OK v1.05 seems to work fine for me. When I tried to use v1.06 it loads my hyperspin profile and everything but it just hangs there until I click away with my mouse and click back on hyperspin, and only then I'm able to use my 360 controller to navigate in HS. Anybody knows why is this happening?

HI,

This script looks awesome - just what I needed.

But, my Avast virus scanner says there is malware embedded in this file. Win32: Malware-gen .

Can you please recheck the .zip you have kindly put into the start(page 1) and verify all is well with the .exe?

Sorry to both you with this Ghutch :)

Your antivius is just acting paranoid. Here are the results from virustotal.com which is a website that will scan your file using the majority of the popular antivirus detection programs.

I was finally able to reproduce the hanging thing on my end. Look for a fix in the next version I upload.

Just did some preliminary testing and can confirm this works with the cheap-o Zero Delay Encoder board. Here is the mapping for that PCB board:

Button 1: Enter

Button 2: Esc

Button 3: Genre

Button 4: Roulette

Button 5: Skip up

Button 6: Skip down

Nice work ghutch92!

EDIT: No Favorites button for buttons 1-8.

Any chance you can switch the functionality between the 'Roulette' and 'Favorites' button in the next release? Doesn't seem like the 'Favorites' button is mapped for buttons 1-8 on my controller board and the 'Favorites' function is more important than the 'Roulette' function. I could possibly find to which of the remaining spare connections 'Favorites' is mapped to and connect a button to that but doing so would mean remapping my emulators. Function mapping in the ini file would be the ideal state, but of course that would be much more involved to implement and add weight to the script.

Awesome job none the less sir. Thanks again!

Actually, I have buttons attached to connections 1-6, 9, and 10 on the Zero Delay Rematch board (this board works with a PC and PS3). Buttons 9 and 10 correspond to Start and Select for the PS3 on this board. I don't have button 7 connected at all. Your mappings are fine as is even if it is a slight complication for me. IMO, the Favorites button has more value for HyperSpin navigation than the Roulette button, so having Favorites at 4, rather than 7 is preferred. Thanks for that. Ideal state somewhere down the road, if at all, would allow for button function mapping; might allow for more controller compatibility as well.

But just wanted you to know, your current mappings are good as is.

Was playing SF2 and got knocked dizzy. Began button mashing to wake from the dizziness when I encountered this message:

"71 hotkeys have been received in the last 714ms.

Do you want to continue?

(see #MaxHotkeysPerInput in the help file)

YES/NO"

Focus switched to the HyperSpin FE, I selected enter at the prompt, then had to ALT+Tab to get back to MAME. Anyway to disable this? From time to time button mashing is going to be required for playing games.

BTW, I can confirm this works perfectly with these controller boards:

-Zero Delay Encoder

-Zero Delay Rematch/PS3 Encoder

-Akishops Custom PS360+

Interesting bug. Easy fix. So to get this error in the next versions you will need to have 6 people pressing buttons at a rate of 20 times per second. If you can do this please contact the book of world records.

Much thanks for this again Ghutch and may I say what an amazing Icon you have there ;)

Im having an issue though. Not sure if you have read my post about WiiMotes but its causing me some major issues :(

More detail is in the Gold section ref this. But in short, when I enable a WiiMote, I can play for example Wii. However once I exit the Wmu and return back to Hs my controls for the 360 go mental, as if I have no configuration. It also makes me loose focus of my KB too if I exit HS and reload it. I have to click the mouse to enable key support.

The only way to get around this is to restart my entire system.

Do you think there is anything that can be done to cure this? I do not want to loose the function of your program.. but also dont want to loose the function of the WiiMotes for my games.

Sorry to be a pain

There is nothing I can do on my end until I get some wiimotes to test with. Try turning the wii motes off before you return to hyperspin see if this helps.

I had similar troubles, with the wheel going crazy, but worse was the CPU cycles startup is using, with or without the wiimote connected.

See how the cpu does when hyperspin is not the active window. That's when it really matters.

The y axis controls the wheel spin. When it is neutral or 50% of the way no spin occurs. If it at 0% spin down occurs If it is at 100% spin up occurs. You may want to see what is going on in the control panel gamepad configuration properties (joy.cpl).

Thanks ghutch, your correct about Hyperspin being active, the activity does drop when not in focus.

Anyway I found I have some serious issues with my PC :( Temps are at 70 degrees at idle and it's throttling back at load, so a bit of a strip down is required.

Apologies if I've confused things mentioning the startup app was using lots of cpu cycles.

Hi all. Just set up this lovely script (with lots of help from this video ). Am I getting the same fault as others here? Hyperspin starts up, I have no control from either the stick or the keyboard. I have to either Alt-Tab or Windows Key out and back ( yeah, I'm on Windows 8 :dong:). After that, it's fine.

Anyway, entirely probable that it's me - usually is. Here's my script setup.

You have Joystick_Enabled set to false in your example. Meaning joysticks are off. The click back issue is because this was tested on my fast computer and not the slow one. The slow one I have has the same no active issue alt-tab as you describe. Some people find it helps enabling the intro video. In the meantime you will need to wait for the next version.
