/F-Zero_AX_Code_Archive#WiiRD_Codes_.28Gecko.2C_Ocarina.29
6. Your Config file should look something like mine in the image below. NOTE: MY IMAGE IS JUST A SMALL SAMPLE OF WHAT THE TEXT REALLY LOOKS LIKE. SAVE and EXIT the editor.
7. While still in the properties for F-Zero GX, click the Gecko Codes TAB and check the AX Mode box. Close out of the Properties.
8. In the main menu bar click on OPTIONS-->CONFIGURATION. On the GENERAL TAB check the Enable Cheats box. Click CLOSE and finally test the game. It should now start up the F-Zero AX hidden game.

If this did not work you may need to do it a bit differently:
9. Once the game is running and arrives at the F-Zero GX screen, ALT+TAB back to the Dolphin emulator, navigate in the main menu bar to Tools-->Cheat Manager-->Gecko Codes Tab and check the AX Mode box.
10. Restart the game. If is still did not work make sure you're using the correct NTSC or PAL Gecko codes or try Version 7 codes.

Get the RocketLauncher Sega Triforce system to see and use the game.
1. Rename the F-Zero GX (USA).iso file to F-Zero AX.iso
2. In the Sega Triforce system in RocketLauncher, on the Emulators TAB, ADD a ROMs directory that points to where the F-Zero AX (GX) game is located.
3. Now move over to the Games TAB. Set up this specific game to use the Dolphin Emulator (NOT TRIFORCE) by clicking on the ALTERNATE EMULATORS SubTAB then clicking the ADD (+) button. See Image below
4. Once you have F-Zero AX set up like mine in the last image, click the rocket. If it launches and plays F-Zero AX... YOU DID IT!

Thank you for the tutorial malarrya. Were you able to get Mario Kart GP 1 working, without using a save state (as detailed in this guide: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=142315.0 )?

I'm considering setting it up, but if loading a save state is the only way to make it work, I'm not interested.

Also, did you get Virtua Striker working?

Edit: I did end up getting Mario Kart GP 1 working with the save state hack, it isn't that bad actually because RocketLauncher has a built in setting to load it. I had to edit the module to increase the sleep time a bit though, the sound was messed up otherwise (the save state would try to load too quickly and cause a glitch).

Edit 2: Got Virtua Striker 3 working following kylecp1979's instructions. It wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be. Awesome!

Glad you hear you got it all worked out, I was just looking into all your questions. I haven't played any of these in quite some time but I do know the TriForce games all work on my machine. I play VS3 through the Naomi emulator on my Hyperspin machine but, for most all Naomi games, I use a Marvel vs Capcom 2 machine with a Net DIMM.

EDIT: You should let the guys over at RocketLauncher know that using a sleep timer helps with the sound so they can maybe implement it into the AHK script.
