Could you not spend more than half your video bashing our partner site? If you don't agree with their or our policies and want to do your own, please do, but please communicate about it in a bit more respectful manner.

 

More sources for artwork is never a bad thing. I wish you well on your endeavor, but things like this video will get you banned from our nice 'commercial site'

All you need is ads on your site and that will pay for bandwidth. I don't see other sites charging to download roms so why do we have to pay for videos??? Emumovies asks you to donate so much before they allow you to download from there ftp yeah you can download so much from the site but it takes forever.

MAME is the emulator.... the roms are hosted via torrent. Yes they're free, but when you download them from websites, you can only download 1 at a time. If anybody were to host these as a pack on their site, you'll definitely have to pay for access the back. If it irritates you and you make good vids and share them for free, that's a win for everyone. I hope for you're sake whenever you'll get to multiple systems, you won't run into any cost regarding server rent and bandwidth that needs to be compensated to not turn into a hypocrite.

Ads... Yeah hands up who uses these https://getadblock.com/ ??? ads don't work and the few cents you get from them only adds up when you have a huge amount of traffic. I've been there done that it don't work unless you are selling porn or you use underhanded techniques to force the adverts onto the user such as warez guys. 

 

If you took the time to read the Emu Movies site you would have worked out that you can get access to them for free if you are a video creator. The man hours it takes to create them is huge so every bit helps.

 

Mame is free. But to use the roms for mame you have to own the hardware. So tell me how many Arcade boards do you own?

I've got quite a few. Mostly multi boards but a few collectors items. Therefore I can legally have those roms. The rest .... well legally I can't. So if people charged for access to roms that would be illegal also. Love technicalities. Therefore technically again to make a video of these games I would have to have that same hardware so I can have the rom to emulate .... technically. I know it's a grey area and if these games aren't archived we will lose many of them forever so I guess a blind eye is cast but many torrent sites have been taken down over time due to their methods to get paid for hosting that stuff (I know this as again been there done that). Front ends fortunately don't get affected by these laws as much except for copyright law so I'm sure you made an application to the copyright holder to make a derivative work of their games? But I digress.

 

As for the videos I'm happy with my 480p videos and I'm happy to support guys that feed my cravings for more. If you made a site dedicated to hosting videos for every game created in history I'd also happily pay you for access. I made a one off (small) payment many years ago and I'm pretty sure they spent that money long long ago just on the hundreds of gigs of stuff I've downloaded from here over time. 

 

I'm also very happy that you are willing to make higher end videos for people that want them. Good on ya. I applaud your effort. It will take you a few years of pretty heavy work but it is very satisfying. I'm glad there are people like you in the world. Had a guy here a few years ago that tried to do it (elsewhere) and had produced a pretty impressive library and he attempted to sell his work here as he had given up. I hope you don't give up. Keep hammering away and I'm looking forward to seeing how you go.

Also, everything is available for free, just not at the highest quality, which sux arse according to him anyway.

Why do caps think that the games didn't run at 60fps? Almost every arcade game runs at 52hz through 61hz.

 

Only medium res interlaced games ran at 30hz.

Please elaborate? I've had a look at the latest release, and quality has much improved already. Which part(s) do you feel are bad atm?

Jeez, could you maybe do something about your way of formulating your opinion on others and other peoples work?

 

Maybe something like "I'm not impressed with his video quality", "His vids aren't up to my quality standards" or simply "I don't like the low video quality"

 

Instead of "this blows!" like a 12yo throwing a tantrum
