RayzzorBlack Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Thanks Jeep. Do we have a decent default theme for games without a theme? I could make my own but I'm sure that you could come up with something far better than I. I am finding a lot of games that can do cocktail switching which is pretty awesome!
rdhanded2 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 There is a default on in his folder My Tekken 3 pedestal conversionBasement Bar / Arcade
RayzzorBlack Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I know about that one. I thought I read about a newer one being made somewhere in this forum. But as it is at 101 pages too much too search!
jeepguy81 Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Now that I think about it your right I did play with a couple other default themes, one had manufacturers sticks on the table. I will look and see if I stuck it on the ftp anywhere. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2 - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
jeepguy81 Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 The Pit....slim pickins on this but it's better then nothing ** I found one of the default themes I was messing around with, i threw it up on my ftp folder, "default_tabletopV2, as well as a glasstop for it. I will see if I come across any of the other ones. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
RayzzorBlack Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Thanks man! I will check them out. Are you completely burnt out or sad the main stuff is about over?
jeepguy81 Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Um, definitely not sad that i'm almost done with THE LIST! haha. I'm not totally burnt out, just have a handful of other ideas I want to try as well as a pincab i'm slowly trying to put together so keeping focus has been a real challenge. Not to mention with a 4 month old I can't exactly sit down at the computer and hack away at these for a few hours. Just like working on normal HS themes, the ones without much artwork aren't nearly as much fun as those with artwork to work with. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project

Secret80'sMan Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Jeep guy, I am restoring a Ms. PAC Man cab and using it for vertical games so this is perfect. Just want to say great job and thank you for the contribution to the community.
cmoses Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Looking amazing as always. Final stretch, finish line in sight.
THK Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 almost there! Dammit, it would've been cool if you had saved Zero Hour for last ..........................back with a vengeance........................
cmoses Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 jeepguy81, Thanks for the continued great work. It seemed like I was missing some items so I put a spreadsheet together to help me see what I had and didn't have from your great theme set. I have downloaded the following sets from the your FTP site 1. Vertical Cocktail Themes(2011-6-10) 2. Vertical Cocktail Themes(5-7-2012) 3. Updates (12-2-2012) I seem to be missing some themes, wheels, backgrounds and Artwork 4's when I put these all together. The backgrounds and Artwork 4's are really not an issue since they are mostly all the same and you can simply copy and rename them to the ones that are missing. The Themes and the Wheels are the ones I am hoping you can help with. They have probably been completed but are not part of any of the downloads on the FTP site. My guess is that maybe they were lost or not restored when the FTP site got messed up. I can send you my spreadsheet if you want to PM me a email address but here is the list of items that I came up with. The following are not included since I know you have completed them since the 12-2-2012 Update and they have not been posted yet. Space Firebird, Quester, Satan of Saturn, Tiger Heli, Tomahawk 777, Speak and Rescue, Uni War S, Space Trek, The Pit, Qberts Qubes, Zero Hour, Round Up, Oli-Boo-Chu and Magical Spot. I have also not listed the ones that I know have not been completed per Bent98's list in post #991. Missing Themes - Acrobat Mission, Act-Fancer, Air Duel, Air Raid, Alcon, Alien Invasion, Alley Master, Amatelass, Arm Wrestling, Ataxx, Blue Print, Bump 'n' Jump, Brix, Burnin' Rubber, Crazy Kong, Crush Roller, Mr. Do vs Unicorns, Eagle, Exciting Hour, Exerion, Fitter, Flak Attack, Flying Shark, Galaga 3, Karate Champ vs, King of Boxer, Mania Challenge, Moon Alien, Punch Out, Q*bert Qubes, Rally X, Defend the Terra Attack on the Red UFO, Rush & Crash, Shao-in's Road, Space Invasion, Super Qix, Star Jacker, Stratovox, Super Xevious, Terra Cresta, Tip Top, Top Gunner, Typhoon and Zarzon. Missing Wheels - Q*bert Qubes, Rally X If you or anyone else has these missing themes it would be great to get them on the FTP site. It might be worth waiting until the remaining few themes are completed and then you could publish a complete set. In either case I hope this information is helpful in allowing you to post the missing themes or make sure that all are included in the completed set. Clayton
Secret80'sMan Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 So I am clear running these on a vertical cabinet with the full screen checkbox in hyper HQ enabled should look normal and not stretched as running the regular themes do now for me? Is there a mode that allows current themes to be run in HS on vertical cabs but with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen? Also, Jeep, the themes appear sideways on my vertical cab. I had to rotate my monitor 90 degrees when I put the cab together to make it vertical so what needs to happen to view these correctly? I had assumed that physical rotation of a monitor was taken into account when putting these together and swear I could have read at some point that was the direction you were going but perhaps I am wrong so my apologies if that is the case bud. Thanks in advance.
