AlexDC22 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Ok so i started this for personal use and i decided to share for those whom might enjoy them as well. These are for 16:9 1920x1080 Resolution. (SOME EMULATORS THEYRE RUNNING WINDOWED, SOME GAMES THE SCREEN MIGHT BE CENTERED SOME MIGHT NOT FOR SAID EMULATORS) I am using the artwork from Gibbawhos "New Unified Megatheme" thread to keep the whole setup unified...meaning: Main Menu Theme / System Theme / Bezels / (loading screens?) <---go right ahead xD Anyways...Some module do not support bezels yet, some do....The ones i am uploading to the FTP are tested and working...some include the modified module to make them work, some dont need to as they already support them. Again these are for 1920x1080 resolution and it includes the settings that worked for me...some have tried them and didnt have to edit anything...some have. I am rather new at HS so i am learning on the fly like a lot of us, but one thing i learned...before replacing your files with mine or anyone elses for that matter...back up your original heres a few pics of whats on the FTP under AlexDC22. Thanks again to Gibbawho and Styphelus for their work on the themes Me and many of you will enjoy Also if you dont see it here, is because i havent done one yet...please be patient Also feel free to request as well...but be aware that if i dont have that emu installed... it will be up to you to set it up. It would also be helpful if you provide files, hate doing something you will not like <--------Untested as I do not have this emulator :/ <--------New one to replace the old one below xD <--------A lot of black space, but my aim is to have all bezels the same, feel free to make one that covers more. <--------Tested with phoenix and working on windowed mode ONLY...credit to bleasby for making it possible <--------Tested with FourDO and it works better, both modules not official but are there. Not technically part of the unified themes since they dont have one for atomiswave and naomi, but like i said before...personal use and share xD --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Due to Taito Type X not being part of the unified bezels i made for the unified theme project by gibbawho...all TTX bezel and talk will be on the new thread i made for it here http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?31485-BEZELS-for-Taito-Type-X&p=299746#post299746 Thanks.
Johnny Mazzic Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Thank you very much Alex your bezels are great, I tried some and they look and work great! For personal preference I have removed the top and bottom borders, if you do not mind I can upload your modified bezels to my folder on the FTP in case anyone is interested in them. The Mexican Style Clan!

gigapig Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Good to see your work on it's own dedicated thread and getting the deserved praise.
AlexDC22 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 Good to see your work on it's own dedicated thread and getting the deserved praise. Thanks brother...i just want to give back a little bit of what i can...is the least i can do for all the great work everyone does around here that i get to enjoy using the demul58 that supports bezels, i tried my best to get this thing right...sadly this is all i can do for this....files included to replace the originals...please backup originals first. you can still see 2 black bars on each side...sadly i cant get the bezel to work on full screen and thats probably why. i even made the bezel sides a bit bigger but still nothing I am new at this so my apologies and i hope some one with more knowledge could get this working properly to cover the whole screen. Thanks again Alex EDIT: folder updated...now it properly fits the whole screen...didnt noticed the module had "BezelStart("fixResMode")" i replaced it with "BezelStart()" and moved to the top more by the begining of the script and now it works xD now all that i al missing is having it work with fade...fade in works ok with the emu window popping in for a brief second and fade out does not show at all....have to figure this out...but at least it fits the whole screen now

Johnny Mazzic Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Thank you for the module update Alex. By the way I have created an alternative for my system, is in my folder on the FTP:/Upload Here/Johnny Mazzic/Hyperlaunch/Media/Bezels/Sammy Atomiswave The Mexican Style Clan!

Sir Cyrano Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I have 4:3, LCD 17" 1280x1024, anyone can convert 16:9 bezels to 4:3, is possible for my LCD ??
relic Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 alex these are very impressive its like having a table top border in your screen 100%
djvj Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I just hope djvj update the official module soon. What needs to be changed? I don't think I'm aware of anything with this issue. DamnedRegistrations Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Nice work on these but something you might want to consider regarding a couple of your bezels. Some people may not agree but I think SNES and NES look best when played at their original internal ratios of 8:7 instead of 4:3 which yours are set for. It's also the ratio you'd get when using like RetroArch at default aspect. They're the only consoles I know of which used 8:7 for most games, so this is only in regards to SNES and NES. You can try out the bezels I made to test, just set your emu's to 8:7: /Upload Here/DamnedRegistrations/Hyperlaunch/Media/Bezels/Nintendo Entertainment System /Upload Here/DamnedRegistrations/Hyperlaunch/Media/Bezels/Super Nintendo Entertainment System I know most people are used to 4:3 because that's how our TV's stretched them, but with emulators you get to see how they were originally intended to appear. Here's a good example (click for full size): 4:3 (mario looks stretched, squares are rectangles, circles are oval, etc.) 8:7 (proper squares and circles)

Id try it but right now i dont have the time as i am trying to do these on my spare time while i set up HS to my liking....plus am still learning Plus it wouldnt be a matter of just rezise...you have to adjust the X-Y's to match that rez. alex these are very impressive its like having a table top border in your screen Thank you brother, kinda what i was going for and it suits me just fine Nice work on these but something you might want to consider regarding a couple of your bezels. DamnedRegistrations Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Yeah it's not a big deal, just thought it was something to consider. I'm sure most people here use 4:3 for those systems anyway. It'd just require you to make the borders wider and you could use my coordinates if needed.
Johnny Mazzic Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 to be clear...the module was not mine...i just adjusted a few lines to work on my end..all credit goes to djvj for updating it so it can do what it does at the moment but yeah, no luck on the fade...acording to the module it will crash at the end when exiting...so i left fade out off for now...but yeah if you can get it working...by all means share No, I do not have it running the fade out either, there was confusion of me, I thought you meant to fade in, sorry about that. What needs to be changed? I don't think I'm aware of anything with this issue. Hi djvj, the official module runs great (thanks for your hard work ), just don't have support for bezels, however, with the changes made by alexdc22 is possible, he has also modified the nestopia module to add support for bezels too.
