potts43 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 the problem with mugen is that there can never be a final database. It nearly drove me mad for a few weeks. I worked on this as much as I could stand (if you have ocd tendencies beware ). But thanks for helping this evolve.I wonder if we should just move my mugen folder to the main uploads directory (Uploads/Mugen) and just all commit to one location? It's getting confusing as to what is required to get this working...

potts43 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Xml database from dragon'Roms' from EM in those two uploads folder Ini file from dragons hs upload folder Artwork from yeti hs folder Top man! Cheers
floatingyeti Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 I was going to move my emumovies mugen folder to Uploads/Mugen but i realise if anyone is currently downloading the files i would be a problem. I'm away from my pc now but i suggest moving my artwork from hyperspin ftp to emumovies ftp and merging dragons files in the same folder. I dont want to take credit for anybody else's work but I intended to make an easy setup process and the files are too scattered now. If we dont somone will have to make a guide post about how to find all these files and setup the system.
dragon57 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Feel free to grab my files and have at them, move them, whatever. I post them hoping they help and assume they will be used and abused!
ParadoxSeven Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I'm still a little confuse myself here. This is what I got. 1. Found xml database file in dragons folder on HS (Turned out to need editing as mentioned by him earlier 2. Found Yeti's 'Roms' on EM, but where is the other MUGEN folder, is it even needed anymore 3. Found dragons ini file on HS, placed in hyperlaunch folder modules. (This will need additional fixing for noted founds below) 4. Found the artwork in yet's hs folder, and moved over, at first i wasn't sure where all the loose files went, but i figured it out. It would be nice to get a single mugen source folder created and all files together I appreciate all the hard work, now just trying to piece parts from here and there to get it to work has lead to a few problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Update: Update: Alright so dragons xml is not final, i've fixed everything that was needed, a few of the king of fighters needed to be renamed correctly they were missing "THE" at the beginning, also maybe yeti added a few more 'roms'? Found these that were not in the xml file from dragon, but yeti provided 'roms' for so i've added them to the xml. The Queen Of Fighters XXX V3.7 The Secret Wars TMNT vs X-Men Touhou - Nightfall to Dusk Transformers MUGEN The below were listed in dragons xml but no 'roms' provided by yeti... anybody have them, or are they worthless now. let me know. Babel Sword SNK vs Capcom Ultimate Mugen 3rd Battle Edition v2.0 Big Bang Beat 1st Impression Dragon ball z kai Update 2: just on the mugen.ini in modules, these are the missing .exe entries, i've since fixed my copy. [The King Of Fighters Zillion] gamePath = The King Of Fighters Zillion\The King Of Fighters Zillion.exe exitHack = 0 [The Queen Of Fighters XXX V3.7] gamePath = The Queen Of Fighters XXX V3.7\The Queen Of Fighters XXX V3.7.exe exitHack = 0 [The Secret Wars] gamePath = The Secret Wars\The Secret Wars.exe exitHack = 0 [TMNT Tournament Fighters] gamePath = TMNT Tournament Fighters\TMNT Tournament Fighters.exe exitHack = 0 [TMNT vs X-Men] gamePath = TMNT vs X-Men\TMNT vs X-Men.exe exitHack = 0 [Touhou - Nightfall to Dusk] gamePath = Touhou - Nightfall to Dusk\Touhou - Nightfall to Dusk.exe exitHack = 0 [Transformers MUGEN] gamePath = Transformers MUGEN\Transformers MUGEN.exe exitHack = 0
ParadoxSeven Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I've uploaded my Fixes onto HS upload folder, and provided the folder structure for the loose xml/theme/artwork files. I do not take credit for any of that, just trying to provide a simpler way of getting this all setup. I did not re-up the "media\mugen\videos" nor the "media\mugen\images\wheel" files. Those are in floatingyeti's folder, he provided all of this. I just re-up the "\media\main menu" files in structure. In any case, i'm still missing Babel Sword SNK vs Capcom Ultimate Mugen 3rd Battle Edition v2.0 Big Bang Beat 1st Impression Dragon ball z kai from the original dragon xml, yeti does not have any 'roms' for these, so not sure if he inspected them and got rid of them, or if he is just missing them? I also have not cross references the officially posted Mugen database that had 54 entires to this. Is anything missing between the two? Note: Forgot to mention the fixes although they are listed in an above posted. But the database xml had misspelled games that did not match what yeti provided. The module .ini file was missing a good number of .exe entries so that the games can actually launch. Now just missing the mis-matched roms listed above, then i can double check the database and ini again, and then would like to reference the officially posted database to see if anything is missing.