jeepguy81 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 @80'sMan.. um, i'm pretty sure there isn't any "mode" that allows themes to have the black bars but I could be wrong as I haven't really kept up with any changes that were done in the 1.3 update. In regards to your cab, did you mount your monitor in a normal "lanscape" position? In order for them to display properly, the physical orientation of the monitor should be up and down( aka portait). If you keep the monitor in a conventional "landscape" position then yes the themes will look turned to the right. These are really meant for a dedicated cab for vertical/cocktail oriented mame games, although I think one or two people have added them to a 4 person cocktail cab. Sorry if there was any confusion! **Actually....hold on a sec....gimme a little bit, lemme dig through some files I think I have something that might kinda help you out, at least a glimmer of hope!! - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
jeepguy81 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 Ok boys and girls....(are there any girls here?)... Bottom of the 9th, we're in the home stretch....THANK GOD!!! Zodiack, another one with not much but a simple flyer, so just kept it basic. Tazzmania, at the last second I found a bad photo of a real cocktail cab for this one and it's just plain black with that monster guy on it, so I did the standard theme as is, to mimic the original, and then an alternate since I was 90 percent done anyway. StarJacker, cleanups and pieces from the marquee, and a decent pic of the cpo. And I also threw together the Punchout theme again, so once I get this last one done I'll make sure it gets put up with all the other themes. Almost done guys, hang on!!! - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
bent98 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Wow! One left and only fitting you saved the last theme for the end.
cmoses Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 jeepguy81, Keep up the great work. I hope that you put a complete set on your FTP site once you finish up the last one. I have been looking and it appears some of the themes are not in any of the available downloads from the FTP site. I put together a list below, this list does not include any of the last group that you have recently finished, I know they have not been updated to the FTP yet. Acrobat Mission, Act-Fancer, Air Duel, Air Raid, Alcon, Alien Invasion, Alley Master, Amatelass, Arm Wrestling, Ataxx, Blue Print, Bump n Jump, Brix, Burnin Rubber, Crazy Kong, Crush Roller, Mr. Do vs Unicorns, Eagle, Exciting Hour, Exerion, Fitter, Flak Attack, Flying Shark, Galaga 3, Karate Champ vs, King of Bocer, Mania Challenge, Moon Alien, Q*bert Qubes, Rally X, Defend the Terra Attack on the Red UFO, Rush & Crash, Shaoins Road, Space Invasion, Super Qix, Star Jacker, Stratovox, Super Xevious, Terra Cresta, Tip Top, Top Gunner, Typhoon, vs Gong Fight and Zarzon. These wheels are also not in any of the sets on the FTP: Q*bert Qubes, Rally X and Space Trek. There are some backgrounds and Artwork 4 glass tops that are also missing, but those are easy to copy since they are pretty much all the same. I do have a question about the glass tops. I know there are some that have additional graphics on the glass or have cutouts for control panels, etc. That being said there seems to be 3 different standard tops, they have different file sizes and when I look at them they seem to be only slightly different. One has no "glare arc" on the glass (88KB), one has a clear "glass glare line" and the third one is even more defined (129KB). Are these just different attempts to see what you thought worked best? Is there one you think should be the standard? Just something I noticed. Thanks Clayton

Jeep, MY monitor is in fact in portrait mode physically and I have told Windows 7 this in control panel so that things are right side up and not sideways. I assume everything is correct so far? If I move things back to landscape mode HyperSpin appears sideways and your theme appears upside down but not sideways. I appreciate you looking trying to help me find a solution. Where in MD are you? My band plays in Columbia and Landover on a regular basis.
