haimbilia Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 usually i make these as clear plastic or "glass" but sub-zero said i should also make them normal for you guys: so here it is.... http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/10944-cartridges-templates-psd/ there is a layer called template the art should be above that layer and clipped (ctrl+g). if you want the glass variant check out my deviantart gallery: http://blinkybill.deviantart.com/
32assassin Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 very nice, are you willing to take requests? I rebuilt the Atari Lynx labels and pasted them on a generic looking cart http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/10262-atari-lynx-carts/ it would be nice to have a template that is more authentic looking or in 3D view.
32assassin Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 thanks for the offer I scrolled through your deviantart gallery and found the Lynx template. I must say nice work, if I was not such a big fan of the 3d box/carts, I would probably redo all my carts with every single one of your templates. will be posting version 2 in a few days Adobe --> script --> done if a few minutes.
haimbilia Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 use this one it looks better: link i have the droplet ready for this if you want i can make it in a few minutes..
dougan78 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Now this is a rather cool idea. I like what you have. Can you make a doublesided disk, the 5.25 floppy one that could be used for multi-disk games. You know notches on both sides. That would denoted a multi disk game if you just had 1 on your wheel. Then one could put a marker/penn font underneath your layers possibly for games names and batch a set for say....well yeah I am a c64 guy so c64. No one bought games anyway we just traded and copied stuff. So you could use those as place holders until real ones were made. Like wise with your tape template. Nice job. Thanks for your hard work.
damageinc86 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Woah, these are the only fake cartridges i'd sport in my setup. I prefer actual photos of cartridges as a template, but damn,...you went all out on this one. VERY NICE. especially the floppies! Those could be nice for the MS-DOS system.

Thanks for your hard work. sure, i added it to the pack, if we going to write the names on the labels i think it's best to make variations of labels and change the disk color so it will not all look the same, i hate it when the entire wheel look the same. i will start making some labels.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Really nice these mate. Love the feel of them I love what has been going on with the ZX Spectrum 3D art but I know that there are only so many games that have spine art. This means that not many of these can be made using 3D box art. However, can you do something nice with a Tape Case? I did something much similar for the C64 tapes, but these look real nice. They have both Vert and Horizontal cases Great work btw! Simply Austin's YouTube
damageinc86 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Yeah there were a lot of games with different colored floppies, great idea.
Styphelus Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 They don't look realistic. Don't think i would use them.

SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 They need to look good with no spine mate. thats the issue why we cant go 3D, we have no spines to make the set complete Simply Austin's YouTube
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Yeah! Thats more like it.. but maybe not as open so we can see the cover in more detail... sorry mate, I am just being a picky knob now Simply Austin's YouTube
