I'm designing a high-tech "global theme", what do you think?

I'm totally not being rude here but if anyone is sore about a project being dropped by the original poster don't get upset just make your own. There's nothing stopping you. If your worried about ripping off someone else's work ie reverse engineering it, don't be. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be upset if you finished something for them. Just credit them and move on.

I had a great idea for main menu themes last night and I'm going to have a stab at them today (still raining outside, therefore no cab building today). Don't get your hopes up though because like most projects they seem to lose momentum and go unfinished. It's not something to get angry about, we all have fun while they last.

Thanks to everyone that is working on these global themes and thanks to everyone that comments here and on the other global/ alternate theme threads. I'm only new here but I think that creativity should be encouraged on projects like these and I'd like to see more of it.

Just have to say that I have tried to make global themes and plenty of them. I've requested ideas and feedback. I've been wanting to have @ least one thread where people come together and make one great collaborative global theme. I tried that. My work may not look the best but I am still trying. I started a thread about main menu design but it's stagnate. I made a little theme called Home & requested feedback with not one single response from it. I put it in my folder to be uploaded and stated where it was. Instead of just downloading other people's hard work I have tried to give back something to this community. I know there's people out there that would love to have something global, so why don't they just get together and create something? I would love to be on-board for a global theme, but seems as though the ones who want it are just waiting to download it. I could be wrong, but just read.

No I know you have a good point. I downloaded your folder that said global days ago but didn't know how to set it up. You have an entire global theme background named pointer. I did like the metallic look in the artwork though. I just realized now after reading this I had the wrong folder, just loaded your home folder now. I like it but the background that says hyperspin should change, maybe have a pic of the console or something to that effect. Give yourself some credit I don't think your work is bad. What would the actual game wheel look like?

Really like that last theme Azzbarb. If you could center the video box just above the center of the screen it would look more like some kinda video display hole. I looks like a 3D globe circuit board which is pretty awesome. Just take out enough pieces in the middle the same size you have it. Also the PS2 logo should be like this

Everything I state should be taken as its just my opinion.

Sorry for not being active here lately, I just relocated and the moving is taking some time.

I'll work on creating you guys an even better theme sometime soon.

(This theme was my first attempt and I didn't really know what was possible with HyperTheme - I was really just getting my feet wet)

I have extensive 3D experience (Zbrush + 3ds max) and also a lot of Vector Experience.

Sorry again.... I just have many projects running in my life simultaneously. I apologize.

I'll upload the theme in it's current state soon, then you guys can mess with it/add logo's for all the other systems.

Hyperspin was put on the backburner for a while because I can't download many wheelart/coverart/etc because the site limits me, and it just takes too damn long to download without FTP access, which I don't have money for right now.

Just uploaded a copy of Azzbarb's industrial theme psd in my folder. I think his was wiped out in the ftp incident.

What FTP incident? I noticed the Global Theme that I had was wiped out as well. I reposted it but it was strange. What happened there?

Weird though... my global theme was in my folder.

Anyway, as has been suggested, there should be a Global Theme section for threads as well as a download section on the FTP so it's all in one place.

Part of the ftp content was salvaged from an old backup, still a lot of stuff was lost and couldn't be recovered.

I'm Back! I'm getting back into Hyperspin and setting everything up properly now.

I'm going to create a new, better theme this time... really gonna push the envelope this time.

I'm really sorry I didn't finish this, Hyperspin kinda fell off the radar for me due to no updates/etc... well, I'm getting back into the scene anyway and doing this.

Got a 51" Samsung plasma with a PC + 2 x XBOX 360 Controllers,where Hyperspin will run (No arcade..I'm not really a DIY person). almost all systems and emulators are running.

I've figured everything out (HyperLaunch really got complicated,lol, but I got it now) and really want to go extreme this time (Yet still, classy)

I know most of you will think nothing will come of this, but I want to create the most ultimate setup ever.

If I can get Heperspin FTP access, I will release it to everyone... maybe the guys here at Hyperspin can sponsor me a gold account for my work? or somebody rich that will really want this theme on their system?

(I kinda need the Covers/Movies/etc)

I'm still setting everything up, but will start with this very soon... just hold tight!

Unfortunately not... I'm going to make a new theme but it will be better.

What resolution should I make the theme? what's the most common res?

Looks really cool, lets see what we can do about that Goldmembership. make this theme happen and it will get sorted. love to see what you will add extra. ill keep my eye on this thread, and definitly PSD's, than we can alter it to be used for vertical wheel or the round standard wheel, so people will have a choice. or you can make the vertical and round wheel oriented ones too would be easy to do with that pattern
