Sega Master System TecToy

Hey gibbawho do not know if know, but if has a place where the Master System Sega met its apogee was in Brazil, ensuring to the console of 8bits one library of exclussivas games.

In Brazil, the Master System marked the beginning of the partnership Tec Toy, manufacturer of Brazilian toys, with the manufacture of consoles Sega.

Just over a year after the launch of the Master System, Tec Toy officially brought to Brazil. In terms of specific models, the Master System of the Brazilian launch was even sold in the United States. The Master System II, however, was independently released by Tec Toy in April 1991. But the Master System Compact III has a new design, the same used in the Master System II model that was marketed in Europe and the USA.

The Brazilian market received adaptations of several titles released. Since translations of names, such as California Games, turned Summer Games in Brazil, more complex changes, with the exchange of characters (usually by replacing sprites) to meet special licensing in Brazil. Among these, we highlight Monica in Dragon Castle (with Monica comic books), based on Wonder Boy in Monster Land, 3 and Chapolim x Dracula - A Duel Spooky version of Ghost House, starring Chapolin Colorado. To extend the life of the island, also converted released games for the portable Game Gear back to the Master System, case Sonic Blast. In addition, ported unreleased games like Street Fighter II in 1997, which became the larger game (in MiB) system.

the art of the standard may not yet fully corresponds to the standard graphic art adopted by Tectoy to create idendidade master system in Brazil and believe it can be improved.

NOTE :. The Master System in Brazil in its 3rd generation (1994) came with a joystick 6 buttons, used in games like Mortal Kombat 3 and Street figther 2.

Is the base and most active folder for these themes in "Unified Megatheme" Folder on the FTP? Im told that some of these themes are out of date and need upgrading? Should I be looking somewhere else guys?

I can tell you it's not the theme. Just checked and it's correct and working. There's something with your hyperspin. Do you have a system ini file? Easy way to check is to copy one from another system into your PC-FX folder over and see if it works.

I'm currently having to remake a few of the themes as I can't find up to date versions and a few don't seem to keep the overall feel. Is there a specific vid holder we are using to be uniformal ??

There are no up to date versions. There are basically 2 versions. There's a version created by Unknown which is higher than 1080p and has the same back border in every theme. He said it looked better with his setup and that 1080 had jagged edges.

Than there's my version which is 1080p. That one looked better on my setup.

Than there's a 3rd version that Bigawhoo started with different video border. No one ever officially created themes based on that version. I went ahead and updated all my themes at home but never uploaded them anywhere because I never knew if people wanted themes at 1080 or higher. Unknown asked this question several times and only one person replied and that person preferred his themes.

There were a few other themes created by other members as well.

Which themes don't keep the overall feel?

I have a lot of video place holders in all different colours that are up to date but they are all in 1024x768 format. I can upload them tonight for you. Do you want PSD files of the themes as well?

That would be amazing!! To be honest they all have "the feel" hehehe... as its just a simple vid in center, 1 character, 1 pic of console/comp/arcade and a tittle at the top. Im trying to find all the ones with the scrolling backgrounds, but this is proving hard. All the ones I can find all have various dif vid boxes. Not just with the colours, but also the style. Some are all the same, some plain, some the same as another style yet a dif colour. I dont mind what they are as long as they are all neat and have the same kind of style?? I have never made any thems at all... so last night I was trying to get to grips with it. Head f*ck is to put it lightly as Im trying to learn and still remember about the aspect... but also trying to merge swf files and png files... aaaaaargh!! hehehe

Well this is what I mean... ignore the actual art as Im just experimenting, look at the vid border... you think all themes would be nice with this.... maybe all the same. Keep the border but change the colour... or just have dif ones for various systems??

Also the vid should end at the grey border... im learning about Hypertheme and the place/size tools are terrible for getting the details right??

Mine don't have scrolling borders. Someone was making them in flash but I can't remember who. As far as I know there is only a limited number of them with schooling backgrounds.

Hmmmm... then as I have no flash skills I may have to default the all to a static background What do you or others think about the vid borders... unify them or have them all as dif styles for each system??

If you look at the very first page you will see that the video borders all have the same look but different colours to match the theme and system. That's what I've done for all of my systems. I will try to upload them tonight along with all my video border templates.

I kept mine all with static backgrounds for that reason alone. I would like to add some animations though. They look a bit too plain.
