The static 16:9 themes do not have cart/boxart layers 3 and 4 set. I guess this is intentional as the Delux version does have the layers set correctly. So there will be a static version with wheel on the right and another version for outfading wheel and box/cartart displayed instead like in the 4:3 versions from gib?

I don't have access to HyperSync, so I didn't have any artwork to work with when doing the system themes. I have some art that I manually grabbed from VSS, but only box sets for the systems on my setup. I figured it'd be best to leave it out, rather than halfass it by guessing where the artwork would fit. Plus I figured most people are going to tweak it a bit to match their gathered/preferred artwork anyway.

Yeah let me rephrase that:

Its good that you didn't include the artwork layers in the Static HD set. Because there will be as many ppl wanting to use it without art at all so that the wheel can stay fully visible (as discussed before). And the other half of the ppl who do want to use artworks will probably end up in using many different sets with diff. sizes and such so it wouldnt make sense to pre-set it. You did a good job because now everybody can choose how to use the "extra space" provided with 16:9 themselves.

Having artwork set in a theme doesn't really affect anything in terms of people wanting artwork or not.

If artwork is included in the theme, it will only show if people place artwork in their folders. If they don't want artwork to show, they just don't put anything in their folder.

As for different sizes of artwork I assume the problem would be size affecting placement.. I never had an issue with placement. I have had problems with the size of the artwork but once the artwork had been resized, I never had to change anything in the theme itself.

Any chance anybody has the background psd for NES in 1920x1080 that hasn't already been flattened? I'm looking for the tiled seals without the gradient background. All the psd files on the ftp I've found have been flattened, except one which is 1280x720. I want to darken the background a bit and add a little of that golden brown color that was in the original seal, for a more authentic 80s NES feel. I tried to tile the 1280x720 one, and I just couldn't get it right. My gimp skills are pretty terrible.

Nevermind, that is the one you've already found. Sorry to say, but I don't believe there is one in a higher resolution. That one is the source.

Ejfriis, check out the psd I just uploaded to my ftp directory. It seems to have all the layers intact.

Thanks, but that is also the 1280x720 version. I realized today that the seal layer in that file actually is larger than the image anyways, so I was able to work off of that.

I guess none of it matter anyways, because anything after 1024x768 is dropped, so those extra pixels I was after were for nothing. Oh well, live and learn. :)

Not exactly. If you use gibbawho's method of exporting through Flash, then the extra resolution will provide different results. Though the question is still up in the air on whether this provides an overall benefit. It seems, depending on your setup, will determine if things look better or worse.

Some of the wheel images seem to be corrupted on the FTP. Atari 2600 and Sega Saturn are the ones I noticed. I you look at their thumbnails, the images are getting clipped.

Hi, bro! I can't check your theme on the FTP but it's looks great, My computer is down :( ,but i was talking about nes gibbawho new background. Actually i have 3 missing animated background to have a fullset. pc engine, ps2 & this starnight nes background. ^^If you have the time to make them it could be perfectly. Thanks bro.

Just got a brain wave for those starry nights, I could take the background, copy it.. flipt it and have it fade in and out so you get that starry twinkeling effect. I wonder how that will turn it.. will check that tonight.

PC engine is done by the way.. PS2 is not.. and that starry night could be next

how do i set up the bezels from the megatheme pack?

i place bezel folders in HyperLaunch\Media\Bezels and the ahk file in the corresponding module folder however when i run a game i get an error about BezelGUI()

can anyone help or point me to some guides on bezels, fade and ahk code

advice is much Appreciated!
