I have this game almost entirely reproduced exact to the arcade. It's been over 3 weeks of work , recoding and adding fixing and adding new code. Me and Brian have made 4 trips to Disneyland already to record gameplay video, snapshots, log behaviors and proper level structs for the game and sound effects not online. Sound effects were edited and put right in to the game to replace sounds such as the glass breaking sound, sounds when you press start, hi score screen sounds, sounds between player plays etc..

This is extremely close to the arcade as I can get and it's pretty sweet. Even has the level 39 kill screens, and boot garble/romcheck screens just like the arcade.

Probably over 100 additions and changes have been added to make it arcade perfect. There are so many little things they changed from the online version that you really have to look very closely to catch. Everything from the colors, how fast stuff blinks, colors of certain text, fonts, sounds, brick patterns, building graphics, ralph animations, felix animations, window spacing, window styles, glass on window styles, walking behavior, new objects, attract mode sequence and timings, 2 player support with all the proper interlude screens and player turnover screens, high score screen and input behavior, giant bricks that come after level 4, etc..

I've analyzed every aspect of the game from beginning to end in great detail and have replicated it all.

To top it off I added some features that do not interfere with game such as a custom soft dip screen where you can set your lives, max lives, bonus life amount, coinage settings including true free play, high score management, attract mode settings, default reset etc..

Also added an nvram file to store all your high scores and last play stuff, which can be managed from the dip screen thats mocked up like the DK / DKJR soft dip rom upgrade. Scores behavior is accurate as far as roll over and storage.

Also added were some settings that are normally off that you can turn on such as stuff found only online , on iphone, old versions and prototypes of the game, such as alternate bushes styles, lamposts, real voices from ralph and felix for the "Im gonna wreck it" etc.., flowers, shades etc... all optional and off by default.

I'll put up a video next week.

Also Bill.. let me know if and when you need the complete graphics set, Ill get one sent out to ya.

Actually Im even redoing the graphics to match the arcade exactly, I took exact pics of the machine from all angles and got tons of closeups and measurements of the sideart etc.. but I might need you for printing if possible.

One thing that was a pain was getting good sound recordings, so we went to Disneyland at like 7:30 in the morning when no one was hardly there and the arcade was just empty. We were able to isolate many sounds this way. Previous recordings from other trips had a lot of people talking in the background and other machines making noise.

Awesome!! If you let me I would like to have the "redone" artwork to offer everyone instead of my 1st version. This has totally made my day!!!

edit: I can print your graphics for you no prob. Over 300 people have downloaded my set, over 60 people have my actual vinyl graphics set. So there will be a TON of cabs out there just waiting for the final touches.

Yeah mine cuts and prints.. all you have to do is make the vector line in illustrator 1pt and make the swatch named "CutContour" (without the quotes) and select "spot color"

Does your printer have a cutter? That can cut out a shape? The sideart is round and I can draw a line in illustrator to represent the cut?

Well since you have no intention of sharing yours. Which is what i have been hearing?

Can you at least share your video footage of the gameplay from the Actual Arcade Machine with Sjaak.

To help him with his effort. For those of us who might Donate to his cause.

That would help lessen the (Na Na Na Boo Boo) Feeling most of us have now.

Well I thought he wouldn't share it because of legal reasons so that's why I made the mistake and said that. Sorry and Sorry Bill. Not sure if he will share it or not, its his fun little project so its his choice. Either way thats super cool he is making one, just goes to show how dedication and being a great programmer you can really do some cool shit!

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=261165

I can understand.

I was just asking if he has no intention,

Which is what the above link says.

Would he mind helping someone else?

Who said that?

I wouldn't ask anyone to donate for something like this. Everything program I write is free and always has been.

I'm attempting this as a challenge to myself to make an exact replica with optional bonus features. I viewed the screenshots from your link. I don't know the person in question making the game, but I'm sure he's very skilled and a cool guy, but from the introductory screens I can see many things not matching up to the arcade.

I'm not asking for donations, but to come here and ask me to give my stuff away so you can maybe donate to another person kinda doesn't make sense to me. Let me get right on that.

Yes he is a very talented guy.

He created a Replica Pac-Man Battle Royale

I wasn't trying to insult you in anyway.

Guess i should have just asked? If you were going to share the game?

I just read the KLOV Thread today and RidicRick stated you were not going too.

I just got confused i suppose.

My apologies to you and RidicRick.

I welcome anyone who can put a end to this lack of FIX IT FELIX JR. in our cabinets!

So i guess i should do, What i should have in the first place.

Are you willing to share this awesome creation with us?

That was my bad Silkie, I spoke for him without him actually saying yes or know.. (kicking myself in the head now) just thought by saying no then nobody would bug him about it. My bad. But anyways that Pac-Man Battle Royale is pretty sick, he did great on that.
