Well I am in the process of scanning my drive to see what I can recover, going to take 27 more hours so I am dead in the water at the moment.  If I can salvage anything I had lots more media.

Do you know if there is much Mega Drive artwork about? I have an old set of about 500 3D boxes I recently tracked down on here.

I have that old set of Megadrive 3D boxes. i also have an old set of Japanese Megadrive 3D boxes. I'll drop them in the vault if that helps. I have a lot I collected over the last few years but it's all very disorganized.

yes here in the UK the genesis was called/known as the mega drive but for ease of my setup i just keep to the hyperspin system names/artworks/roms but some people like the variants in art/differnt name etc... each to their own tho

Thanks I'll try and get some access to the vault at some point. That is the best place to put them I think.

I renamed all the mega drive art to match the HyperList xml. That way everything stays the same and if the full Henesis pack gets updated I just drop in and overwrite the ones I have Mega Drive covers for. Some of the roms may be slightly different but I'm not to fussed and it's to hard to sort that aswell !

Adamg hope your drive recovery goes well. That sounds like a right pain.

Yeah I was thinking of doing a seperate HS setup for pal console variants but then decided not to if I remember correctly tho I think some members have made some PAL xml's just a case of finding them if that's something that interests you mate

Yeah I think it's simpler aswell thats why I decided not to go with the PAL versions well not just yet atleast maybe in the future aswell I also know some people here like to keep the Jap system variants seperate aswell it just comes down to personal preference that's one of the things I like about HS is being able to create/use custom databases if one chooses to.

I just realized what you were doing Alpha... my spreadsheet did all of that.  I just needed to upload them.  The difference between yours and mine now though is that mine has all of the media on HyperSync as well.

The main difference I think is the spreadsheets Alpha was making were made for us to know what media is on HyperVault aswell either way im sure we will find a use for all these spreadsheets we can never have to many lol anyways how is the recovery of your files going mate any luck?

My bad.  

 

Was able to save most of my drive I think.  2 days of recovering and I will know how bad things really are.  Kind of discouraged at the moment.  Learned a valuable lesson though, use the other pc for pi stuff.

Casio PV-2000 is a computer but is listed under consoles on the sheet, should i change it or is there a reason??

 

Also can I color code the missing stuff?

 

Red       = No listing for the system in downloads (No Main Cat)

Orange = No Main Menu Wheel Category

Blue       = No wheel uploaded

My guess would be it was just a mistake when putting the spreadsheet together I would think it's safe for you to change and if it was under that category for a reason we can always change it back if need be.

Im not sure about the colour coding especially since you mention colour coding for download category but not everything has a category (and not sure if it ever will) but instead you will find some stuff in the upload here in downloads section especially if theres no category for it yet but maybe Alpha or JSinn will confirm about the color coding i'll let them have the final say on that.

 

Edit: Alpha I also think we should add columns to the spreadsheet for Pointers/Letters

Thanks once added i'll try and help fill in the download links for pointers/letters that we have when I can unless anyone else jump's in either way im happy to take it on as another side project lol.

Well maybe JSinn could confirm or not but maybe he might (not sure if he can) be able to add category's to the download section for missing one's but for now maybe keep a list of what has no category so if it's needed it's there ready.

J-Sinn did arrange for some categories to be added before when he done the console ones. Dont think any system categories were added just "Main Menu Wheel"
