shilmover
A few questions: - Can Solenoids and lamps be used on the same input? For example: ,S12,S14/L15,S21. I get an error - Is it possible to get the LEDWiz to light up lights outside of the ROM? I would like the start/flipper buttons to be lit in the HyperPin menu too. - How do I get different colors? For example, if I want the center light to be purple? Edit: Reading manual now...

chriz99
ThanksLooking... Where in the files? FPLaunch.ahk? That I got, but we are limited to just these 7 colors? search for hpledcontrol exe/ini in the tutorial. at the moment you can use pwm-colors only for flipperbuttons for example (ON Orange) Black=5,5,5 White=48,48,48 Red=48,0,0 Yellow=48,48,0 Orange=48,24,0 Lime=0,48,0 Green=0,24,0 Cyan=0,48,48 Blue=0,0,48 Purple=12,0,24 Violet=24,0,48 Magenta=48,0,48 Brown=24,12,0 pwm-flashercolor is a feature for the next version. shilmover
So I figured out that i need to launch HPLedControl.exe nit HyperPin.exe. That want clear in the tutorial. now my flipper buttons flash white. Any way to change the color in hyperpin?
chriz99
yes, thats correct. I think there is only ON/OFF/BLINK available in hypercontrol.ini maybe a future feature to add rgb colors.

chriz99
I paid 60 euros for my stroboscope at ebay. it's a 230v/1500w strobe which can be manually adjusted in speed (via pot).

shilmover
I think I blew up my Power Supply... I was testing the LEDs (9 of them; 3 on the top, 3 on the left, 3 on the right). Looked great! My kid loved them I then switched from AFM to MM and none of the lights came up. Green LED on the Power Supply is off. Need to figure out what happened... njay
I guess you connect the + to 230v wall socket, but how do you connect the ground to the ledwiz? does load not blow up the led wiz? i can buy a cool mini strobe but i need to figure out how to connect it
chriz99
it's an analog (no dmx) stroboscope with a pot for manually adjusting the flasher speed. you need a timer-relay to drive it with your ledwiz. a friend of mine (electrician) did the strobe setup here, because I play not with high volt current. njay
like this? http://www.nl.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=getProduct&R=4707907 can you friend when he has time maybe make up a schematic?
chriz99
I use these relays http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?p=97319#post97319 in short: it's the same config like the shaker-motor. the ledwiz switches a (blue) standard 12vdc relay which switches a 12vdc timer relay (grey). the timer relay switches the 230v stroboscope for a predefined time. for your own safety please let an electrician do this setup. my friend can not give a wiring diagram for high volt current. shilmover
ok. Did not blow up the Power Supply... one of the +12v leads on one of the LEDs was ever so slightly sticking out beyond the bottom of the wood rail the are sitting in. That caused it to short against the frame of the PF LCD. Fixed now...
shilmover
Hey Chris, Having an issue that I am hoping you can help me with... I have the Left slingshot mapped to input 9 and it works perfectly. I have the Right slingshot mapped to input 10 and it does the following. In LEDBlinky (just as a test), when i turn input 10 on, it works perfectly... relay fires as does the solenoid. In AFM, MB, & MM; shortly after the game initializes, the right slingshot activates and stays on. Does not turn off until I exit the table and reset it. With CV; the Right slingshot never fires. Even in the test menu. Left slingshot works perfectly, right one does no. Thoughts?
gbeef
Now to decide UVP or not to UVP!..... Seems like the LEDWIZ software and UVP dont like each other. there is considerable down and lag... Looks like Bye to UVP for now id rather have butter smooth gameplay and FF then just a blinking back glass. and my system is rocking Im running i5 760 Overclocked to 3.7hz GTX 280 GTX 260 and all my software is optimze set affinity and ive gone into the system start up and turned off resources. shilmover
i have noticed some lag too. Not sure if its the solenoid/LED code ore note
gbeef
Yeah ive decided the LEDs are going to take over anyways. I would love a animated backglass but im not about to fork out $$$ for an i7 or faster Besides the LEDWIZ is bringing VP to a new level anyways. I might just try and find some Backglass images. All i know is UVP and LEDWIZ code dont mix. Toss hyperpin into the mix and theres alot of stuff running at once.
shilmover
I have an i7. UVP is a must have for me...
gbeef
You lag and have a i7... DOH! Love UVP, but ill trade 60FPS vs 20FPS anyday
shilmover
i have made changes over the last couple of weeks. had no lag before fiddling... need to do some tweaking...
