Hi all I have a heap of retro controller USB remakes (NES, SNES, Genesis, PSX etc) and want to be able to use the relevant controller for the appropriate emulator. I have setup each controller in its respective emulator and that all works fine, but am wondering if there is away of setting up multiple controllers to control the Hyperspin GUI, so that no matter which controller is plugged in, I can use it to browse systems/games and start games without needing to use the keyboard. I have a USA xml file for playstation 2 games, but CLRMAMEPRO only accepts dat files. Anyone have a DAT file or what program works best to convert XML to DAT. Thanks:vollkommenauf:

hi hyperspin was working fine untill i reinstalled the pc. every time i play a mame game it works for 1 min then kicks me out? i am using the same hyperspin as it was on a external hard drive so all butons ect... are al ready working. i instaleed net frame work. am i missing somthink? cheers

Hi all After dipping my toe in the water with Hyperspin a long time ago, I had to take a break before I even really got started. However I now have a new load of hardware all built and the Hyperspin build is coming on nicely. I have MAME more or less all set up bar some final tweaking (duplicate game removal etc) and am loving it. MY question here though relates to my N64 emulator. Im using Project64 and using it on its own, my ROMS all work fine. However, when I try to run them in Hyperspin, I get told that the ROM names dont match. I think I know the problem but I dont know how to solve it. Basically, all my ROM files are named with a certain initial at the end …

Hi all I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. My Hyperspin build is starting to take shape and I now have MAME, SNES and N64 ROMs and emulators more or less set up bar a few little niggles. Next I want to add my old fave, the Amiga. I have the Amiga emulator and just need to kick ROM from my old build. Setting WinUAE up Im OK with but what I want to know is how do I go about adding it to the Hyperspin wheel? Ive never looked into adding anything to the wheel before so am a complete and utter noob in that respect. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have a CD with Rondo of Blood on it and it boots fine if I boot directly from the emulator. All I want for PC Engine is this game (it will be the only game on my PC Engibe CD wheel) but I don't know how to setup HyperspinHQ or Hyperlaunch so that it knows Castlevania is disc-based and it needs to boot the CD. Any advice?

I've been searchig for how to fix my problem, but Can't really seam to find and answers. I'm trying to get Hyperspin to work, with Retroarch and xpadder to play NES roms. I'm using a Nintendo USB controller to play them, but after using Xpadder to assign the buttons. Yet when I go and play any of the roms both A,B buttons preform the same function. For instance when I'm trying to play Contra both A/B buttons jump and shoot at the same time. when I go into Xpadder both buttons are set to seperat functions. Where can I fix this problem?

Hi, I had Hyperlaunch HQ running fine a few months back when I was setting up Hyperspin, with the download update system in place. However, when I tried using HQ it won't open - it'll briefly appear in my task manager as a background process briefly before disappearing. So I've decided to try to re-install the whole package, start fresh (been meaning to) and yet, even with the new Hyperlaunch 1.1.1.3 it's doing the same thing...it won't open at all. Just briefly pops up on the background processes in task manager before closing itself. I have Windows 8, but I haven't had any problems as a few months ago with HyperlaunchHQ, and I haven't really changed anything. Is there s…

It's on my wheel - art/theme looks good and then I press enter and the screen flashes then nothing. Flash is brief. I have the rom (sf2t) and the theme is name the same. I tried renaming theme to sf2hf but didn't work. CE works fine. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and Hyperspin so please bare with me. Alright, here goes. I started hyperspin and have the general idea on how to get the bare bones working for each emulator. I have Mame all set up with themes, wheel art, snaps ects.. Works perfect. Now I'm doing Nintendo, the problem is, I can't get the snaps working for NES or SNES. I'm doing the exact same thing as MAME but no game snaps or vids show up. All my extensions are pointing to the right media file in my hyperspin. I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out. Anyone encounter this problem or maybe have a solution?

Ok eveything was working fine, and now when i go to select some systems on the wheel it goes into the wheel and straight back out to the main wheel, and some even close hyperspin down. Eveything works in HQ and HL Anyone any ideas..?

Hi guys, Building my first cabinet here... couldnt have done it without all the help on this site, you guys rock! Im finally to the point where Im ordering buttons and joysticks so I can start assembling the cabinet and Im wondering which joysticks I should be looking at. I know Ive seen posts on here about 4 way vs 8 way joysticks but there were all older posts and Im wondering if thats even relevant anymore? I believe I read somewhere that if youre using an 8 way stick, MAME can auto adjust it to a 4 way (ignoring the diagonal inputs) when playing 4 way games, is that the case? Hey everyone, After a lot of experimenting, and trial and error, I've worked out how I can custom order the controllers in MAME. This is especially useful for users who find that they various devices take preference of their controllers. It's quite tricky to explain, but not difficult to pull off, so if I get enough response, I'll sit down tomorrow and write a tutorial.

Got a weird problem at the moment. The name of the game in the bottom left hand corner of the screen is stacking. i.e If the menu starts off at Bombjack and I then select Burgertime. You can still see "Bombjack" written underneather Burgertime, and it just keeps on stacking the game names, the theme and video change fine, it's just the names in the corner which is causing the problem. Another problem I have is that I have no exit screen. If I press ESC, everything stops, but there's no "would you like to exit" message. But if I press fire, it will still exit the problem.

I know I've seen this on the forums before, no idea where the thread is at this point now that I need it. I'm looking to use different emulators for the same game wheel. I know it's possible, there's something about putting a tag in the system's xml for an executable. I don't want to create separate game wheels because I'm relatively OCD about organization...just different settings work best for some games with the emulator I'm using, and I don't want to alt tab the emulator and adjust settings on the fly for each game.

I'm not happy with how long it takes for SSF, ePSXe, 4DO and Fusion to load isos (it makes it look like Hyperspin is not responding to my command to start the game.) If i moved these emulators and isos over to an SSD should that make the games launch a lot faster?

hey everyone so i got my fba working and want to configure some controls to the emulator. but unlike others ive dealt with there is no clear drop down menu saying here here to configure controller. there is the input menu as in the pic (cap) but it only has a select input submenu which only goes to unclickable selections. there is also the options map game inputs but the option is unclickable and pressing f5 like it says does nothing. i do have my controllers installed correctly and ive done a bunch of other emulators before this one so if anyone knows how to do this one any advice appreciated.

Its there a simple gamelist editor that can be use with hyperspin, all the 3rd party tools i use are way to complicated, i dont need to rename nothing , just load the gamlist and delete unwanted wames from the list, its that posible?

Anyone know if there are any replacement wheel mp3's? I'd like to replace the current ones with just a single swishing sound or similar. Thanks. Edit: I just grabbed nav.wav from XBMC and converted to .mp3 sounds perfect now. I still like the original wheel sounds for MAME, but it was a little crazy for my side scrolling boxart PSX and Dolphin wheels.

Ran into a problem when setting up PSXfin emulator could use some help. It starts up fine and runs well but when I exit a game it pops up an error message and tells me to check if i'm using the correct version which it is. Hi All, I am having some trouble with Fusion for Sega Megadrive where it is not saving ingame. Last time I just changed to Regen and that solved my problems. I am building a new cab and just tried to do the same and now I get "Sega Genesis is an invalid name or regen.exe is not supported yet". Can anyone shed any light on this issue please? I am no good at scripting so would not have a clue where to start with editing ahks. I think its a naming inconsistency between the module and exe but cant find it for the life of me.
