I've only had a quick go with 1.06 but already I love it.

The thing that always annoyed me about exiting a game was background windows popping up in front of Hyperspin, hopefully that's a thing of the past. Now when I close it all, the explorer windows pop right back up :) it's the little things.

Analogue controls work, I think roulette works by pressing "Y" on the 360 pad, it's all good.

I also thought there might be more setup involved and was worried I hadn't done enough, but knew I could go back to 1.05. No, I must have changed 2 or 3 lines in the ini and that's all.

Thank you Ghutch, well done. :cheers:

[Volume_Menu]

Volume_Menu_Key=~2

[Volume_Menu]

Volume_Menu_Key is the compatible autohotkey key name for the key or two key combo used to open/close the volume bar. Modifier Symbols are accepted. There is already built in support for this for joysticks.

Noob question here and probably more of an AutoHotKey one at that, but how does the key mapping bit work ? What does ~2 mean ?

I think it means hotkey fires on being pressed rather than on being released.

Check this Link out - Modifier Symbols

Sorry, I'm still lost with it. Saw that link before also.

When the hotkey fires, its key's native function will not be blocked (hidden from the system).

I don't see where the 'hotkey is defined' ? I just assumed that those ini file sections (Roulette/Volume/QuickLaunch) had it all defined there - maybe they do :embarassed:

Volume_Menu_Key=~2

Its not as simple as 'numeric 2' to activate the volume menu bar is it ? (coz I tried that :()

Great, thanks for clearing that up.

I thought that '2' was the key, but as nothing happened when I was pressing it, I started to think that there may be more to it. I do like the clean switching b/w game and back to the wheel.

Any suggestions on where to I start looking at why the 'volume menu' did not show? Currently I have my HS configured for only the MAME wheel,.. StartScript starts HS ==> HS intro ==> MAME wheel.

HS should start the startupscript.

Check and see if the script is running in the background.

Apologies, must have skipped over that part of 'getting it going'.

Mostly working now, my only quirk is upon first start behaviour is that HS has no focus, I have to alt-tab back to itself and then it all behaves. If I remove it from HS startup scripts then HS starts with focus and behaves but obviously I have none of the extras that the script brings.

Did you skip over any other parts?

Go as slow as a Giant Galapagos Tortoise on land.

Tortoise is back, found nothing more though.

My focus issue seems to be linked to whether the 'intro video',.... I had it disabled and consistently had the focus issue. After enabling it, all now seems to be ok.

So you are using hyperspin to start the script and not the other way around right?

Yes, HS to start the script and I launch HS.exe,.. I had temporarily disabled the 'intro video' and left it like that and started to introduce this 'startup script'. Straight after re-enabling it, all now seems to be working as expected.

As the intro video has been mentioned, I remembered an issue I had recently (and this was probably on version 1.05) where switching off the intro video was causing me to have no control over Hyperspin. So i had to enabled it to get control back.
