Is it amyfever's flyers pack or another one? If it is not amyfever's one it would be helpful, they seems more polished. I'm making a flyers "wheel" for mame recreating missing flyers but it will take ages and will be released after aeon nox13 theme (you can finda some examples in Upload Here/dark13/MAME Flyerset/. Maybe they can work as mame wheel for the moment if it's a complete set :D

I really don't know Dark (Don't remember where I get it), but my flyer pack are approximately ~3000 images, I put a folder with your name in my folder on the FTP, Check it out.

Saludos!

I went ahead and uploaded all of my box/flyer art that fit my themes to my folder on the FTP. I uploaded my wheels too; most are just from the official sets, but I did make a few of my own for games or systems that I couldn't find official wheels for. I just search Google for transparent game logos and resize and crop them. And magic wand out the background (and do my best to erase the crap left over) if I can't find a logo with transparency. So I don't really think they meet the quality standards for official wheels, but they work well enough until better ones are made.

Awakened I like the simplicity of your themes in the video you posted. Most of the themes out there just have too much going on for me, and some of them almost cover up the entire video with moving characters and stuff. I'm like, damn, I want to see the gameplay lol.

Yeah, I think they came out pretty good for what I was going for. Using gibbawho's unified background and logo art really brought up the quality too.

I made a new video trying to show off the crt-royale shader and the Saturn and PSP sections I made after the last video, but Youtube's bitrate hurt the motion quality. I think the meshlike look of the shader is the problem, since I've seen videos of Dark Souls II in an area with spider webs that had similar quality issues. It still looks OK in areas without much motion and with the few systems I don't use a shader with though:

Well, The Unified Mega Theme Extended or whatever he was going to do. There was supposed to be wide format with out static background, artwork, carts and the whole shabang. Did I miss all of that while away?

The static set was finished awhile ago, though it looks like most of them were deleted from the Unified Mega Theme directory (~/Unified Mega Theme/Themes/16x9 HD - Static) for whatever reason. I'll re-upload them later tonight, but in the meantime you can grab them from my folder. However the system themes are missing placeholders for any box/cart art, so you'll need to add them. I had a text file explaining why, but that seems to have been deleted as well (seriously, what the hell?!). Basically, I couldn't be bothered to find the best box/cart sets for each systems, and I figured most would reconfigure them for their own artwork sets anyway.

As for gibbawho, I'm sure he will come back at some point to continue his work on the Extended set, however I don't recall him ever mentioning plans to create any other art beyond the themes. The community has done an amazing job in branching the themes out though (see signature).

EDIT:

Nevermind, I think I misread your post. You are strictly referring to the Extended set and not the original static set, correct? Though I still don't believe he ever had plans for any additional art outside the themes, the Extended project was more-so for polishing the existing themes and adding more artwork/flash options within the theme. Anyway, you can find the thread for that here, though the discussion has died down a lot in gibbawho's absence. I don't think anyone has really worked on converting the stuff he has put up for it yet (hope that didn't discourage him). He's been on hiatus before, so I'm guessing he has just been busy with other things.

I'm a new Hyperspin user - so glad to find this Unified Mega Theme early into my install... looks so much better than the default!

Having trouble with the Atari 2600 main menu wheel image. When I download it from the FTP (Wheels/!System Wheels/Arari 2600.png) it is cutting off the bottom... and thus, not showing up in my main menu. Maybe it didn't upload completely? Can someone point me to a full PNG? Thanks!

So how do we go about adding placeholders for the static themes, as you said the text file is no longer there?

You need to use hypertheme. Open the theme in hypertheme and import the artwork. On the left side check the box "don't include in outut".

It's going to be a bit of work because you need to resize your artwork first and than import it and because artwork varies in size and shape from system to system, they are all going to be different.

Plus you will go nuts trying to find artwork for every single system. That is why it was eventually taken out (at least that's why I took it out from my themes)

OK, glad you said this. So there was never any placeholders added in for the boxart. Not a big deal, just wasn't sure if I grabbed an older set of the themes.

Looks like there is a problem with the video border in the default.zips As well. The black from the video screen is covering up the emumovies, looks like all the default themes will need to be imported into HT and correct video display added as well.

Not sure about the video border. Try the ones on my FTP folder. I create mine at 1920x1080. Unknown created his set with a much higher resolution. I have a new set with bigawho's latest video borders but I never uploaded it.

Could you tell me how to do the maths for this, maths is never my strong point at the best of times. So say I had a .png at 475x335 at 4:3 what would it be at 16x9 and how would I do the calculation?

Sorry to be such a noob guys but could somebody tell me how to add these themes to Hyperspin. I mean which files go in which folders in my Hyperspin directory? Thanks to everyone for the work that's obviously gone into these.

Through my trawling of the ftp I have found there seem to be more systems with 16x9 themes. Is it ok to use these on a 1024x768 (4x3) desktop resolution?

Im using this resolution on my 55" plasma and I find they look fine (perhaps the video is a little squarer though?

No, you can't use a 16:9 theme on a 4:3. If you do everything will be crunched up.

Ok thanks Styphelus. So for an amateur like myself that has zero experience in photoshop whats the best way of resizing things. Can I just resize the images from the zip and just zip them back up? Or use hyper theme to ensure placement of all the items is correct? It's only for a few themes missing in the 4/3 ratio unless there is a complete set somewhere?

There's no complete set. I started doing it in 4:3 but never liked the strech so when bigawho came up with the widescreen swf technique I switched to 16:9.

To get themes in 4:3 you just need to resize the background and chop of the sides and maybe maybe make all the graphics a bit smaller so they fit a 1024x768 window and import everything to hypertheme.

Thanks guys.

Yes I have seen awakened themes. They are great. I think there are a couple still missing that I need.

I'll be in touch with him if I have no luck with doing them myself....

Mine are still up there in my folder on the FTP. I've modified them with my own preferences so they don't look the same as they do in the op though. I uploaded a few videos showing them off; the latest is

. I put timestamps in the description you can click on to quickly jump between systems.
