dougan78 Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 Rommel - Battles for North Africa (Australia)
DamnedRegistrations Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 A couple quick questions. Wouldn't it be easier to just share the rom set? I now have everything up to date, grabbed all the Zork games, even Stroker and Sex Games too lol. Slapped together some generic boxes for those. Anyway I could just upload this set to FTP, doesn't even take much space. That would defeat the purpose of your bat files though and I don't want to undermine your work. "Confilics 2 - Battle for Midway, Iwo Jima, Okinawa (Europe)" -- are you sure this is the correct title? I can't find this anywhere and only a couple sites even mention it, seems to be some really rare budget game.
sic Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Have anyone tried diskswap on Last Ninja 1? I cant get that to work through hyperlaunch. Works great if I only run WinVICE. Can add that Last Ninja 2 works with discswap function in hyperlauch. So it seems that some games wont work, or is it just in my setup? However I saw another solution with multidisk on C64 when I searched on google that might solve the problem. WinVICE has support for a function called fliplist for discswapping, and there is a script that creates fliplist automatic. Here is the link: http://joomla.maximusarcade.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1289 . Maybe someone who has the knowledge and time can test to integrate it?
zxspecticle Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Great work dougan - a quick question regarding the hyperlaunch media manuals - do you see any value in converting the individual page jpgs into a single document PDF? - I've uploaded an example of this into your FTP folder - /Upload Here/dougan78/c64/Hyperspin/Hyperlaunch/Media/Manuals/Commodore 64/3D Construction Kit (Europe) It would be a lot of work and I'd be happy to help but progress would be slow as I don't have an much time to devote to it. Well, I was thinking that if I got them all in appropriate folders, it may be automated. Take folder name, combine them all. That is why I numbered them in order so it could possibly be done via script and maybe ghostscript to PDF? That was my logic behind that. I have used ghost script in the past to rip apart multipage PDFs so should be able to combine things. I saw a thread some where about someone else wanting to do the same thing. So I do not think it would be worth wasting a lot of time on if it can be scripted at some point. I do appreciate the help. Not sure it is entirely necessary to do it manually, though I have not done enough research yet been more focused are artwork. Thanks again!

Anyway I could just upload this set to FTP, doesn't even take much space. That would defeat the purpose of your bat files though and I don't want to undermine your work. "Confilicts 2 - Battle for Midway, Iwo Jima, Okinawa (Europe)" -- are you sure this is the correct title? I can't find this anywhere and only a couple sites even mention it, seems to be some really rare budget game. Yeah, the naming I use in the thread is general. Anything after and including the Alien 3 post will be added in an update later along with renaming fixes. C64 being c64 and readily available, I did not want to post roms on the FTP as that is generally frowned upon. If someone else wants to go crazy and put the whole set on there renamed and ready to rock, well so be it. Or I can just add the ones I am using. Someone else mentioned that may be easier. As for Conflicts 2. As I make artwork I don't generally check if the game is readily available. Just like with Flight Deck II which is really essentially the same game as Flight Deck. I had artwork so just used that rom for that one. I like the artwork so there are a few dupes of the same game in there (thunderblade, desertfox come to mind) that have different wheels/boxes but are the exact same game. I am something of a nutball lately. Thanks for your feedback. I will keep the ROMset updated on the next update and in the FTP unless I hear any objections. Thanks!
dougan78 Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 They are in the Games Folder now. Thanks for bearing with me.

DamnedRegistrations Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Thanks for upping to FTP for others, will save everyone a lot of time and it should be okay since this is an older and more rare system. I noticed you're missing a few disks though like for Lemmings and Leviathan (you just had Side A for each), I put them in your Games folder. You also had "Licence to Kill" mispelled slightly. Your artwork folders are missing some of the other disks too for certain boxes and wheels, you only have the art for the first disk on some games. I haven't checked everything yet though. Here are a few db fixes/additions too before you upload a new version, I also uploaded all the additions to your games folder: <game name="Agent X II - The Mad Prof's Back (Europe)" index="" image=""> <description>Agent X II - Personally I can't find crap for Undiscovered Underground, not even a low quality cover scan to use.

I will probably go through this week and update. I have fullfilled most the requested ones. I want to add the who dares wins games for dime33. Plus i exhausted amiga for the current scans i was looking at. I have most all the games i wanted to add for greedy self so anything at this point forward is a bonus and adding games others really enjoyed. Thank you all!

DamnedRegistrations Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I'm not sure if there is a way to display a single wheel for all disks of a multidisk game. I'm used to doing regular console wheels and for those, we do wheels for each game disc and add a little icon in the corner. On a sidenote... holy crap. TMNT - Arcade Game is really glitched in WinVICE. Graphics look all garbled. I used Gamebase version too.

dougan78 Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 Oh and tmnt arcade was glitchy if by glitchy you mean sprite clipping. If i recall it did that. Psycho pigs did that too. Funny how back in the day graphics popping in and out was just ok.
