Hey guys, I'm running Hyperspin 1.4 on a couple machines and having an issue with my Windows 7 cabinet. Problem is that if I leave Hyperspin up for a little while and then return to it later to select a game, I find that the keyboard no longer works to navigate the wheel. I can't exit normally either. I have to Crtl-Alt-Delete and end the Hyperspin program in the task manager, then restart it. The log isn't showing anything wrong. I don't notice this issue on my Windows 8 machine. Any tips on why this might be happening?

Hey All Ok so I had to re obtain some of my Sega CD titles... most are .bin. however some are not playing the music? I noticed some games are in bin format when I download them, however others are ISO/with MP3. I am assuming I need the mp3 for music to work? or are the songs in side the bin? I am very confused and I think I have messed up my sega cd collection. Can anyone advise me the proper way to rename the games to work with HS and work with full sound support please. I am getting a hyperspin ready set now however they are .7z and I prefer it to be unzipped, but I know when I unzipped last time there were files within each game that tried to overwrite others. th…

Hi all, I have a 4 player Ipac joystick control in an arcade unit. Im doing a fresh install of Hyperspin 1.4 starting with MAME - all controls work fine in Hyperspin, no problems Now im trying to get my Ipac controls for use in Retroarch, but no matter what config i use i cant seem to get them setup to use the Ipac. If anyone has any help or guides on how to use Ipac controls with any of the emulators that would be a great help. Im going round in circles looking through the net. Is it the case that the emus just see the key bindings, so its just like assigning keys as they dont recognise the Ipacs as joysticks as such, just key presses? Many thank…

I have read up a bunch, and I have edited Hyperlaunches Exit Key Script so q and s don't exit, but it doesn't work, buttons 2 and 3 still exit to the hyperspin menu, and the game is still playing on mame in the background, i have also tried to Edit the Hyperlaunch.Ahk like was recommended to me, but I cannot find that file anywhere, I have searched high and low and now I am completely lost. Help would be appreciated.

Ok guys so this is the situation I'm in. I have a pre configured 4TB hyperspin set up version 1.3 which was kind of working but I had no end of trouble trying to get a pad to work with the system. So in the end I gave up but now the 1.4 version is out I thought let's give this another go.I have seen on this site that people seem to want to help people that are willing to try and learn the hyperspin set up. I followed Simply Austin's guide and all seemed to go well it's all mounted on an external hard drive and his guide was extremely well put together and very straightforward. Hi just updated to latest RetroArch and have a bit of a problem with my Bezels the last Retroarch let u go in to custom ratio when in a game and drag the green bars around to fit screen this one dont show the bars very hard to make all fit have i missed something also when i save config do i have to rename to the database name like before.

My goal is to simply navigation in Hyperspin. Currently User selects "Arcade Classics (Mame)" from Main Menu. Next wheel is "all games" I was hoping to figure out a way to do the following: User selects "Arcade Classics (Mame)" from Main Menu. Next a wheel shows only "genres" How do I do this?

My emulators minimize after launching unless I hold down the <Enter> (Launch) key until they are done loading. This only happens whenever using Joy2Key/ HyperSpin 1.4 / RocketLauncher together. Specifically something about joy2key causes it. Any suggestions?

Wondering if anyone else is having any issues with MS-DOS games in their Hyperspin install. Once i choose any DOS game it will try to load in full screen using DFend and after a couple seconds it goes into windowed mode. I just recently updated to RocketLauncher 1.0 after using HyperLaunch for some time. Games will load in full screen when I test it in RocketLauncherUI so it must somewhere in HyperSpin. If I need to upload any logs please let me know.

Hi all, Im getting the below error message when trying to launch a game from Rocket Launcher, so it doesnt work when using Hyperspin also. This was after an upgrade to HS 1.4. The funny thing ive even started a fresh new install of HS and RL to test it, but i get exactly the same error!?!?! Any ideas please? Foz.

Hello, I'm new here, I need help downloading Hyperspin 1.3.3, every time it trys to download, it brings me to a page that says "err_connection_reset" Can anyone help? (I'm using google chrome) EDIT: I tried using IE, but it gives me a "This page can’t be displayed" error

I've been updating my hyperspin set up for the past few months, I had PC launcher working fine for quite some time, recently however it has stopped working. The only things I can think of that changed in my set up since it last worked was I got Playstation 2 running/loading fine, and I've started hooking up game pads to the system. It's weird because I get this error that refers to the PS2 emulator when I try to launch any games with PC launcher: "Could not find the default PCSX2_ui.ini file. Please manually run the configure PCSX2 first so this file is created with all your default settings"" You can see with Taito Type X for example I have it set to use…

So long history made short, i downloaded the old old underground gamer 92gb torrent so i coud recover my lost hardrive,and got me the mame roms. Problem is,that the torrent does not state wich version of mame was that media for, as it does not include a mame executable. So i wonder if someone will know wich mame version should i use, or an easy way to rename all the media files to a know mame romset i have. Hope ill make myself clear, thanks for any help.

I made an XML with my favourite 302 games using a combo of romlister and dons tools. I wouldn't mind knowing if its possible to delete the other 8504 based on my custom hyperspin xml file or some other way thanks.

Hello, I tested 1.4 and noticed that when I try to launch a Mame game in Rocket mode, I get the following message: Can't fint database in C:\............\mame.xml My HS is installed on a usb key and i try to make it portable. Can you fix this issue? In addition, I noticed that it is possible to set Mame and rom as relative in HQ. But there are not good when paths are not inside root folder and fields are not editable. Well...after a long day of downloading and installing the Hyperspin 1.3.3 Full Install file.....I think I'm at my last issue. I've got the MAME emulator working great by itself, but after configuring it inside HyperLaunchHQ ....when I manually launch it from there, I get this error. Error Cannot find C:\HyperSpin\Settings\-s.ini I'm not sure how to fix this one. I've google and searched for awhile but so far, I've not found a solution. Any ideas? Thanks, David

I'm new to Hyperspin, having come from another frontend system. I downloaded the Hyperspin 1.3.3 full install and have followed the guides to get Hyperspin and Hyperlaunch linked. All of that works fine. My problem is: In Hyperlaunch, I have several "Global" > "Emulators" listed and have went through and configured them. However, for instance MAME, I click on system MAME on the left hand menu, then select Emulators and try to assign the default emulator of "MAME" to it. But....in the popup menu, all I see is "RetroArch". The configured global MAME emulator is not listed as a choice. I'm sure I'm missing something simple....but for the life of m…

Updated to Hyperspin 1.4 and Rocketlauncher. Everything is working great except now I lost the speech of "Loading Game" & "Loading Complete". If this is not enabled, I can't find where to enable it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
