No eta yet, I still have around 20 or so Japanese games to test. I didn't have a lot of free time for a stretch there so progress was halted. My main focus at the moment is going through all my xmls and getting what changes I made posted in threads so that nobody wastes their time doing stuff I've already done. Once I do that N64 will likely be the 1st one I return to, but not sure when that will be.

thanks for the update

I figured I could start us on a single project here.  SNES is very near complete according to what I show.

System Name Total Games 3D Box Art 3D Cart Art Box Art     Cart Art    Wheels    Themes    Videos

SNES              807               97.40%      97.40%       97.40%    97.40%    100.00%   9.29%      100.00%

All Missing media come from the same games.  The list is as follows:

Apocalypse II (Europe) (Proto)
Arcus Odyssey (USA) (Proto)
Batman - Revenge of the Joker (USA) (Proto)
Classic Kong (World) (Unl)
Congo - The Movie - The Secret of Zinj (USA) (Proto)
Dragon Ball Z - Hyper Dimension (France)
Dragon Ball Z - La Legende Saien (France)
Dragon Ball Z - Super Butouden (France)
Dragon Ball Z - Ultime Menace (France)
MazezaM Challenge (World) (Unl)
Miracle Piano Teaching System, The (USA)
Mr. Bloopy - Saves the World (USA) (Proto)
Network Q Rally (USA) (Proto)
Nightmare Busters (Europe) (Proto)
RHI Roller Hockey '95 (USA) (Proto)
Skipp and Friends (World) (Unl)
SpellCraft (USA) (Proto)
Super Probotector - Alien Rebels (Europe)
Super Shadow of the Beast (USA) (Proto)
Tinhead (Europe) (Proto)
Uwol - Quest For Money (World) (Unl)

For each of the above games, I am missing all artwork except wheels.  If we can find those I will have a mint SNES system.  1 down... 190 more to go

The 3D Boxart I have found in this pack uploaded by Styephlus (Guess Quality needs checking)

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/11816-snes-3d-box-art-complete-hl-14/

Although it is listed as 808 (Actually 809) and HL is 807. Not run dons yet to find the extar/missing one (will do now and EDIT this post)

EDIT

Styephlus 3D SNES Boxart Upload is 809 files (They are different shape to the ones in official downloads)

There is an Alternative cover for Uwol - Quest For Money (World) (Unl) (Alt)

The Extra cover is for N-Warp Daisakusen (World) (Unl)

Cart Art packs in the downloads show 786 files (2D and 3D)

My spreadsheet is running strictly off the official databases found on the Databases database.  Here are the systems with 100% videos from sync.  I have not checked emumovies ftp.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1X1pt4iF4q9xUTKU1XdC5WFqG3-hpfzPo95vP2cRkTP0/edit?usp=sharing

I have sorted it by videos (which is the benefit of my sheet) so it should give an indication of what we have.  I will look into emu movies as I have time.

My only question is did you check the videos to make sure there game videos because if I remember correctly for some videos they didnt have game footage off they put a filler video so to speak saying "No Video" or something along those lines.

I did not check the videos.  These are purely from emu movies though so I would guess they are legit?  I will try to do so as soon as possible.

Yeah the one HyperSync Media is just from HyperSync.  I am going through downloads and the ftp to see what else is available.  I am not checking quality as of right now but I am keeping all different sets to later compare.

I've been working on a 2D set for SNES and Genesis if that helps. I have a compete SNES set but some of them are low res. Still missing a lot of Genesis covers. I also dumped a really good set of 2D 32X on the Vault. I might have a few other 2D sets to start us out. Let me look tonight and I'll dump whatever I have on the Vault.

What system are you guys planing on working on next?

The Famicom and Famicom Disk System need a lot of love.

Posted

I have no clue on next sets but Alpha mentioned sticking to Nintendo, sega and Sony.

The WiiWare wheels are coming along from what I have seen.

I'm waiting for N64 database to be finalised so I am about to update my snes system and adding the extra wheels if I can sort the wheel background to match xml.

Famicom/disc sounds logical as I think the new DB is being worked on and seen a few comments around about giving those systems some love.

Anyone know how to batch add backgrounds to wheel art or is it just single I can do with Kustom program I have?

Posted

Jay, I do not have access to the vault so I am not sure how you have it laid out but can you determine what is there and finished easily?

Posted

Yeah, the Famicom and Famicom Disk System need wheels. So does the PC Engine (All other NEC Systems have wheels already). Problem is cutting out Japanese wheels is a pain and a lot need redraws because the artwork available is terrible.

I had a VERY quick look.

There are 214 folders of source artwork (Various quality) named after games in the database

36 folders the same for games not in the database

various other bits of reference source art

Ok...so wheels are the first goal then?

Are there any project threads already for them or should we start new ones?

What if we started our own threads with HyperSpin Community United as the title.

Famicom would be "HSCU - Nintendo Famicom Wheels"

This way we could easily search for threads pertaining to specifically this project.

Well, why not have the admins start a pinned topic...within that topic is a list of all hyperspin supported systems......within each system is your projects.....?

Eventually we'll have links to every project done and WIP projects in our main spreadsheet.

I see.

As I have been messing with SNES

Are we taking that official packs in the downloads are confirmed quality?

If so i can fill out the spreadsheet for Wheels, Boxart and cart art

Hey dude, wanted to let you know that I'm glad to see you having a good time with the community. It looks like you've found your place.

I downloaded them and added them to my media folders.  I have not checked every single one of them but for the 200 or so that I did flip through, each looked really good.
