Hey guys! I Got hyperspin, MAME, and HyperlaunchHQ all set up and working! Fairly quickly thanks to a guide i found. I am just having one game breaking issue with the controls. I am using all the latest versions of each and i am using an X arcade control stick. I also have disabled all hot keys and shift sticky. My problem is as followed 1- I load up hyperspin 2- Choose the game i want and hit enter(both keyboard and joystick work) 3- Loads game and i can play fine 4- BUT A Certain button combination on the Player 2 side, I can't figure it out what exactly, exits out of MAME and minimizes it and sends me back to the hyperspin menu wheel 5- I can …

Hi Guys, Weird problem when entering a system wheel... The first game video plays fine. The rest do not appear at all and I can see the theme background filling the video position. Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this??? Thanks!

I'm running Final Burn Alpha in my cabinet because of the video options it has. It is only operating CPS1, 2 and 3 roms. Is there anybody out there that has an XML file consisting of CPS1,2,3. I used to have it but I lost it and can't find it because it used to be on mega upload. Thanks

I am getting every time I try to run Hyperspin.exe or HyperHQ.exe. "C:\Users\Home\Desktop\Hyperspin\MSVBVM60.DLL is either ot designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support." I am running Windows 7 64-bit. This appears to be a VBruntime error, so I have made sure the VB runtimes are up to date, and I've also put the relevant dll file in the Hyperspin directory. I've also run sfc but it reports no errors. Please help!

Hi I'm having an issue using Demul to load Sega Naomi roms, every time I load the rom I get a idirectinput8 create effect failed error I then Iclick ok on the error and it loads the game, but secondly I can't find a single way to make my steering wheel work on demul and can't seem to find any kind of guide for it online please help me out would love crazy taxi and other games for my cab

Hey I have a problem with visual pinball in hyperpsin. When i select a table it plays fine. But when i close the table and want to select a new table i get this error: there was an error waiting for the window ahk_class to become active Also hyperlaunch doesn't close it will be active in the taskbar. Can anyone help me?

Hello, everytime i want to start MAME i get this error: Cannot find C:\_HyperSpin\Databases\MAME\MAME.xml I dont know why its Pointing to C: , i have installed everything in G: like this "G:\_Hyperspin" and here is where my xml are stored G:\Hyperspin\Databases\MAME Do you have any idea what could be wrong with my setup or how to point it to the right Databases?

Hi everyone , I'm following this guide http://gameroomsolutions.com/setup-hyperspin-mame-hyperlaunch-full-guide/#comment-1280 . I think the problem is that the guide is for windows 64 bit, while I'm using windows 7 32 bit, and mameUI32 . When i try to create the ini file writing "mame64 -cc" ,i've this error "mame64-cc"is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file". Can you help me please?

For some reason, after I installed OpenBOR following all isntructions in the readme, I had to turn off fade. Is that uncommon? With Fade on, I got the attached error edit: Not just OpenBOR apparently. All systems. So global settings somewhere.

From time to time, I have the problem that sometimes MAME loses its focus and HyperSpin comes to the front. I can ALT+TAB again to MAME and everything works again. Is this a well known bug? Is something wrong with hyperlaunch or hyperspin?

FIrst of all, thank you for all the Platinum members for constant support of our newbies questions... I'll try to synth my problems. I've THT Arcade USB 2 PLAYERS module on my cabinet, perfectly recognized with Windows 7. I want to start controlling the hyperspin wheel and menus. I've done a profile, and using start up script, I can load it, and when hyperspin loads, I can use the assigments correctly. Now, when I load, for example, ATARI 2600, I've setup a profile with no key assigments on my HyperLaunchHQ, and it loads perfectly. I can play to all my VCS 2600 games (not all of them... Hey guys, I'm having issues setting up Pinball FX2. Can someone point me to a thread covering the install or tell me how-to? I'm almost thinking I have a bad .exe for it or something. I've watched Giga's vid and understand it, but I'm missing the part on where to pull my files from. I have yet to setup any PC Games or Steam type systems, so I'm wondering is this similar? I.E. creating the XML and such. Thanks!

Hello, I recently upgraded my mame to mame version 1.59. I am aware of the name change for roms(not sure what version it was implemented). There are some games such as Pacman that a few variants will show up in MAMEUI32.exe, but don't show up in Hyperspin or HyperlaunchHQ. I'm thinking it may have to do with the rom name changes and possibly the XML file I made in HLHQ for MAME. ...but not sure. The original jap 'Puckman' does show up in HS, btw. I'm using Don's Hyperlist Generator and when I select MAME for the wheel and put in the MAME.xml from hyperlist, it gives the generate button and I can hit that then scan and then of course filter for duplicates etc... when I try NES for example, using the NES xml downloaded from here, or any other system aside from MAME, it doesn't give that generate button, only the scan button. When I hit scan, it doesn't let me filter what I want. For example, if I select YES for GAME, the list gets emptied.

Was wondering(probably missing something really easy) if you can map a separate key or macro to exit Hyperspin (i.e. to desktop) and still use Escape key to exit games and systems in HyperSpin (but not exit Hyperspin) Is this possible? Thomas

I recently had my hard drive crash and had to start from scratch on rebuilding my box. :/ It seems that some things have changed and I am at a loss trying to remember how to set up the menu displays. I have boxart in the artwork2 folder, and I've tried 1,3, and 4 for the cartridge art, but nothing happens. Where am I going wrong?