ParadoxSeven Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Floatingyeti, have you scanned this set with a antivirus or has anybody else scanned this file set? A few of these set off my Antivirus with it detecting malware/viruses. They might just be false positives, but wondering if anybody else had done so, and what you all think.
marxkemp Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I just came across the same with my setup. I had two files
KrillCaz Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Floatingyeti, have you scanned this set with a antivirus or has anybody else scanned this file set? A few of these set off my Antivirus with it detecting malware/viruses. They might just be false positives, but wondering if anybody else had done so, and what you all think. I noticed this, as well. It appears to be false-positives, but I deleted them to be safe. I believe it was 'Cartoon Fighters 2010', 'TMNT Tournament Fighters', and 'The King Of Fighters Shining' which were trojans. I ran them on Virtual PC, and they appeared to only be games, but they aren't worth the chance.
floatingyeti Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 thank you Paradox for organizing the files. I did leave out a few games like Babel Sword that I couldn't get to run fullscreen.
klizine Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 The below were listed in dragons xml but no 'roms' provided by yeti... anybody have them, or are they worthless now. let me know. Babel Sword SNK vs Capcom Ultimate Mugen 3rd Battle Edition v2.0 Big Bang Beat 1st Impression Dragon ball z kai I'm uploading SNK v2 and v3 and BBB 1st to my emumovies folder. (with artwork) I found in an old folder I have called MUGENOLD, so I don't know the quality, origin, or whatever. But grab 'em if you like. I'm working on getting Babel and DBZ kai now.
Polemicist Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I still have to set this up. Nice to see work still happening on it.
klizine Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Ok folks. SNK vs Capcom Ultimate Mugen 3rd Battle Edition v2.0 & 3.0, Big Bang Beat 1st Impression, and Dragon ball z kai including wheel art and videos uploaded to my folder on emumovies. If anyone would go tackle Babel Sword while i get some beers in me, it'd be very appreciated
klizine Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 So I was scrolling through this set happy at it's almost completion when I noticed something odd... all the wheels would be there, but when I scrolled through back to the beginning I noticed some of the wheels that I JUST saw weren't there...I thought I was going nuts (or buzzed) but then I shut down and tried again. Same thing... I've never noticed this with any other system. Is this just me?
zerojay Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 This is likely because the wheels are not properly matching the game names in the database. They are case-sensitive, so if ever you don't see a wheel and then go back in and see it after, it's likely a casing issue.

I was copy pasta-ing and my ol eyes didn't even notice the Of vs of. Good catch! Don's Tools (and me) don't notice the difference.
klizine Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I'm not sure if that's caused by the artwork slightly being out of "normal" of what is expected or what causes this behavior. I will say I've had other systems exhibit this very issue. The only thing that fixed it was to delete the offending artwork and resync with Hypersync. I realize this is not on Hypersync so if removing and re-adding doesn't cure it I don't know what the ailment/cure is. Zerojay was spot on. It was capitalization. I had king Of fighters...the weird part was /is...it doesn't affect the videos. Right now they're "wrong", but play...
marxkemp Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Ok folks. bondy Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 This is great! Thanks to everyone for making this happen. I haven't had any experience setting PC launcher before, so will be a learning curve (that I'm happy to learn). Question - I have xpadder, but am planning to use IPAC controls (on a cab). Will I be able to easily configure the controls across all games to be playable (like MAME)? I'm guessing (and hoping) it's in an .ini file somewhere. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
marxkemp Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Check the readme please because all the openbor games mostly have the same controls
johnodon Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Did Babel Sword ever turn up? I've been searching for it but have come up empty. BTW....I also found the following games: Street Fighter Mugen Edition 2011 Mugen Reborn 2 Any interest? John "There are some who call me.......Tim."
