cmoses Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 jeepguy81, Congratulations on getting through the list. I can't wait for there to be a final complete set to download from the FTP site. The amount of work you have put into the project is mind boggling. All of the themes look amazing. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. I think that they should put your theme on the main FTP download section. It not only shows what can be accomplished with The HyperSpin front end but also how customizable it is. Congratulations on your accomplishment, Clayton
THK Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Well Done! Congrats, and good luck recuperating. ..........................back with a vengeance........................

I want to make sure I thank all the theme makers, I tried to make sure I gave shoutouts to anyones theme I used artwork from. If I missed someone let me just take the chance to say thankyou now. Baddeolv a big thanks for helping me by throwing some artwork up on the DB, that was huge. And another big thanks to Bent98 for helping with artwork as well as putting together "THE LIST" and helping me stay on track with it, that was key. I started cleaning stuff out from my ftp folder in anticipation for getting it all straight so if someone is looking for anything in the meantime just PM me and I will try to get you what your looking for. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
RayzzorBlack Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Amazing job Jeep. I truly appreciate the work. Let us know when everything is ready on the FTP so we can raid! I also agree this should be put in the main download section. Your dedication was insane! This was my favorite thread over these long months and I am sorry to see it come to an end! Thank you once again.
bent98 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Jeep Thank you for all your hard word, dedication, and passion for this project. I'll keep ya busy with pinball stuff. I still can't believe it's over. Gonna miss this thread.
Hyperion Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hi Jeep and friends, I'm setting up my wheel for vertical mode and I've hit a snag. I want to use the original wheel art and have therefore rotated all the wheels 90 degrees clockwise (gotta love Photoshop actions!). My problem is that some images are a nice size but other are too wide, some even going off screen. I put this down to the way Hypertheme sizes wheel images based on the 'large' and 'small' settings. Will resizing all the images to the same height fix this problem? My first cocktail cab: The Hyper Arcade Entertainment System Win 7 64bit | i5 3570K Overclocked to 4.2GHz | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | GTX 970 Strix | Samsung 250GB 840 Evo SSD + 8x4TB green drives in RAID 5 for XBMC/KODI
jeepguy81 Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 hmm.... well if you resize them, remember that when you look at it vertically, what may appear to be a height, is really a width measurement in HS, and vice versa. All wheels should be at least set to 400 width already, in normal fashion that is. It may require cutting and adjusting a few wheels. I did that to a couple game titles so they fit better. Maybe break a title up and stack one part on top of the other? Got an example to see? - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
Hyperion Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 The settings I'm using now that manage to keep most of the images from running off the screen are (from memory) large: 150, small: 100. Any larger than that and they are two wide (vertical perspective). What settings have you used to make your centre image lower than the rest of the wheel images? It's funny, I only just now noticed that your theme doesn't use a pointer. Neat. My first cocktail cab: The Hyper Arcade Entertainment System Win 7 64bit | i5 3570K Overclocked to 4.2GHz | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | GTX 970 Strix | Samsung 250GB 840 Evo SSD + 8x4TB green drives in RAID 5 for XBMC/KODI
Hyperion Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Ah, looking at your custom wheel image PNG's I think I understand how you have tricked HS to "move" the center wheel image lower than the rest. My first cocktail cab: The Hyper Arcade Entertainment System Win 7 64bit | i5 3570K Overclocked to 4.2GHz | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | GTX 970 Strix | Samsung 250GB 840 Evo SSD + 8x4TB green drives in RAID 5 for XBMC/KODI
THK Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 What settings have you used to make your center image lower than the rest of the wheel images?Ah, looking at your custom wheel image PNG's I think I understand how you have tricked HS to "move" the center wheel image lower than the rest. This should only be a 'temporary' solution until 2.0 drops (whenever that may happen ) I was under the impression that it will come with much greater control over the wheel. It's funny, I only just now noticed that your theme doesn't use a pointer. Neat. I never do, or use any special artwork for that matter (I even turn off game description on most systems). In my opinion it's mostly just cluttering up the screen and taking away from our awesome themes. Then again, I use HS more often to look at themes then to actually play games ..........................back with a vengeance........................
jeepguy81 Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 Actually if I remember part of the wheels moving to the "left/or down in this case" is a default action in HS. If you watch a normal wheel when you land on a game it enlarges the wheel towards the left side of the screen kinda. @ THK, i'm with you, i call it naked HS! - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
Hyperion Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Has anyone done cocktail versions of the genre wheel images and genre backgrounds? If not, I'll give it a crack. My first cocktail cab: The Hyper Arcade Entertainment System Win 7 64bit | i5 3570K Overclocked to 4.2GHz | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | GTX 970 Strix | Samsung 250GB 840 Evo SSD + 8x4TB green drives in RAID 5 for XBMC/KODI
jeepguy81 Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 yup already done. it looks like they put back everything i deleted from the ftp, so for the time being I think it should be up there. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
Hyperion Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 yup already done.it looks like they put back everything i deleted from the ftp, so for the time being I think it should be up there. I'm loving how much additional material you've included in your FTP folder, Jeep. Thanks. I still can't find where the Genre wheel and Background images are. EDIT: I also noticed a sub folder in your FTP folder named Hyperion. Is that an invitation to upload my modded Jeep graphics? Hyperion Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 There must be a lot of themes waiting to be finalised and uploaded. In my " Breakout" genre wheel there's only one game. Can't wait! Dalba Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Hi, is there a problem with ftp ? I can't find any of your cocktail theme anymore in your directory...
cmoses Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I think jeepguy81 took off all of the cocktail cabinet theme files in order to clean up the FTP site for the finished set he plans to post. The set was in at least 3 different pieces and he wanted to organize and finalize everything for the completed set. I hope that he puts the completed set up soon. I am making some progress on my cocktail cabinet and will be working on the software aspect shortly. Sent from my iPad Mini using Tapatalk HD
rdhanded2 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Any news on the complete set, jeep? My Tekken 3 pedestal conversionBasement Bar / Arcade
RayzzorBlack Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Did Jeep disappear? God I hope not! Nope he logged in today!!! Hopefully just working on the wrap up stuff... I'd be gone for months after all the work he did!
jeepguy81 Posted February 15, 2013 Author Posted February 15, 2013 no no dont' worry, aint' going no where. Yeah im working on cleaning everything up, it is taking a little while, currently fighting some weird ass stomach bug thats going around. Anyway, you can see any progress in my file, I'm just going to duplicate the HS file structure in my folder. Hopefully this should take any confusion out of where things go for any new users trying it out. Each file will have a readme giving any small details that might need to be known. Anyway I'll keep working and ya'll updated as I go. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
