PearceRules Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 EDIT: Nevermind, I got it working. Thanks for the script!!
cotyce Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 I am having an issue getting the game to load with script or even with the keyboard at the moment not sure who to ask help for this
ninjalo Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Just wanted to come in here and thank you for the script. I was having an issue with my Windows 7 sidebar screwing with HyperSpin causing it to lose focus, but with your script I can kill sidebar.exe when HS launches, and restart it when I close HS, so no more focus issues. Thanks again!

cotyce Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Create a thread and cross your fingers; ) probably going to research more and see if i can work this sucker out before full out asking in a thread just was trying to pick some one brain here see if they where going through anything similar
potts43 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Ghutch I am being told that RL can't interpret xbox360 button presses as it is ahk based but you appear not to have that issue in your script. If you get a moment would you mind reading and commenting....? http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1235
Undertow76 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Whew, gonna tinker with this tomorrow, just spent 3 hrs. trying to get my antimicro profiles to stay loaded. Starts up and works at first, but when you launch a game, it totally shuts down. I just updated to the newest Beta, and the new Rocket Launcher, and thought everything was fine till I started up a game. after two hours of trouble shooting, and an hour going over this thread, im thinking it's joystick disabled in hyperHQ, as it's off in the script also, I'll try it out tomorrow, does anyone else run antimicro and have the latest beta and RL? If so how did you get it back working?
ghutch92 Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 this script only is supposed to work for the hyperspin menu not the games themselves. You will need to map your controls for every emulator in that emulator's settings. 1 How to Install HyperSpin and more RocketLauncher HyperSpin Startup Script
Undertow76 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Fixed!!, Yep, I missed that somehow, I believe when I changed over to RL, my controller settings was set to Xpadder somehow. set it all back to Antimicro and now everything works like it should!.... Whoot! Great script man, don't know what i'd do without it! Thank you! 1
demonseed Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Hey Ok I set up this script.. loads my xpadder profile and works.. however if I go into a system and play a game, when I come back to HS it no longer works? Any advice?
potts43 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Hey Ok I set up this script.. loads my xpadder profile and works.. however if I go into a system and play a game, when I come back to HS it no longer works? Any advice? Usually what I do is this....Use this script to launch my HS Script. Then as I use RL (works with HLHQ too) to create profiles for HS and RL and any others I require. What happens: Script launches and sets xpadder to use HS script. Select game or system. RL loads appropriate system/game xpadder profile. Upon exiting emulator RL loads blank xpadder profile and then HS profile and the loop continues. You must setup keymapper to xpadder in RL to get this to work. Note: this v1.08 does have xbox360 controller support however I found that some buttons didn't work properly but xpadder profiles launched from it worked good. Remember to turn off joysticks in the ini file if you decide to use xpadder otherwise you have 2 programs doing the same thing which isn't a good idea.

When I exit a emulator the controls/xpadder are not working. How to I have it setup in RL to re open default profile on exit?

You would get a better answer on the http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/forum.php rlauncher forums instead of here on this thread. The startup script did what it was supposed to, now it's up to rlauncher / hyperlauncher to carry the baton. Here is the link to the rlauncher documentation for keymappers. http://www.rlauncher.com/wiki/index.php?title=Keymapper How to Install HyperSpin and more RocketLauncher HyperSpin Startup Script
demonseed Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Thanks I will look into it.. seems weird. In the script INI do I have to point back to the xpadder profile or something on exit? I have my rocketlauncerhr, rocketlauncehrui, hs, all pointed to my profile in rocketlauncher... no sure why it does not come back on exit.

RayKeith Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Hi peeps hopefully this is a simple fix. Basically when I go to launch a game with my wired Xbox 360 controller nothing happens! The green (A) button works fine to select a system or to confirm exiting hyper. also all the other buttons work fine I.e favourites (Y). I have been following Austin's tutorials on YouTube and I copied the exact joy1 e.t.c assignments as he had as he uses the same control pad but still doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks.

This doesn't sound related to this application. I definitely know it's not related if the keyboard doesn't work to start the game. RayKeith Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Hi ghutch. Thanks for your reply. Yeah even hitting enter on the keyboard wouldn't launch a game. No error pop up box or anything. The controller works fine launching from rlauncher and using the (A) button playing a game. I've decided to start from scratch again in case I missed a step as nobody seems to have had the same problem. I'll report back to hopefully announce that it was me being a noob. Thanks again.
shade123 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Similar to above but not exact. Can anyone point me to why all the buttons work on my xbox 360 controller except the A button? Inside hyperspin all buttons function as intended except A button doesn't? The green (A) button doesn't work to select a system or to confirm exiting hyperspin. Controller works in game if I use keyboard to enter game. I must have missed something as it works except for the A button selecting option system or game thanks for any help
ghutch92 Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 Can anyone point me to why all the buttons work on my xbox 360 controller except the A button? Your dog ate it. The underpants gnomes stole it. Your nemesis glued it stuck. It never really existed. It waits on Congress's (Parliament's) approval. It's on strike protesting button abusers for hitting buttons too fast and too hard. Does the start button work? How did you verify x and y worked? Does the a button work in other programs? Is it only when you try to open a game? Did you modify the settings and either misspelled joy1 or forgot to add it back? Does it do the same thing on other controllers? tvel44 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Hello everyone! Very new here, and very much a noob--- so I apologize. I've read a ton of useful information though and it's all been very helpful-- so, thank you, and thank you in advance for any light you might be able to shed on my problem... I also apologize if this has been asked and answered before-- I could not find it in the forums. So-- here it is. I was using xpadder and just added ghutchs script the other day. I'm extremely excited for it but I'm having a few controller issues and I am not sure what they might be related to. I'm using 4 xbox wireless controllers. Today as I was beginning to set controls I noticed all of my controllers get reassigned every time I turn them on. The lights don’t correspond to the actual player # and they seem change every time.I tested it with TMNT for MAME. When I go to set controls, I get this:What’s labeled as controller 1, is actually player 3.What’s labeled as controller 2, is actually player 1What’s labeled as controller 3, is actually player 2What’s labeled as controller 4, is actually player 4These change depending on the order I turn them on. The controller labeled as # 2 is the only one that controls the frontend -- but that definitely feels weird when I'm attempting to choose I game.I'd like it to be player 1, of course but I'm not sure how to get that to happen.Any thoughts out there-- I apologize if this is a basic question and if it has a obvious solution-- (but I sure hope it does... ) Anyway, thanks for all of your help and excellent work on this. ghutch, a special thanks to you for this amazing script.
potts43 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I've heard this before. I may be wrong but I believe you must keep them plugged in to keep them in the same position.
drewjbx1 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I'm using an xin-mo encoder.. how would I assign player 2 buttons if more needed for front end The pcb has inputs for P1 and P2, 8 buttons each.. There a way to add Joystick2 button 1 in the *.ini for example... sorry if this has been asked before, also this is my first cabinet, hyperspin, etc... quite a learning experience

If windows sees them as joystick buttons you will use joy1, joy2, ..., joy7, joy8 in the .ini. Try the joydetection.ahk included in the download to help you out. You will need to install autohotkey to get the joydetection.ahk thing to work. How to Install HyperSpin and more RocketLauncher HyperSpin Startup Script
