Polemicist Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 OpenBOR is ... different ... Because it is a hand coded PAK file recreation of classics it is in fact legal. So http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item95 Have a look around the site. If you want PAK files I did find a nice place but won't post it directly cause the bandwidth usage would kill the links and then no one would get it. PM me. It is a reasonable download (10GB for one set and found some other random stuff I haven't sorted at about 8GB)

Polemicist Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 LOL... Line up... Space: 10GB of 15GB Daily traffic: 996MB of 3GB Monthly traffic: 4.2GB of 30GB And that is what I've used on my own 4shared account. Once I've downloaded it I'll share my personal share as long as you guys can sign up for your own accounts so it doesn't kill mine. I have to transfer them in small batches with the desktop app. Kinda annoying. Maybe someone will create a torrent out of them.
HazzardActual Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 well.... now i require an Open BOR tutorial. and that 10 gb file.
jcm9800 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 hy polcemist how much games from open bor have you in your setup? and can you share thje artwork for it wheels video etc? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Polemicist Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 It is a new setup for me and I doubt much artwork outside maybe the official XML will be available. I got kinda distracted playing the games.

I can't remember where I gots mines from and can't attest to the quality as I may have made some, but I'll post mine up on my ftp in like 10 minutes. wheels on hyperspin/ vids on emumovies. I'm not posting my themes cause I altered them, and not fair to the OA. (Original artist) Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
zerojay Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 OpenBOR is ... different ... Because it is a hand coded PAK file recreation of classics it is in fact legal. It's only legal if the games you have are using original artwork, not artwork ripped out of other games.
Polemicist Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 It's only legal if the games you have are using original artwork, not artwork ripped out of other games. There are many recreations and don't want to get into yet another legal discussion. All emulation is a grey area. Who cares.
Polemicist Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I have almost completed the current OpenBOR XML set and my folder still has HEAPS of other games in it. May post the list later and get a vote and may make a release for it. I kinda like these old school recreations. I'm very fond of my misspent youth.

Polemicist Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Look forward to seeing that. OK... I have almost every single game in the official XML except for 1... X-Men ... I can find other versions just not the original. I currently have the Demo version. All I know is that the PAK size was 114 Meg... *sighs* http://editthis.info/beats_of_rage/X-Men [h=2]PAK file size[/h] 142,996,724 X-Men - v2 - Demo.pak 114,115,829 X-Men.pak 61,753,527 X-Men - Demo.pak If someone finds it let me know. My OCD is kicking in horribly and spent 3 hours looking for the thing. :raz: Worst case scenario is that I'll edit the XML and make it X-Men - v2
zerojay Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Looks like I only have the original demo but I'll poke around for it.
