The HyperSpin 2 beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

@Aorin would love for you to upload your fade screens those screenshots look amazing.

I finally got around to uploading the fades for you, I'll upload the themes along in the week if I find the time to, I hope you don't mind about it being a MEGA link.

It's a good idea using these settings.

In the provided link, there's a "Backgrounds" folder that is used as universal backgrounds for console systems,  once you download this folder, copy the backgrounds to the "_Default" folder inside each console folder, for an easier practice, just rename the backgrounds folder as "_Default", press control+C and right-click on each  console folder clicking in paste, it will place all backgrounds correctly for the consoles.

Personally I don't like unified themes. The more chaotic and arcade-like the better.

And a non-Hyperspin bonus

@Metalzoic where did you get those awesome 'Konami Classics' type cinematic videos at? They're very nice. :)

Kondorito,

Love the Famicom theme but the text at the bottom for each game looks a bit weird to me. I would prefer to file the bar like this - very simple mock-up using the NES mini artwork.

From here. Most of those are the ones by James Baker before he removed them all. The Neo Geo is a combination of two of his I merged and redid the music for. The PGM one is one of his that I altered quite a lot and re-did the music. The Nintendo Classics one is one of his I changed to be Nintendo Classics. The Ghouls n Ghosts is one of his I altered for the dedicated wheel project etc...

I'd love watching your Hyperspin, but Mega only allows me to download the video file, would be better for us to watch it here.

I'm downloading it, will watch it soon.

Maybe I need to create a YouTube channel? Ya it’s about 10 min long, I tried to make it as short as possible lol.

Would be easier for others to watch it.

I just watched it and this is probably the most complex Hyperspin setup I ever saw, I see you have layers and multi Hyperspin instances, plugins, addons, etc., it works so well it's hardly noticeable.

One thing I was looking for and would like to try here for a universal theme concept I'm working on is that special art you're using which displays PSX, Xbox and Arcade buttons in the bar below, can you share it or post the link where I can find it?

Sure I’ll post the Xbox and ps buttons

Really appreciate it, it’s been a labor of love to be honest. I’m not sure on YouTube rules etc. I understand it would be easier to watch else where for sure. If folks have the extra time it’ll be worth it like you suggested hehe. It’s pretty amazing and yes lots of add ins, wanted to ensure it was seamless. I’ll pm you the buttons

It's amazing how Hyperspin can look and feel totally different from one to another.

James baker, he went to launchbox but has since left launchbox and starting his own YouTube channel and hopefully can come back to hyperspin. There are ma y cinematic themes he’s made that make my set up awesome

Your setup is pretty slick. :)

I looked through the downloads section, and the LaunchBox forums, and I can't seem to find Mr. Baker's YouTube channel... can I talk you into uploading the SNES theme to mega? You'd be doing me a favor.

Right on, I respect that, and thanks for the heads up. :)

I actually have a premium launchbox account, do you know where I'd go to get the video in question (I actually checked the Launchbox forums too and couldn't find anything)?
