Gunner Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Ah thanks I didn't realize they were in that folder when I was exploring everything. I've got everything running good as is, was just curious. Many thanks for uploading those. Gives me some more to work on. I find the setup is as much fun as the playing
cmoses Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 @Gunner, I have not clue what those scripts are for, They are in the folder SORHP created in my folder, if he reads this maybe he can chime in. Ok errrbody sorry again for the delay. My ftp is updated, looks like when the admins restored from that big deletion we had there were a couple versions restored, so i'm just creating a new Updates folder. I will change the date on it to show when last anything was added, currently it's "/Jeepguy81/Updates(11-5-2012)" Any of the remaining themes will just get dumped here, since once everything is done I will clean out my folder and organize it a bit better, it's all over the place right now. If I missed anything lemme know and i'll get it up there. **I may have to remake that punchout theme, can't find it on my main pc, possible it's on a backup somewhere. Thanks for the update. I will add these themes to my build in progress. Sorry to hear about the Punch Out theme, hopefully you have a backup somewhere. Keep up the great work.
jrose78 Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Your themes in action. keep up the good work. 93T8XzszItc zMGcB6xZJsk
SORHP Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 @Gunner,I have not clue what those scripts are for, They are in the folder SORHP created in my folder, if he reads this maybe he can chime in. those scripts are for rotating HS when loaded if you need, and then rotating back when exiting (i use them alot when editing HS to make my vert monitor orientation so I dont have to turn my head to read sideways windows) edit: I just have HS load the open script when loading HS, and loading the close script when exiting, easy as pie! you might need to have iRotate installed to help you with this... Gunner Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Ah, thanks for answering that. And thank you for your work as well.
SORHP Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 You're most welcome, glad I can be of some help My Arcade Machines...
jeepguy81 Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 3 more.... Mr.TnT.... not much to work with on this one, so just kind of winged it. MX 5000.... Had a flyer for this but wasn't really feeling it for a table layout so just came up with something else, No Mans Land... Found some stock art here at work and kinda went with a DK layout feel, came out kinda cool. I know technically this was made by Universal, but any pics of the cabinet I found had Gottlieb all over it, so just stayed with it. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
bent98 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Hooray. New themes. I love them all but dude , No mans land looks sick.
dasaint80 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 They all look awesome. are they all up on the FTP?
cmoses Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Once again amazing work. They all look great.
jeepguy81 Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 I forgot to give credit before, on No Mans Land, I used the background image offered up to *Brian by Rondar for his mame theme of the same name. Gotta give credit due!! No onwards!! Road Fighter.... used elements from one version of the flyer, came out ok. No I haven't put anything new up on the ftp, I will try but can't guarantee anything, i'm really just trying to blow through whats left. I will try though! - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project

jeepguy81 Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Lizard Wizard.... this one sucked but after digging around at work I came up with some clipart that fit the bill pretty well. Seeing as how the marquee image sucks.. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project

jeepguy81 Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 Quester... This one kinda sucked, nothing to really go by graphic wise, almost impossible to even find a pic of a any cab. so just winged it. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
evil eye Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Wow, pretty damn nice for just winging it!
jeepguy81 Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 @evil eye, thanks! One more down... Satan Of Saturn.... Again, not allot to use, had a flyer and crappy pic of an upright cab, so another "wing and a prayer". Also, Zarzon is evidently a clone of Satan of Saturn, not sure if you want to take it off the list or not. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
cmoses Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Jeepguy81, Great work as always. You must be getting down to only a handful left. Do you have a updated count? I know you mentioned finishing all of the verticals as your first goal. I then think you said you might also do some horizontal games that were good head to head games like Mario Bros. and Joust. These would be played in split screen cocktail mode, a feature of MAME. I am really looking forward to these. I was wondering if you could release a default horizontal theme to allow us to put some horizontal games on the cocktail cabs. I recently discovered that there were some horizontal cocktail games in normal cocktail cabinets. Bosconian and Tapper are examples. Joust I know came as a cocktail but it was a specialized cabinet. Having a default horizontal theme, plain black overlay, glass, joystick and a couple of buttons. Would allow us that want to, to be able to add some of those games to our systems. I hope that you will consider doing full blown themes for them once you complete the others. Thanks
jeepguy81 Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 @cmoses yeah it's getting down there, i stopped counting a while ago lol. Bent98 can probably chime in with an updated count. Yes you did hear me correctly, there are a few horizontal games that aren't on our list that I know I want to make at some point. When I do button this up I'd be more then happy to put together something for anyone that wants to do something for a horizontal theme. I will make sure that a template for both horiz and vert will be put up on the ftp for anyone that wants to put together a particular theme for their system. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
cmoses Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 That's great to hear. The themes all look amazing, even the ones that you say you don't have much to work with. Since picking up my cocktail cabinet I have been reading up more on this style of cabinet and finding new information all the time. I am surprised at how many games were made as cocktails. Everyone knows about Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, etc. But there were so many others that I have never seen as cocktails, but existed. I am old enough to have seen all of the classics in the arcades, but I think most of these cocktails were in bars which I wasn't old enough to be in at that time. Keep up the amazing work.
