dougan78 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 Hey dougan, I noticed you re-added a bunch of dupes to your Games folder that were removed from the db (Desert Fox, Test Drive and President is Missing European versions, etc.) Probably. I did not mean to. Will look to clean it up again. I knew i should have downloaded what you had and worked from there. Oops!
DamnedRegistrations Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I fixed up everything and updated the db too, no need to worry about it now. You had some missing stuff and typos again too for a few games. Removed the dupes and checked over everything. If you want an easy way to check your roms/artwork folders to see what is missing or duplicates and to check for typos or errors before uploading, then go into Brolly's FTP folder and grab the Hypersync DB Utility. No it has nothing to do with the regular Hypersync, it's a simple little auditing tool and lifesaver: /Upload Here/brolly/HyperSync/Hypersync.exe Just load your Commodore xml into the left side and then on the right check your box, wheel and game folders one after another for exceptions. DB exceptions are games that are in the xml database but are missing from the folder. File exceptions are games that are in the folder but are missing from the xml database. It's a lot simpler than it sounds lol. I use it all the time.

I'm not aware of anyone working on 3D boxes for C64 yet and that will be a really hard task anyway since most cardboard scans never get their spines scanned unfortunately. I put it on the FTP for someone that requested it in my folder and later deleted it. I do not remember the name. I thought they sent me a PM and we had an exchange. They asked about sfodb scans and if I would put them on MY ftp so I did. I assume this person got them. I assumed they were doing C64 project stuff, maybe it was a random person. I can't find the PM anymore for the life of me in my inbox. I could be going nuts but I doubt it. The person did say the had various sized templates for boxes, casettes, etc. I wish I still had the PM. I may be loosing my mind sorry.

He told me they had moved to http://retrocollector.org where they have a scan of Suicide Express. Yours is still the best scan because it doesn't have that lame retrocollector.com logo on all of the images. Maybe you should put your thread tag on all your scans so we can't use them for anything. lol!

No worries, but I don't think it was anyone from the project because afaik no one is working on C64 artwork yet. We do intend to tackle a boxart set at some point though, just not sure if 3D will be a possibility due to lack of spine scans.

DamnedRegistrations Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Good stuff. Thanks for all the wheel work. Far as a 3D box set, I wouldn't mind a Koolbreaz style job here. There's no way you'll be finding accurate spines for even half of the old obscure games on this system. So just a spine template or two (varying colors) with cleaned up covers would be good.

Death Star Interceptor is Correct now. The wheel and box went missing for Death Star Interceptor. I put them back, updated the videos,games,artwork,database, hl media, etc. So those 3 are normal. I also updated the Dragons of Flame wheel: and updated that as well to better match champions of krynn, etc. Thanks. and I attached the video for Dragons of Flame instead. Anyway here is the new wheel:
