Took care of some of the more obscure consoles today. Also noticed that Styphelus added a verison of the Wii theme for widescreen video, so I did the same with the Playstation 2.

- ColecoVision

- Commodore Amiga CD32

- Mattel Intellivision

- Panasonic 3DO

- Playstation 2 (Widescreen video)

I'll be continuing with the standard resolution 4x3 themes. You can find them in my ftp folder (if you didn't already know) /Upload Here/gibbawho/--Unified Mega Theme--/Release Ready/

so no more HD ones besides the new nes one?

just wondering i know this can be time consuming :)

I juat wish i was more talented with this stuff :(

Thanks either way brother...i mean that.

i'll be continuing both. i plan to catch my HD themes up to where i've gotten through the standard 4x3 ones.. then release both resolutions at the same time for all future themes.

jump in man. you've obviously got some skill to build on. try something more... you're probably better than you think.

photoshop is a piece cake once you get a basic understanding of it. the animation side of Flash is actually really simple too. if you've ever edited video or dealt with timeline animation, you'll get it easily. i encourage anyone with even the slightest curiosity to load up my PSD's and Flash files. If anyone can learn anything from any of it... that's what this is all about.

.. heh .. not that knowing flash is going to be of much use outside of hyperspin for much longer :)

Oval or no oval in the NES logo?

I prefer without the oval, I think the oval represents the brand (Nintendo), and without him, the system (NES).

Personally I prefer the first you version you made, but if the title is a seperate artwork layer in the theme I would suggest uploading both logo's. Switching to suit your personal preferrence is simple.

Btw, love these. Keep it up!

So in the end there will be full sets of both animated and unamiated 4:3 and 16:9 versions? In that way one could choose from high res 4:3, 16:9 and whether respective systems in question can actually handle animated or not.

I have a LCD 17" in my Bartop, 1280x1024. Can I get view this bezel like this image ???

You might have to resize the image itself.....

i dont think that HS will do it for you :(

also after that you will need to edit that bezel's ini file to show up with your resolution.

Sir Cyrano please create a new thread for asking questions that have nothing to do with the thread subject.

As alexdc22 said, the bezel image on your picture is made for a 16:9 resolution screen, meanwhile yours is 4:3. As the game screen is also 4:3, this bezel would not be drawn at all if used on your monitor. You need a bezel made for your resolution on this case. If you want to mae your 4:3 version of this bezel image, just read this page to understand how to set the screen coordinates on the bezel ini file so you can have it woring. https://sites.google.com/site/hyperlaunch2/home/features/bezels

@ Gibbawho:

You can move to year, developer and title over to the right so it lines up with the video window by changing the settings for the genesis.ini file.

@ Dime 333:

The Sega Genesis is called Megadrive in Europe. There's a whole set of European Megadrive boxes in the FTP along with a full set of Japanese boxes as well. Don't remember from which user I got it from but it's in there somewhere. Do a search.

How did you get the Jaguar bezel to work? Are you using Virtual Jaguar? As far as I know, the module for Virtual Jaguar does not support bezels.

Really?!? I just said about off topic conversations above!!!!

Please Styphelus and alexdc22, if you want to talk about bezels, create a thread about it. If not the forum will get very disorganized and nobody will find anything in the future.

This thread is already big enough (50 pages long) with the great work that you guys are doing with the themes!!!! It does not need parallel conversations!!!!

From my understanding he's been adding bezel support into the modules as he goes.

EDIT:

Sorry bleasby, didn't see your latest post until after I posted. Though just to provide perspective, I think the concept at this point goes beyond just the themes. The contributions alexdc are making are based directly off of the themes showcased in this thread. There is even interest in making matching loading screens as well. The idea being to have unified artwork throughout the whole flow, which Gibbawho has supported.

Again, not trying to undermine your opinion. Only wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page, in case you thought that the bezels were completely unrelated. If you still think separate threads should be made for the other related projects, then that's understandable. The thread is quite large at this point.

Well Bleasby, if you want themes create your own! Want bezels too? Create your own.

Busting my ass creating themes for everyone and this guy tells me take my conversation elsewhere. Unbelievable.

Maybe I should take everything I've done elsewhere too.

Just shaking my head in disbelief!

Edit: Deleted all the other stuff I had to say...trying not to loose my marbles completely...

Whoever wants to continue with the work, go right ahead. Had non-animated system themes and some re-sized artwork at 16:9 to post tonight. No point now!

I will let Bleasby handle all that from now on.

Posted

bleasby: i've already stated i'm ok with bezel talk as long as its based on these themes. thanks for your help but its not necessary.

Posted

Styphelus: don't you dare stop, buddy. beasby's trying to be helpful but he didn't look back and see I was ok with bezel talk.

he got a little overzealous but his heart was in the right place i'm sure.

It's common forum etiquette (applies to everybody) to keep "unrelated" postings in a separate thread, but... if the thread starter is allowing it I don't see an issue though.

Would still suggest a separate thread as other members with a similar problem is more likely to find it and get the help they need as well.
