Yes, I know but this message only pops up when I start HyperSearch from your script.

This is what I did:

- I did a clean boot.

- Made sure no process of HyperSearch was running.

- Then launch HS Startup with only 1 Taget. (like below)

Program_To_Run_Target_1=HyperSearch.exe
Program_To_Run_Working_Dir_1=z:\HYPERSPIN\HyperSearch\
Program_To_Run_MaxMinHide_1=
Process_Name_To_Close_1=

please make a quick test. Backup your ini file and add only one Target_1 for HyperSearch.

Then launch your script. You should get the same error.

ghutch92 you're great man thanks! I completely fubar'd my install, that I had running great, when I tried to upgrade to HL 3 and use xpadder (due to having disconnect issues w 360 wireless controllers). Using your fresh install tutorial has been a god send. I'm not done getting things running yet, but I've got HyperSpin loading well now and using xpadder. Next to get the emulators working w dif profiles in xpadder.

I just wanted to let ppl know, and maybe you'll add to your OP, that if you have UAC active in Win7 that you might black screen when you run HyperSpin because the StartUp script tries to load other software, such as xpadder, it might trigger a UAC verification.

You might want to disable UAC. I don't know if there is an alternate solution, but this was mine.

The path to HL is correct and I have Keymapper set to true but it doesn't do anything even when executing it outside of HS it just shows the AHK icon in the tray for a split sec then disappears lol. Any ideas?

Sorry, Im not to good with the Xpadder thing. When I set this up and run it, I am getting this error:

post-90333-142870629421_thumb.png

Here is my Startup script:

[settings]
HyperLaunch_Path=P:\Hyperspin Project - The Frontend
Hide_Cursor=false
Hide_Taskbar=false
[Keymapper]
Keymapper=xpadder
Keymapper_Enabled=true
keymapperAhkExternalEnabled=false
[Programs]
Minimize_Background_Windows_Enabled=false
Window_Classes_To_Not_Minimize=Shell_TrayWnd,Button
Program_To_Run_Target_1=button_on_360_guide.exe
Program_To_Run_Working_Dir_1=
Program_To_Run_MaxMinHide_1=Hide
Process_Name_To_Close_1=

It says it cant read or write it? If I load Xpadder without the startup script it runs fine but even though the profile is loaded it will not action anything within Hyperspin?

Anyone have any ideas?

SOLVED!!

Seems that the program I was running with it does something with the Xpadder Profiles. It loads Xpadder but it takes over a min before it comes responsive. It also does the same when you change the profile. Example if you switch between games/systems.

The program was there to enable the Microsoft button in the center. This was my ESC button for leaving games. Seems I will just have to map out a new button For the Exits.

Anyways, left this post up in case anyone else runs into the same issues.

Great little script though. Many thanks for the contribution on this, made my life much easy.

Now if only I could find a way to exit Xpadder on EXIT??

My directory for HyperSearch is correct etc but I keep getting the infamous 302 line error. Even though I get that error HyperSearch still loads up as it should lol. Also for some reason even though Keymapper is enabled in the ini it seems to not do anything.

---------------------------

HS Startup.exe

This is a great idea, but what I did was use hyperlaunch to launch hyperspin... I mean I create a module and system called HSlauncher that launches hyperspin and then closes HL immediately. Leaving Hyperspin open and the Hyperspin ketmapper profiles loaded.

Just create a script,that calls 'hyperlaunch hslaincher hslaincher'

Hey guys... Great script however I have hit an issue with it on Windows 8.

Whenever Hyperspin starts my joysticks/keyboard won't work until I focus out and then back into the hyperspin window.

I tested Fullscreen and also windowed mode and I noticed the same thing. If I start Hyperspin directly then its all good. The main reason for using your script would be to get xpadder started..

For some reason starting HS with your script prevents it from receiving any input from the joystick or even from the KEYBOARD!

I dunno what else to try.. any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

When I try using this script, xpadder launches with the correct profile, but I can't use any keys within HyperSpin, including keyboard navigation. I am forced to Alt + F4 out of HyperSpin.

[settings]
HyperLaunch_Path=J:\HyperSpin\HyperLaunch
Hide_Cursor=false
Hide_Taskbar=false
[Keymapper]
Keymapper=xpadder
Keymapper_Enabled=true
keymapperAhkExternalEnabled=false
[Programs]
Minimize_Background_Windows_Enabled=false
Window_Classes_To_Not_Minimize=Shell_TrayWnd,Button
Program_To_Run_Target_1=
Program_To_Run_Working_Dir_1=
Program_To_Run_MaxMinHide_1=
Process_Name_To_Close_1=

I've confirmed my paths are correct, and my xpadder profile is located in J:\HyperSpin\HyperLaunch\Profiles\Xpadder\HyperSpin.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Fixed! I followed the instructions in this post and everything worked perfectly. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?11809-Run-and-close-Xpadder-with-HyperSpin&p=324682&viewfull=1#post324682

As a follow-up question, how can I close Xpadder when I close HyperSpin? I tried searching on the forums and it seems like a batch file is the best solution, but there's mixed responses to whether that works or not, and I couldn't find a script to use.

Can you make it close any instances of HyperSpin already running? Kinda surprised HyperSpin doesn't already do this.

Every now and then, HyperSpin doesn't close down properly (usually when I'm trying to set up a new system or change something). Then you try to start it and nothing happens. Would be a user friendly feature in case someone else besides me is playing.

I'd like to auto start 2 programs when hyperspin opens, I'd like hypersearch and xpadder. Currently I have hypersearch open upon hyperspin start which works great. How can I add xpadder too? Seems like in hyper hq you can only select one program

Posted (edited)

Thanks brolly, only thing is I'm already auto starting hypersearch upon hyperspin start. Am I able to continue running hypersearch plus xpadder? It seems like I can only do one or the other--- I think the answer is you can open many programs after reading it a third time :-)

One more question.... What's this mean in the ahk?

Process_Name_To_Close_1 is the name of the process you wish to close.

Does that mean if I have a batch file to close an app I just include that file path?

Also I could only get xpadder to open if I said xpadder = false and provided a path

I'd like to run hypersearch upon loading hyperspin, this does that but the fav feature doesnt run for me unless I go into run as admin. The file is set to run as admin but I never get the uac notice to run as admin. I'm guessing the script her bypasses it. Is there a work around to run hypersearch from this script and force admin permissions

@ninja2bceen

HyperSearch questions are better asked in the hypersearch thread not the hyperspin startup script thread. I also wish I knew how UAC decides to work. Process_Name_To_Close_1 is just that, the name of the process you would like to close. It's simply the names that show up in the processes tab in task manager for Windows 7 and below and the details tab in Windows 8.
