BakerMan Posted October 9, 2016 Author Posted October 9, 2016 Ya I get what you are saying. Capcom PlaySystem would be good. Check the dl for the themes already done. There is nice capcom 1,2 one with glowing eyes. 3 is just bad Sorry to hit you with a barrage of questions, but why do "you" prefer to have capcom play system as a part of your main menu? Why not just Capcom? Or Capcom Classics? DO NOT get me wrong though dude, if I had it my way I'd have a theme for fuckin everything. EVERYTHING, lol Show your support for the Most Badass Project of them all! Subscribe to me on YouTube and Facebook!

CriticalCid Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I don’t think that every single arcade board deserves its own wheel as well as there are hundreds of them. There’s no point on having a separate system with only 2 or 3 games in it (at least if they don’t require a separate emulator). In the end I think it all comes down to personally preferences. I really like the historical and technical side of video games and therefore I prefer splitting up the huge pile of MAME games in to the more important arcade boards. I just like it to know on what kind of hardware the original game ran and to see the technical differences between CPS-1 and CPS-2 games for example. As the consoles and handhelds also differ from each other hardware wise it just feels more natural for me to handle the arcade systems the same way. And as I’m using LaunchBox it’s no problem for me to sort or filter all arcade systems for a particular developer/publisher, so splitting up my MAME system into the different publisher wheels would be very redundant for me. But I also understand it when other people just want to play the games they like and don’t care about the historical or technical side of them. For them it’s surely a lot more practical to split the games just in to the relevant developers. With that said I must say that I like the current CPS1 widescreen theme that I’m using but really hate the ones for CPS-2 and CPS-3 so I would primary only need themes for these two. Maybe you could do a modified version of your Capcom Classics theme for CPS-2 (just change the logo and video and it would be fine ) and just do a new theme for CPS-3 as ninja wanted a theme for it as well (or you do, as you've mentioned, one theme for all CPS systems and make an alternative version of it which fits for CPS-3, of course that is completely up to you) Also great music choice, thanks for sharing the link with us. I'm in love with this SF2 remix THE POWER OF THE SUPREME RULER DESTROYS ALL EVIL! THE ULTIMATE HERO: DANZAIVER!
THK Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Well, someone needs to list all boards and which can be joined together. You can always separate the boards out as genres within. ..........................back with a vengeance........................
ninja2bceen Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I agree with critical on a lot of things as well as everyone else. In general, I've been setting up wheels based on the art sections in the download page. I totally get the multiple hardware boards etc. and I don't want a break out of each. The classics you have done are cool but it's unfortunate that I can't use them because I use the classic wheels as genres and I don't think we can use genre art as videos?? I don't think we can use themes with genres unfortunately Anyhow, cps 1,2,3 are essentially the dedicated wheel. There are probably some 20 games in total. This is a little different then capcom classics though since there isn't a megaman etc game in the wheels. This isn't hugely important either :-) I'm slowing down greatness, if there are too many questions, please move on to a better wheel to attack on. I'm looking fwd to a Hyperspin cinematic main menu domination Advance the cause to 100%. http://hyperbase.hyperspin-fe.com/ Planet Geekdom, Subscribe for Tutorials! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdcby-s2GwriaOHGmVC2vGA?sub_confirmation=1&app=desktop

Metalzoic Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 What the hell...? Is this the Cinematic thread now? Did all the other info get deleted? There was a lot of stuff in that topic. And are you guys talking about needing more than a single Capcom wheel/theme?
dougan78 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 That cps vid is cinematic domination greatness. Epic!
Metalzoic Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 That cps vid is cinematic domination greatness. Epic! Yeah it is really cool. Wouldn't use it myself simply because of the "Play system" text, but it is badass.

thatman84 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I really like the holographic capcom that works great. The characters not so much but that's only at 1st watch on my phone. They seem a little undefined because of the effect. 1st impression are what counts for themes imho. As I like the capcom one so much I would like to officially request a Hyperspin logo intro video of similar design around 10s long. That way I can watch it every time I boot up Hyperspin without every skipping the intro. :) Anytime you feel like it not not is cool. dougan78 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Well now that you have the hologramming down you could make a kickass theme for the only hologram game I know of.....timetraveller. Anyway I am on the fence on the characters be interesting to see how you tie them in nice work.
Metalzoic Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Dig the hologram, although I feel it may run a tad to long. Lose the effect on the characters though and just go with straight, un-altered, awesome, Capcom/Udon artwork. I also think that for Capcom you absolutely, positively have to go with their most famous, most redone, most meme'd music ever. ~Guiles Theme.
CriticalCid Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Ok, I followed a long-ass tutorial on how to create Holographic images in After Effects. Overall, I LIKE IT, but am still wanting some of your opinions. Keep in mind -- I ONLY WANT you guys to tell me what you think of the hologram effect applied to the characters. I plan on having more images transition in and out based on what game preview is showing. It will NOT only be street fighter characters. So, please... What do you guys think of the hologram effect? Like it or Don't like it.....? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP3ky2Ki_yw&feature=youtu.be That looks great man. Awesome job! THE POWER OF THE SUPREME RULER DESTROYS ALL EVIL! I followed this tutorial... As you can see it's 30 minutes long, but with pausing and going back and so on...It took about a couple of hours. In the end for nothing, ugh. Oh well. Holograms don't really fit the scheme and like Dougan said, "I was on the fence about it." And also to Dougan -- I remember Time Traveler! Sega game right? dougan78 Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 I played it at great america. 1.50 a play. Was not great but still loved dumping quarters in it lol!
ninja2bceen Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 I think time travelers is a daphne singe game but it probably got ported to other systems. It's sort of like dragons layer in some aspects. I don't think you wasted time, you have more tools now! Maybe give the characters the hologram for a moment and then with no effect faded in?
