OK... I was having some real issues getting the virtual joysticks to register with this game....

With the help of my good friend Majorspawn ( Big Credit to him for the files.......thanks champion)... We have stumbled on a relatively easy fix for those of us using Ipacs so that p1 -p2 controllers are available in the new Double Dragon Neon game...

This hack has been done before and we have not created the files..... Big thanks to who ever it was that created it...

So simply copy Xinput1_3.dll and x360kb.ini ( in my ftp) into your game directory (bin folder)...

Open x360kb.ini and change your keyboard inputs to match...

Load the game and whallahh... you will be able to select your 2 controllers in the config menu

Note this has only been tested with an IPAC... other controllers may not work

The control options in the game itself don't seem to stick. You have to select controller 1/2 for both characters.

Do you mean not saving?

When you start playing the game the controllers seem to be found automatically... Just make sure that pad1 and pad2 in x360kb.ini match your Ipac setup

Every time I boot up the game the controls have reverted back to;

Player 1 - Keyboard

Player 2 - Controller 1

I have to change them everytime to;

Player 1 - Controller 1

Player 2 - Controller 2

That is awesome! So here I am sitting at work and now I cannot get anything done because I keep wanting to go home and try this!

Also, for this that keep needing to switch to controller 1 and 2, why not map controller 1 to what player 2 would be and use the keyboard mapped to your p1. That way no need to change anything on settings.

Just talking about doing this with Langersld now, not sure if the game will save the keyboard binds.

But, I could use ahk to map my controls to the ingame keyboard controls

Wow, that is flipping awesome! I had the keyboard mapped in game. Set up the ini file, making PAD 1 equal to what my 2 player controls are and presto-change... I no have a 2 player game for my cab! Thank you all!

I have them mapped in game now and they remember when started through hyperspin. Give it a try, should work.

can confirm this guys....

so just a small recap..

The Game will default controls to

Player 1 - Keyboard

Player 2 - Controller 1

So.......

1. Use keyboard for player 1

- Map inside game ( as it saves your keyboard binds)...tested and working

2. Use PAD 1 for player two inputs ( default in game)

- Just map the x360kb.ini to match your desired keys on your second player CAB joy and buttons

Running it like this will remove the need to enter the game controller config on each boot

... Haven't tried yet, but if the .ini is not saving, or is changing, can you simply make it read only ?

I haven't tried this yet either, assuming it was just for iPackers. But the name of that ini suggests Xbox 360 controllers as well?? I'll see if the wife wants to have a session to test 2 players ;)

I'm having the same issue as njgsx96 had suggested for the Player 2 controls not being detected. I have a USB Gamepad that looks like a PS3 gamepad and was wondering where i can download those two files, x360kb.ini and Xinput1_3.dll? I was going to give this fix a try before trying to install vJOY to get this Double Dragon Neon game working. Thanks in advance.

How do you guys assign the 7 actions in this game on 6 button CP's? (jump, light attack, heavy attack, grab, duck, super moves, dash)

Yeah not gonna happen, my CP is perfectly symetrical haha. I was hoping it was like SSFIV where you can press two buttons simultaneously to do moves that would otherwise require extra buttons.

:D Couldn't resist.

If you are running an iPac or setup key mappers you could maybe make a push and hold two button scenario. But that would be more painful to play on than my first suggestion. Perhaps it is time to build your second cab. :) Always good to have a spare or three.

Do you know how to do something like that via ahk? I've only done single key remaps, a:b for example. But does one make it so two keys equals one? a,b:c? lol Not sure how I would do it via the iPac without holding shift.
