idk im thinking that we should all tag team up on Nintendo Sega Sony

sound's fun lol anything in particular 1st? also just need to work out what xml/s to work from

Posted

i think we should check to see what videos we have and find out whats missing.

That's a capital idea, old chap!

I know there isn't a set for WiiWare, unless they have been recently added at EmuMovies.

I was collecting WiiWare game trailers for the few themes that I made for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think EM accepts packs of game trailers or adverts?

I'm continuing my work in WiiWare wheels today.

(I've added WiiWare links to my signature)

A few days ago I asked if the Nintendo Virtual Boy wheels could be re-uploaded and JayC was kind enough to do so, leaving only the box art missing. I like what you guys are doing and wanted to help out with what I can (sorry, I wish I had the photoshop skills you guys have and the means to help create some awesome artwork too).

Anyways, I dont know if you guys have the box art created or any source material for it so I thought I'd do some googling and see what I can find, its a bit of a mishmash but they are accurate to the best of my knowledge and I hope its useful to you guys.

I'm not twisting anyones arm saying finish this set, just want to help provide some resource material for you guys if you dont have any yet. Keep up the fantastic work.

would any one be interested in chipping in?

i think we should focus on nintendo, sega, sony  consoles and handhelds

and make sure we have a complete, and accurate set of 2D boxes, carts, wheels, and make sure we have all the videos

figuring out what we have and don't have will be a giant leap forward

will give everyone a good idea of what needs done

I am working on trying to figure out what we do have.  Going through the Ftp server as I type.  It is hit or miss though.

if you could figure out what videos we are missing thatd be epic

some of them are labeled differently than the xml so something like hyper detective might say its missing

I don't have any game videos except main menu ones.

If we all pick a system and do that one, I'll take N64 to ease me in and DL what's on emumovies. Will start tonight (Sunday evening)

Edit: As the N64 sheet is empty I will try to fill it out. With everything that's in the downloads

What are the wheel XL used for?

The wheel XLs are just giant versions of the wheels i put them on there cus one of the original spreadsheets for ps1 had it.

correct me if im wrong some one but what im not sure about is boxes and carts and wheels i think they all need to be checked to make sure they are accurate to the originals and not some custom work fill in the gap type of stuff

Thanks Mr. Donkey! Anything helps out a lot, even the guys who are filling in spreadsheets.

Sorted and added scans and cart art for Virtual Boy including Donkey's...is there a new XML for Virtual Boy? There seem to be a lot of games not in the one from HyperBase.

Couldn't see much in the database forum.

I think for clarity right now we are going to have to stick with HyperList xml's

Keep all extra art there is and once we have completed the HyperList stuff then it's a case of updating everything to match new databases once they are confirmed official releases

(I just went through the emumovies FTP for N64 videos and there at many differences across the board.
HyperList has 303 games
EM 240p videos is 332 (inc jap+Proto)
Official development database has 333 games of which about 7 or 8 are different from the videos)

I just don't know how we can get things to match up as we don't have anything set in stone on the database side. Just have to use HyperList and do a best guess for now on the rest.

These are the differences between EmuMovies 240p Videos and Hyperlis for N64

Spreadsheet

My spreadsheet is running strictly off the official databases found on the Databases database.  Here are the systems with 100% videos from sync.  I have not checked emumovies ftp.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1X1pt4iF4q9xUTKU1XdC5WFqG3-hpfzPo95vP2cRkTP0/edit?usp=sharing

I have sorted it by videos (which is the benefit of my sheet) so it should give an indication of what we have.  I will look into emu movies as I have time.

yeah your sheets are great man.

sync just comes off of emumovies videos, i just dont know if the ftp is the same source

either way when the development DB is released it has 333 games so we will be 30 games or so short for all boxart/cart/wheels etc

just not sure how this all gets handeled at the minute

I definitely do not have knowledge anywhere close to Brolly's, however, I was one of the few crazy Europeans that imported this console back in the day, and I always try to put my research in to the databases; so happy to put together a new Virtual Boy database once I finished the Famicom Disk System one.

If no one else already has the information to hand, that is.
