sevenseal Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 just wondering if there is still a need to make these build of arcade64 with the patch. the interest seem low
Suhrvivor Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 If you also overclock the cpu of the Neo Geo driver I'm interested, I'm using a build with that and the difference is night and day (specially in Metal Slug 2).
bhudkins Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I am interested in having arcade64 with the patch. It is very much appreciated!
bhudkins Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Is anyone doing an arcade 64 for 182? Maybe we just wait for 183 now :-)
bhudkins Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Any chance you could do a new arcade64 with 183 please? Thanks
ChrisKant Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 I found one at another page in der the net. Try google

Krakerman Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 @sevenseal Are you going to update your releases to the latest build?
joe35car Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Is there a release for Arcade64 with no nag out? Thanks
sevenseal Posted March 18, 2017 Author Posted March 18, 2017 i can release next one that comes out, there hasnt been much interest so i just kinda just stop due to that, i get much gripe about it than i do get thanks for itSent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
Krakerman Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Well I for one appreciate your time and effort in making these available!! and look forward to the next release you put out. Thanks again!!
Metalzoic Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I haven't updated since 175, but I definitely appreciate you doing them. I'm interested in the CPU overclock @Suhrvivor mentioned
wesfranks Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I am interested also. You can always find a "file" on the internet, but I personally prefer trusting someone who has some idea of what they are doing and creates a consistent build. I for one would appreciate it.

Yes you might as wait another week since that's the next official MAME release. Thanks
Krakerman Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Guess that answered that ? ... Think the folks have spoken your builds are very much appreciated my friend. There are other builds out there but like many find some or most of those sites that have them are questionable at best between ads and pop ups taking over your computer and who knows what else you can catch. Think noone should be complaining when you go to the trouble to make them available here for all.[emoji106]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just updated MAME after about a year of being away. The user "nate67000" posted Regular MAME (Which I prefer to use) 0.183 with NoNag Patch. I don't think he has done that before . You have compiled MAME for me several times in the past on request. Thank you very much for that. If you would compile future versions of MAME with the NoNag patch, I would very much appreciate that.
dougan78 Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Ha I think the interest is high, we are just patient....

pind112 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Can i ask what the difference between MAME64 and Arcade64 is ?
wesfranks Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Not a complete answer but... you could say that the vanilla MAME devs have their own agenda. That you can play the games is considered a "side effect". Sometimes to move ahead to the future they will break some things (including whole systems) to implement WIP code that will work someday. Vanilla MAME is also more in the spotlight and pulls code at the request of game publishers. This has happened before. Arcade64 is a derivative of MAME formerly known as MAMEUIFX. It adds code including "hacks" that allows some games to be playable that don't work in vanilla MAME. Also, they will hold implementing code that stops games from working or in the case of a game publisher request, adds the code back into the compilation (case in point- CAVE). In short, MAME is for the historical project; Arcade64 is for players. However, both work and in truth, there are too many games anyway.
