jhabers
Thanks! I initially tried to get HyperSync up and running, but kept getting error messages that it couldn't verify my credentials. Again, tried looking through the forums for solution, but eventually gave up. I had just assumed that support for HyperSync died off due to transition over to HyperBase. I don't want to muck up this thread asking about HyperSync setup, but maybe an admin can PM me to help a nice newb like myself work out the kinks??? Also, I know it's probably still up in the air at this point, but any idea when HyperBase Live will be out of beta and officially released? No pressure! And thanks again! Sorn
Hello all! Forgive some of my questions, im just getting into hyperspin and this is my first time using a HS syncing software. For a general question - Is it possible to set the default of "things to sync" for "all systems" ? Say I only want Wheels, Themes and Video's (standard def) to sync for all of my systems. Is there a way to select this, or should I configure them one by one? If I choose AAE, and I click on Game Themes, the only option is 'Dont Sync'. Am I correct in assuming that the reason there is not a "Default" option is because HyperBase assumes that there are no themes for AAE? The reason i ask is because on the FTP there are themes present in /Platinum Downloads/AAE/themes/Default/final/, so is there a specific reason I cannot sync these with hyperbase? With Nintendo 64, I only have 15 theme .zip's in my dir, but on the ftp there are 206 themes present. I selected Default on Game Themes for N64, and synced, and while it downloaded video snaps and other themes, it did update my N64 theme folder complete. Looking through the sync logs and searching for .zip, i see - Downloading themes : Pitfall! (USA).zip from Atari 2600 05/09/2016 at 3:09PM Downloading themes : Pac-Man (Europe).zip from Atari 2600 05/09/2016 at 3:09PM Downloading themes : Adventure (Europe).zip from Atari 2600 05/09/2016 at 3:09PM Downloading themes : E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (USA).zip from Atari 2600 05/09/2016 at 3:09PM Downloading themes : Banjo Kazooie - Banjo-Kazooie (USA) (Rev A).zip from Nintendo 64 05/09/2016 at 3:06PM Downloading themes : Worms Armageddon (USA) (En,Fr,Es).zip from Nintendo 64 05/09/2016 at 3:05PM So it updated 2 N64 themes, but not the other 204? Right now I've got a cloned HS harddrive from a friend that looks pretty impressively updated, but I want to sync anything thats missing from the HD. When it comes to the Hyperspin interface (im on version 1.3.2.0), is there anything I need beyond the video snaps, themes and wheel art? If there is no theme present, it seems that images from Artwork3/4 are supplied to overlay where the wheel is (in the case of N64, boxart/cartridge). Is this standard behavior? I guess what im trying to figure out is, what systems have complete themes and would therefore not need any of the extra artwork? And of those systems, is there a "best solution" configuration as to which boxart to download for the optimal visual experience? Thank you for this wonderful project. We're glad to have more testers to the crew. You had a few questions, so lets get to it: 1. Set All or Defaults is something that we have coming soon. We plan on making that the first tile in the list. If you set something there, it sets it everywhere. 2. Missing themes will happen. The snapshot of the database we are using for testing isn't complete and its pretty old by now. 3. N64 is the same issue The rest look like it's all referencing the same issue. So to recap, I am working on the database admin app so we can get all of that up to date. The interface you were using is in public beta. For now, you should be using the legacy HyperSync app, as it should have all of the latest from the community. Again, thanks for checking out the app. Stick with us, we'll have some more info for you soon.
griffin518
Quick question (or feature request): will the app include the ability to not sync videos by game? I've always liked how in HyperSync you can have it not update themes by ROM, but the same option for video snaps hasn't been there.

demechman
I recently decided to upgrade my Hyperspin setup and thought I would try this out. However I am getting 8 non-closeable instances of hyperbaselive.exe. The only way to close them is to restart. Is this normal, I hope not but was curious if anyone else is having issues. I am on windows 7 still.

I am on windows 7 still. If the main app is still running, you cannot close its threads one at a time. The thread management system will just start another one. This is intended functionality. Anpanman
Gave this new build a whirl. I get tons of hyperbase live threads started up bringing the cpu to 100% but nothing further happens. No sync, doesn't even read the drive where my HS setup is at, just nothing. Left my pc like this for over an hour just to be sure it wasn't just running slow. Zero sync. Guest chris
Won't work for me, just gets stuck on the loading screen and does nothing. Windows 10 64 bit. We are still working on a debug tool for this. So when you launch the app, it will diagnose any startup issues. First, assure that you are running the app from the shortcut as admin. If that doesn't work, uninstall the app, delete the install directory, and re-install. Run app as admin (from the shortcut) Please report back if that doesn't work for you. JClarke
I admit I didn't go through the 24 threads on this so shame on me if its been asked but are there any intentions of being able to utilize mapped drives (both for the install and daily operation)? Unfortunately, this won't help me much going further unless I keep a local copy -Thanks Joe

I'll probably handle it by letting you add a 'custom' mapped path.

GL5
try run as admin Yup, did that, it's been mentioned earlier in the thread. But still nothing but loading screen. Uninstalled and re-installed a few times too. Spent a few hours. I'll wait for next release. Windows 7x64 for reference.
