ryuuji Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 So sad there are not many 3d modeler on HS forum, I think a set of good quality free-to-use for personal project 3d consoles and joypad would be useful. How is the situation with logos? I have a decent collection of them (some comes from brands of the world website, some are personal re-trace), they have been used in Aeon Nox XIII so some additional work on layer's style is needed as they are B/W. Another good idea wold be a vector collection of developer/manufacturer logos... yeah I always wished that those console 3D renders would have been available for free )) ... but let's admit it it is alot of work to create a 3D model and render it so it is normal that they are not for free. #thisismydesign by ryuuji is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. Already checked that, sketchup models are basically unusable: low poly and lots of texture details making close-up not viable. Here's how my sgx appear in terms of mesh (raw polygons). I took some "shortcuts" to speed up modelling but it's 100% made of polygons (also logos... faster than UVW unwrapping lol). On sketchup warehouse you can find only lowpoly like this https://sketchfab.com/models/f2c33b268270498fbdb48dcc4752f13b , good for real time but too low poly for HD close up rendering.
