jeepguy81 Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Moguchan... title from an old flyer, colors are just an idea on the title as the flyer was done on blue paper. Found a small pic of some artwork so redrew the little characters in illy so I at least had something to work with. CPO is just a shot in the dark, can't find much on this game. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project

manhill Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 hello, it would be nice if someone could give a short answer: are these cocktail-themes rotatet to the left (90°) or to the right (90°) compared to the "normal" horizontal layout? best regards, manhill
cmoses Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 They are rotated clockwise 90° to the right. So when you view them on a non rotated monitor the "bottom" of the theme is on the left side. In order to make the themes work and look correct you would need to rotate your monitor counter clockwise 90° to the left.
cmoses Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Jeepguy81, I have been testing out the theme and it looks great. When I was doing it I kept thinking that I was missing some themes, so I looked in my folder and saw that some of them were not coming up. I was able to remedy this by updating my mame.xml file. I then thought that I recalled seeing some themes in the post that I didn't have. So I went looking and there seems to be some missing from the FTP site. Some of these are new, so I realize that they are not on there because they have been created since the last update, but some are from further back. I created a list of what appears to be missing (see below). Also I was wondering, at some point there was mention of a Punch Out and Super Punch Out themes. Did these get created? If not are you planning on it? I know they are both games that ran on duel horizontal monitors that were stacked on top of each other. I am sure you know that MAME can display both and looks pretty good on a single vertical screen. They also fit the joystick and 3 button limitation. I think these would make great additions, even if they end up going into "wait until all the true vertical games are done" group. Missing from FTP Ring King King of Balloons Pandora's Palace Air Attack Armored Scrum Object Battle Lane Battle Cruiser Tututankham Cavelon Bio Attack Cosmic Alien Cosmic Guerilla Enigma II Devil Fish Fantasy Halley's Commet Video Hustler Hot Shots Tennis Jungler New York, New York Imago Lupin III Moguchan Mega Zone Thanks again for all your amazing work
jeepguy81 Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Thanks for the heads up, some of the slightly newer/older themes may be missing due to the ftp "wipe" that happened. No worries I have them all backed up elsewhere so the first chance I get I will put them back. I don't remember if I did a super punchout, but I did make a punchout. I want to wait until I get the "core" list done before I start putting out any of the "oddball" games. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
cmoses Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I went back and looked at the files. The themes are missing but the wheels for the older ones are there. I had "show themes" checked in HyperHQ and changed it to "show wheel". I now see the wheels for the older ones but just the default theme. You must have updated the wheel art zip file at some point, but forgot to add the themes. I did find the Punchout wheel but no Super Punchout. Thanks

Gunner Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Hey, just trying these out on my cocktail, couldn't resist after watching the video in your first post. Thanks for sharing your work, they really are sharp. 95 pages later I think I've managed to get everything working without bothering anyone Was wondering if you ever uploaded the missing themes mentioned before? I didn't see them on the FTP and I would really like to complete my setup. Have the wheels, just missing the themes like the other poster. Thanks Missing from FTP Ring King King of Balloons Pandora's Palace Air Attack Armored Scrum Object Battle Lane Battle Cruiser Tututankham Cavelon Bio Attack Cosmic Alien Cosmic Guerilla Enigma II Devil Fish Fantasy Halley's Commet Video Hustler Hot Shots Tennis Jungler New York, New York Imago Lupin III Moguchan Mega Zone

Gunner Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Hi, Just going through your folders again and I was wondering what the 'startup and close scripts' are needed for?
jeepguy81 Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 @Gunner, I have not clue what those scripts are for, They are in the folder SORHP created in my folder, if he reads this maybe he can chime in. Ok errrbody sorry again for the delay. My ftp is updated, looks like when the admins restored from that big deletion we had there were a couple versions restored, so i'm just creating a new Updates folder. I will change the date on it to show when last anything was added, currently it's "/Jeepguy81/Updates(11-5-2012)" Any of the remaining themes will just get dumped here, since once everything is done I will clean out my folder and organize it a bit better, it's all over the place right now. If I missed anything lemme know and i'll get it up there. **I may have to remake that punchout theme, can't find it on my main pc, possible it's on a backup somewhere. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
