Here I am minding my own business when someone asks if I have Naomi games working. Well I tell them no and then proceeded to try to get them working again. I have a firm belief that this will lead me down the path of premature balding. I cannot for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong but I cannot get a single Naomi game to play. I have the latest Demul and an older one. Neither see load/play a game. I got rom zips that have 1 .dat file in side and I have some that have a .gdi, .bin x2 and a .raw file inside. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? If you think I should move this to a demul specific place; I am all for that too. so taking G…

Can someone please explain how the heck to get demul to work with an ipac2.....I have atomiswave, Naomi setup fine but DC isn't playing fair. I tried setting up the maple settings on port 3 as a keyboard and also tried with gamepad, then setup the joystick settings for DC while in demul and it just won't work..... outside of rocketlauncher or in. I'm baffled.

For some Dreamcast games I'm getting the pop-up on demul that this game doesn't support the av cable connected.....how can I fix this?

Hi, I'm tring to set up Capcom Play System using mame64, already updated rocketlauncher, the game is correctly audit from the software, the emulator run if i launch from HyperlaunchHQ. when i launch for example the 1941 rom (it run correctly out of the hyperspin software) i receive a message: "Autohotkey.dll Error at line 1545. Line Text: HideEmuStart(ms=2) Error: Duplicate function definition. the program will exit" i checked the modules note and read some issue if the exit key is ESC, i changed them and tried to disable FadeOut/in, Tried different MAME version...but the error still remain. Ideas? EDIT: log file added log.html

ok, within both of these emulators outside of hyperspin I can load them up and config the joysticks so my buttons work when games are launched.. the problem I seem to run into on both emulators is once I exit the emulators and start them up... for whatever reason the setting don't seem to stay there and I have to either (in the case of uae) reload my config file or manually change the setting or change the setting again for vice. loading both UAE and VICE from hyperspin... fire button doesn't work but left, right, up, down work fine.... in UAE (running in cd32 mode) left, right, up, down works and apparently at least one button seems to work but that's it. my problem …

I didnt see any tutorials or videos regarding the original xbox and emulator for it. Is it because its difficult to emulate? What emu are you all using for the original xbox? And is there a vid or online tutorial on it? Thanks

Hi Guys. Thanks for a great forum. And A great site. There is a lot of help in here. I've been setting up HL and RL. And it is working fine with MAME. I'm using MAME 0176. The problem Im having is my NEO Geo games. They are all working fine on WinKawaks 1.64 outside RL. But when I try to load them through RL nothing happens. RL sees all my games. I then tried to use MAME directly. But there I get the error that the ROM/CHD file is missing. ROM path is ok and it lists the games as available. What am I doing wrong? Is there another emulator I should use for Neo Geo. (Sorry for the spelling) Thanks in advance.

After I read that Mameuifx was no longer being continued I wondered what we all would turn to. I have held back on upgrading from v172 due to Lightgun issues however, they are reported to have been solved by Pitou in this version. I found this last night and it appears to have been taken onboard by someone else. I had this problem with version 176 as well. I cannot seem to select any input layout files. When i click the dropdown list nothing appears so I cannot select anything. Did the location of the Ctrlr folder change or is there some .ini file i need to edit?

Hi guys, so I got the m2 setup today and I'm having a hell of a time getting the gun games to work with my wiimote, it keeps defaulting to my trackball as the main input(which is analog), how would I fix this issue?

Could someone explain to me how to setup the marquees to work with mame on a 2nd display.....I'm a bit confused. I have a folder called marquees and in it I have separate folders correctly named after all the roms containing one .lay file named default.lay and the .PNG called marquee.png, do I have these named wrong? Are all my folders supposed to be separately zipped?

Feel stupid for not being able to get this. Never messed with RA much, when I did it was the older version. Decided to play with it some and am setting up controls for the genesis core. Does the newer versions with the new gui not have the auto function to assign keys anymore? Hell, I can't even get it to let me rebind a defined key of my own. What am I missing on this?

Hey guys, So I am usinig MAME .139 (because I have roms for that version) and all is well when just launching from the mame.exe. When I use HyperSpin however, I see all my roms and can play any one of them fine so I know my path's are set correctly. The issue is when I escape out of that game and go to load another one or even the same one it does nothing, it acts as almost there is no path for the mame.exe. Like I said it will work for any rom but will only launch once, have to quit out completely of hyperspin and re-open to play again. Any help is appreciated. Good day all, I currently have mame running in hyperspin and was trying to get daphne added. I can run the games with daphne loader just fine (short of dragons layer having no sound with the latest daphne) but when I try to open the game in rocketlauncher I get command errors and when I launch it in Hyperspin I get an error saying it cannot for the module for daphne. I have exhausted my fingers searching for a way to fix it but nothing works. on a side note, is it possible to add the daphne games to my mame wheel so I don't have 2 wheels?

i used to play with xbox360 controllers now using x-arcade tankstick (i.e. sends keyboard strokes) virtual jaguar seems to confuse the controllers anybody else have a problem?

This is totally boggling my mind. If i go in and change the coin and start. It creates a configuration file in the respective place. However if I change the normal button configurations. The default.cfg isnt updated, yet the settings are saved. Was there a change to how things were saved? I mean, the new mame doesnt have any files whatsoever, so I am completely stumped on where to find this. Thanks! Matt

I have mame .139 and all the roms i use work. Other newer versions of mame some of my roms do not work. Si i need a mame .139 no nag version but i can't find a download. So does any one know where i can find a .139 no nag mame or can some one compile one for me? I tryed but can not compile it.

Hi guys, so i just bought an xbox 360 gun(i think it's the cableas one) which i was going to just use the shell and order the sensor bar and sensor assembly from ultimarc to install into the shell but i got thinking....we can use the xbox360 gamepad for games so would i be able to use this gun as is with the sensor bar that came with it and a bluetooth dongle for the laser games? anyone done this?.....or if that won't work how about a presentation pointer......i've read that bluetooth dongles will make aae crash and well i don't wanna lose my vector games which i spent ages making a spinner for so what do you guys think?....the presentation pointer?

Hello, Getting a somewhat blurry image with fairchild channel f in MESS(I'm guessing TV emulation of some sort). A while back I was able to correct this and for the life of me, can't remember how :/ I remember it was something simple but just can't seem to find the setting. Any help appreciated thomas

Anyone have any idea whats going on. When I exit a taito type x game it will exit out and either get stuck back on the game wheel that was just played until I switch to desktop and switch back to hyperspin then everything resumes like it should.... or when I exit a taito type x game it will go back to my desktop and won't return to HS. I had type x running perfect so I'm not sure what's going on...

Hello everyone, I'm using MameUI64 for my .176 mame rom set. The issue is that I have an X-arcade tank stick and I'm trying select the x-arcade.cfg file under Controllers > default input layout, but I only have the "default" option available. All the cfg files are under the ctrlr folder and all parameters are pointing correctly in the ini file. I even tried to change it in the .ini file manually but no luck. I was going to send an email to mameui but they don't have any contact info Any ideas? if it's a bug, can I just use a an earlier version of mameui64? like .175 or 174? I know .146 does not have this issue. Thanks in advanced. …
